It’s an okay oven, but parts keep breaking and aren’t cheap to replace
We have had this oven in our home since new. It is now about 7 years old and in this time we have been through 2 oven fan elements (now on our third) at over $100 a pop plus an electrician to install. And about 2 years ago the time display started to dull and now doesn’t work at all. This was over $200 just for the part so never bothered to get it repaired.
We find the oven gets hotter than what it is set to and the trivet for the small burner is too big for our little pots. The cast iron trivets also aren’t quite right, causing pans and pots ...

The hob on the back also is part of the top of the oven and can’t be removed, so it sits 12mm proud of our shelves as it has to sit in front of our splash back, not neatly under it. The catalytic liners have done a great job keeping the oven inside clean however which is a plus, but as others have said, removing the oven door is difficult to allow for proper cleaning. But instead of paying for the repairs to get the timer fixed, when this next element blows, we will change to an oven with twin internal fans and a different brand... at only 90L in the oven, there is a lot of wasted space with ovens of the same size externally now boasting over 120L.

Oven Defects
Oven Door is almost impossible to remove for cleaning inside oven. Self cleaning does not work well.
Temperature indication is not accurate, according to oven thermometer.Otherwise cooking is reliable.
Timer is easy to set.We have not had any other problems since installation. We had to ask for the slide out trays as they were not deloivered with the oven. It turned out that was because it was a misprint in the brochure. However Ariston honoured the mistaken offer and sent the parts.
Oven seal needs replacing all the time
I had to replace oven seal within months of purchasing this oven. The new one didnt last long and broke in the same place, and I am also looking to replace it. Wish I had never bought this oven even though it does cook well. The seals cost around $119 each time. It has lots of good features but mine came with the easy cleaning sides but not the top of the oven which is so hard to clean. The oven looks impressive in the kitchen and the gas cooktop is very good but i dont like the oven.

Old Oven Blues over!
This upright 90cm oven cooker is a big step up from my previous old school cooker. The oven power and heat distribution is very good, but you have to be careful as it seems to cook a few minutes quicker than recipes state. I am very happy with how easy it is to clean and maintain. The downfalls of this oven is that it came with a couple of sticky cooker dials and the oven dial is slightly off target when on the neutral position which made me feel a little frustrated at first. It appeared evident there was also lack of attention to detail in the manufacturing as there was excess glue remaining around the oven window which at first I thought were glass defects. The glue cleaned off rather easily. The fan has also been a little bit noisier than normal on 1 or 2 occasions. Lastly, its a pity about having plastic cooker dials too - they make it feel cheap, but then I guess I am a fussy customer! Apart from these issues I have to say it is nice looking and practical. I would hope that post reading my review that Ariston will pay a little more attention to the finer details that are expected when spending this amount of money. The oven seal broke just by normal wear and tear in just over a year - back in Jan 2015 ! Unheard of, never had to replace my old Westinghouse unit seal... Ever! I didn't really mind until I was told...
Read more by Ariston it wouldn't be replaced as it was a part that is not covered. Quoted approx 50- 60 dollars! Truly unacceptable Ariston. Customer liaison and service lacking. I had bought an Ariston washing machine too and was smooth sailing with yas til then. Now you've lost me as a future customer all over a faulty seal u respectfully should have replaced free of charge. Pathetic Ariston! The oven door seal has broken again!!!!
That's twice replacing it in 2 years and Ariston take no responsibility for such a poor designed oven seal.

My door is jammed shut on my Ariston oven CP059MDX
I believe the hinges have seized or broken... is the only way to open it, to force it and break the glass and buy a new door??

Ah yes...and if the oven is hot..the stove won't work at all. As a stove it would make a great anchor. Get another stove.... I'm headed that way.
