What a dud

published

The only output is RCA cable. I can't plug speakers into it. I can't get it to play via my tv. So it is useless to me. It sits in the corner gathering dust. What a waste of money. It needs speakers with it to make it any use at all.

Great entry level turntable

I don't have a huge record collection but I wanted something to bring my records back to life without spending a fortune. And i needed a turntable with preamp so I could set it up easily with Sonos. Works a treat and sounds great. Very happy with my purchase. Definitely recommend

Inexpensive and works well.

For a small turntable with no frills the cord F-700 (welling) works really well. It is compact and goes with any matching decor you may have in your audio system. While it does not play 78's (yes, I still got a few) it is a bargain for the price. If you want to listen to your vinyl and not spend too much - this is your machine!

Excellent turntable

Magic having the fully automatic turntable. Look no hands. The only drawback is that you cannot play a particular track.

Works perfectly

Does exactly what it is suppose to and because of the built in preamp can be connected to any speakers with aux inputs.

Not bad for a cheapie

Bought mine today from JB and it's pretty good. First play was Chisel's EAST which sounded flat and I was disappointed but I've played a few others since and the sound is pretty good. Am currently listening to Fleetwood Mac's debut album and I'm surprised how lively it is. Great value player for $117.00

Very good value for money !

published

I recently purchased one of these for my son. For the price, it has a lot of features which more expensive turntables do not have. For example, being fully automatic. Don't have to worry placing the stylus in the correct place on the record. The quality seems consistent or perhaps a little better than what I would expect for the price range.
Reliable, good value for money.

Hey so, player used to work in old place, moved to the new house and plugged in the exact same way. Now i can only get audio through the inbuilt speaker in the turntable and nothing through the output into my amp

Hi Roy, not sure on what to say. I know the Welling F700 is not a sturdy piece of equipment and during a house move anything can happen. I unfortunately have nothing positive to contribute to this strange circumstance. Is it possible the connection is loose between the Welling F700 and the speakers and you cannot see it? I have nothing else to suggest.

I have since pulled the circuit board out and may look at attaching RCA plugs in place of the stock cable, maybe this will fix the issue? Or just buy a new unit.

Hi there, I am currently trying to set up this record player for my grandparents but they used to connect it to a set of speakers until they blew so we are now trying to connect it through AUX (I had to buy an adapter for the red/white cord to AUX) to their computer has anyone ever tried to connect it to a computer before and if so have you been successful and what did you have to do to get it to work???

Sorry Ms. Laura I have never tried that. Might be easier to buy a new set of speakers. Just a suggestion since they are really inexpensive these days.

Son bought welling F-700 a few years ago. Do I need to connect to speakers and need to buy needle? Which is best?

Mine are still working great, that is the needle. I would say that you do not need a "big" speaker since the wattage of the system itself is not big so go for something reasonable and in your budget. It is a nice system but not a "great" system. Hoping this helps.
