Hi George - sorry I cannot answer your question. I have not had to replace mine, so I have done no research on this. You might try going directly to the manufacturer's website. Based on prices of stylus, it might warrant just purchasing a new turntable if it is too expensive to replace. Welling F700 is a very inexpensive model, so the part might cost as much as a new turntable. Again, sorry i could not help you.

Hi Roy, not sure on what to say. I know the Welling F700 is not a sturdy piece of equipment and during a house move anything can happen. I unfortunately have nothing positive to contribute to this strange circumstance. Is it possible the connection is loose between the Welling F700 and the speakers and you cannot see it? I have nothing else to suggest.

I have since pulled the circuit board out and may look at attaching RCA plugs in place of the stock cable, maybe this will fix the issue? Or just buy a new unit.

Sorry Ms. Laura I have never tried that. Might be easier to buy a new set of speakers. Just a suggestion since they are really inexpensive these days.

Mine are still working great, that is the needle. I would say that you do not need a "big" speaker since the wattage of the system itself is not big so go for something reasonable and in your budget. It is a nice system but not a "great" system. Hoping this helps.

Hi Theo - sorry your question seems a bit confusing. What plastic cover, the records or the stylus. Not being as smart a*&e here, just not sure. I had no issues taking the player out of the box, setting up and it works like a charm, years now.

Hi Josh - I really do not know what to tell you. I purchased this small turntable a couple of years ago (2016), I use it regularly and have nad not one problem. I remember the instruction manual was a bit on the short side but it helped set it up and put it together and not an issue since then. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes helps out so if you can find someone to look at it and start from the beginning he/she might see something. sorry, I could not be of any assistance here.

I'm afraid I don't know any shortcuts here. Since you changed the needle maybe the entire stylus assembly needs replacing, rather than the needle, which would be a bit more expensive. But you'll never know until you swap something out and see. Is there a local repair shop that might have the ability for you to connect the unit to a new set of speakers to test? That could at least eliminate the turntable itself as a culprit.

Hi Swami - I have not have to change the belt on the platter (yet) but I did change the wires in the speakers to make them longer using your standard speaker wires. Not sure what you mean by "rewire the average cables" - sorry I am not more helpful with your questions. Jose'

Don't know - never opened up the machine.
Maybe Google has something on this.

I realised I didn't have to take the platter off to put the balt back on and rewired the wiring by wiring up the out wires in the output wiring.

Hi Fran - I have not had to replace mine (yet). I would recommend looking at the owners manual or even the Sherwood website to see if they have photos or instructions or even a video on YouTube. Sorry I was not much help.

Hi there - it should lift up before it returns to the cradle.

Hi - I have not issue with the arm. At the end of the last song it goes back into place. Try doing the suggestions by Karen and if that does not work, return it if still in warranty period.

Hi Rob, the replacement stylus is an Audio Technica ATN3600L, You can purchase online at Storedj.com..au for $29 free shipping.

You should be able to remove the old stylus by pulling it in a downwards direction gently. To install the new one, just gently push it on from a front to back direction. Hope this helps.

Karen's reply above is the same as in the operating instructions booklet on page 6.

Problem with the manual is the diagram for putting the stylus back on is not correct - it is a copy of the diagram for taking off the stylus cover that comes with the turntable. It does NOT show how to put the stylus back on.
After much wrangling and three people it is now done - perhaps a lesson to me and everyone else - you get what you pay for. These really are bottom of the heap turntables.

You would get a better answer from a Techie.
I use a Sherwood Amplifier/Receiver RX4209. It has a Phono socket that I use, and not one of the Auxiliary sockets.
Hopefully your stereo also has a dedicated Phono socket.
I use one of the Aux sockets for the cassette player.
A Techie might recommend an extra "head amplifier or step-up transformer" mentioned in the amp's manual.

You do not need to take off the platter to set the pre-amp selector switch under the platter. After you take off the mat covering the platter, you see a slot cut into the platter. You rotate the platter until you see the switch and can set it.

It depends on how your stereo is set up. If you have plugged it into your aux - is there a knob on the front of your stereo which allows you to select the "aux" input?

Newer AV receivers for surround systems may require a phono pre amp to boost the signal and also provide an earth wire connection which newer receivers do not have. Bought one on line for $36 Aus.

HI Jess I just had a little system which I purchased from JB hi fi with some aux inputs in the back - i think when i purchased it it was only around $150 - just as long as you have the aux inputs in the back - the sound will be as good as the system - like a cheaper system will produce a cheaper sound - the turntable is not expensive enough to warrant a big system - hope this helps

You should be able to plug it into the back of your stereo provided the stereo has the right outputs at the back. You need to plug it into some sort of amplifier as it has no amplifier of it's own. Hope this helps
