Support sucks
1300 support number puts you on hold for 30mins, the support on the other end was minimal and abrupt. Faviola was not supportive or helpful at all, understandably she probably deals with a lot of angry upset customers, but I think if she were a bit more skilled at empathy and calming down callers (rather than being abbrasive) it would help her. As for the card itself, don't even bother. Basically an 'officialised scam', not worth it, just give cash. Cash won't expire and have extra charges.

the "I'm so sorry to hear that." line or "It happens a lot with our busy lives." route. Just abrupt that I have no chance of getting any credit back. I have now also emailed [email protected] and have had a response of quoting the T&C #7 basically all credit is forfeited after expiry date. I've responded asking for any assistance of leniency due to the amount being over $150, but it's been 5 days now. I guess stealing money and ignoring me is standard operating procedure?Priscila L.Australia Post

Could not use at Australia Post
I am a pensioner and was given some Australia Post gift cards to help me pay my bills. At Redcliffe QLD post office I was told I was not allowed to pay my Water bill because the lady (who is always rude and never smiles) said someone has scammed a gift card so we are not accepting them to pay bills.
I was then forced to pay with my credit card which I now have to find the money to pay it off.
Surely it is illegal under the Fair Trading Act to change the terms of use after purchase?
PS All of the other staff are lovely.
I am not happy and think the $238.17 should be refunded to my credit card and the gift card charged. Ruined my Christmas.

mas ruined as it's such a special time of year so I'll try my best to help you. Can you tell me if they said to you who had been scammed? Was it at that Post Office or a general Auspost issue? I can't find any info to say that they weren't being accepted but what I'll need to do is to open a case with their manager so we can find out more about what happened. I'll need more details from you so please look out for my private message. The lady said they had received an email that someone had scammed using an Australia Post Gift card and that they were told in the email not to allow people to use the gift card to pay their bills.
Thank you
Jan

DIDN'T WORK ONLINE
I bought 2 of these Gift Cards to use online I put $20 on both. Balance check is free just Login Register your gift card before use. First one I used didn't work and kept getting rejected online at different VPN sites and Aussie retail sites. I also tried linking to my PAYPAL account but something happened and PAYPAL has restricted my account (not that I care there's $0.00 in my PAYPAL and I don't use them for business) but it worked at Woolworths to buy groceries. Second Card I bought I waited 24+hrs before going online and same thing it didn'...Read more
t work but still worked at Woolworths. It's great that it works at Woolworths but I bought them for ONLINE shopping I have cash money for Woolworths products I need digital money for online products. Hardly anyone wants to use their own private personal Bank Account Details Online and risk their identity or have money stolen. If you are going to use this gift card to shop online don't bother it doesn't work.2 comments

Doesn't work online
I received this gift card for my birthday in January. I finally found something online to the value of the card, but when I tried to pay on EBay, it wasn't recognized. I thought that perhaps the card was inactive, so tried to activate it myself. No instructions or codes were included. I then contacted the friend who had gifted me the card, who didn't have any answers, codes, or ideas. I finally got around to calling the helpline today. I was told that my card is indeed active, and that I should have tried to contact the merchant directly ...Read more
and see whether he'd accept the gift card as payment? I've never had to directly contact an EBay merchant in order to pay them: this wasn't where my brain went when the card didn't work. Given that the card advertises the same use as a debit/credit card and online functioning, I certainly expected it to be functional on a site as big as EBay. I felt quite embarrassed receiving follow up emails from Ebay reminding me that I'd committed to buying and that legal action could be taken against me owing to my failure to pay. I was very humiliated. I'm yet to use the card. I'll just have to make sure that next time I try I have a backup of money in my account to pay in anticipation of it not working. Not the best stress to be unwittingly gifted for your birthday.1 comment

Won't reveal which stores you used the card at.
i purchased Three Load and Go - NON-RELOADABLE Cards.
i used all 3 to purchase items. when i Logged into the the balance check interface. Under the description of the purchased items. it just says "Purchase transaction" I am very disturbed that these cards do not even state where it has been used. I've used many different pre-paid cards. I've never had a prepaid card that doesn't give the name of the store you used the card at. it doesn't say anything. no name of the store. all it says under item description is "Purchase transaction" This wasn...Read more
't only 1 card but all 3 of my prepaid cards will only list purchases as "Purchase transaction I thought maybe i should call the phone number listed on the card. maybe it will give the store name on the phone. when i call the hotline and choose the "get last 5 transaction" on the call. they say "Purchase transaction" so even when i call the phone number listed on the card. it won't even tell me WHICH STORE I PURCHASED FROM! ridiculous! so every purchase is listed as "Purchase transaction" during the call to check my balance, there was an option to speak to customer service operator. i decided to complain about this to the operator and asked them why all i can see is "Purchase transaction" and the customer service operator says they do not know why the card isn't listing the stores names. the operator said they can see the stores name on their screen so i found out only their staff is allowed to see the store name but we can't see it. I've already contacted the support and they stated that I can't use it anywhere because I don't have a billing address. This is a scam how can I get my money back.
Ibne F.Australia Post
Hi David, did you ask them for the refund process?
Yep. They said i cant refund. This gets a zero star rating. Im a mod in a highly esteemed giftcard review group. I've already contacted them all telling them not to purchase this. Luckily i was able to use the card to buy paysafecard vouchers from woolies and so i got my money back. You are filthy scammers.
