It is time for individuals to take responsibility for the wars we wage on oil-rich countries and on our environment. We need to stop fossil fuel dependence and the only way to do that is to stop unknowingly investing in the extractive sector and actively fund and build renewable energy sources. This idea is not only fantastic but it is our duty to embrace it and join in.

When the opportunity presented itself, I was looking for an ethical company. I heard about Aust Ethical, read about their thinking, talked extensively with them, and decided that my superannuation would be safe with them, as well as being used well. Having been a single parent and part-time worker, the amount was not large. Sadly, just recently I needed to close my account, as the Aged Pension doesn't quite allow ends to meet. Throughout, they have been helpful and informative. I feel that my money has done some good stuff while it was in their hands. I recommend them unhesitatingly.

If we are forced to let Superannuation fund keep and manage our money, then we at least have to be able to direct them to invest that money ethically. I don't care about the economics of it, I care that money is not directed in my name towards polluting or environmentally destructive areas. Instead it supports green investment and green innovation
