Excellent - easy to set up and great sound
We were given some records from my M-I-L and I had been looking for turntables.
This one ticked every box:
1. Having its own pre-amp, that means it plugs into our home theatre amplifier easily.
2. Being below $200.00 (from Costco)
3. Easy to assemble and connect.
After purchasing it, I also noticed that it was made in Japan.
Call me old, but I have been careful to ensure that I buy audio equipment that comes from Europe or Japan - as I believe (and may be wrong) that the quality of design and production is just that wee bit better.
Purchased in May 2021 for A$179.00.

Audio Technica AT-LP60BT is a good looking budget bluetooth enabled turntable. I love it and hate it
Please let me start by saying I am not a record listener and I do not own any records nor have I used any record player before. However, recently, I helped a friend of mine, who is very keen on setting up a retro music system and room in her house, to purchase and set up an Audio Technica AT-LP60BT - the bluetooth version of the LP60 record player. This is no scientific review, no measurements were made. Just what I thought of the turntable.
Good:
Simple - this turntable is very simple in every way - assembly, connection and operation. Whil...Read more
st it does require some setting up - putting the belt in place on the aluminium platter and the record mat on top of the platter, and don't forget to remove the cover on the stylus / needle. Due to bluetooth connectivity, there is no signal wires to be hooked up. This made my friend very happy as you can imagine from placement or home decor standpoints. The only thing wasn't clear to me in the instruction was the 45rpm adapter. But that's mostly me because I don't know much about records. Arm is fully automatic. Press the Start button and the arm gently moves into position and starts playing, no chance of accidental dropping the delicate stylus on the record or running across the groves scratching the record. Likewise, pushing the Stop button returns the arm to the stand. Dust cover - dust is the worst enemy of records. It is responsible for a lot of hissing and popping. Having a dust cover with silicone feet so the cover can protect the player and record inside is great, and gives a nice feel when closing the cover. If you really want to, it can be removed, a little bit like removing the door of an oven. But I seriously question why anyone would do that. I do not like some of the Pro-Ject turntables for this very reason. They do not have dust cover.Purchased in December 2021 at Costco.

Good value,good sound,good looks.
I wanted something to replace a 30 year old AKAI Stereo System with Ribbon connections to a turntable & which could be easily hooked up to my Panasonic Multi Strereo System. I checked out all the details & specifications on all makes within my price point & decided on this model from a well known reputable maker. All the installation details were on brochure & shown on internet video which made connecting easy for a nerd like me. Simple also to operate with push button start/stop & light arm does not drag or cause record wear. No bounce fro...Read more
m turntable & no noisy interference =very smooth. Great sound & no distortion at high volume. Stereo system amplifier boosts turntable preamp & multi sound system allows clear instrumental & vocal sounds. Pleasant enough appearance for me. Very good quality for my low budget price point & dont think i would bother upgrading unless problems in the future. Bought from JB Hi - Fi who matched on-line competition sale price & knowledgeable salesperson gave advice.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

excellent for the price
I had a good look around for a simple to use basic turntable to cater for the old LPs I had lying around for years. I bought this from JB Hifi . This is really quite brilliant as it's a no frills turntable with quality features (no speakers or anything like that) I hooked it up with my guitar amp for a great sound!! Really pleased with my purchase.

I only write what I don't like
I have mine for 2 years now, what I found...
1. The cord comes with isn't longer enough for normal needs. I'm using extension cord
2. Doesn't come with a latch to lock up the arm. I dropped couple of times by accidently while I am cleaning dust.
3. It is common sense that different weight could result different speed, but most of cheap turntable doesn't come with speed adjustment, I have to use my trick to enlarge the diameter of the dish to make it slower.
Overall, it's a good gadget.

A Well priced replacement of an old Sony Turntable
Turntables range in price from $99. I was looking for a moderately priced model and chose this at $245 from JB Hifi.
The turntable has a start and stop button for full automation and a manual lever to lift and lower the stylus onto your vinyl record if you wish to do that (eg: if you wish to play a track other than starting at track 1). The perspex lid (dustcover) is easily removable and I removed it to place the turntable inside a cabinet.
This model has a USB jack so the turntable can be plugged into a computer and your old records can be...Read more

Hi Guys with Vinyl becoming very popular i am considering taking my collection of vinyl out of storage looking for reasonable turntable to hook up to my existing Surround sound really couldn't justify paying anymore than $200 would this Audio Technica be able to connect and is this a resonable unit? Thanks in advance

I have an Audio Technica AT-LP120 and it has it's own preamp built in so you can plug into any amp. I would assume the AT-LP60 has a build in preamp as well.
