Excellent so compact, yet has the bigger wheels to get over the toughest terrain
Bought in 2012 It's very easy to manoeuvre, adjustable handle for taller people. It is very compact, just press a lever on each wheel and they all come off for even better storage. Large wheels are great for uneven ground. Build quality is excellent, this is our second child in it and we love it. We also have the capsule that clips to the front which is great for a new born. We are still using ours in April 2017

Great closing mechanism and able to buy adapters to affix a baby capsule
We used to have a Steelcraft. Definitely prefer the Baby Jogger - it is lighter, easy to carry and easy to close (you can do it with one hand) and we bought adapters so that our baby capsule (a Maxi Cosi) could affix directly onto the pram. The baby could go seamlessly from the car to pram without being woken.
My only issue with the pram is that it does not have much storage capacity underneath.
We are happy with the quality and build of the pram.

Love this - best baby purchase
We love how easy his pram is to fold down. Also how durable it is. We take it camping with us. Over the beach sand (not too boggy) tough corrugated roads and gravel. Wherever and whenever. It folds quite far back, not completely flat but almost. He sun shade is amazing as well. It goes really far forward and makes it nice and dark in there. Loved the magnetic flaps on the hood cover as well so we can check on Bub without waking her with noisy Velcro

Consider your lifestyle - Perfect pram for the outdoors!
The best piece of advice I can give is to consider your lifestyle before investing in a pram. If you spend a lot of time outdoors and want something that can comfortably handle parks and rough terrain with ease, then I'd highly recommend this pram as this is when it shines. If however you spend more time indoors and in shopping centres (and getting your pram in and out of your car), then I'd recommend something more compact and lighter.
Pros:
- Very high quality product;
- Compatible with the Maxi Cosi Infant Capsule (need to buy the attac...Read more

Well built and easy to push
I order this online in 2012 thinking I was getting the city mini! My friend had one and I didn't realise there were multiple versions!
It's a big pram, and heavy to lift in and out of a car but very very nice to push and my 4.5 year old 17kg/115cm still fits comfortably.
I had the Maxi cosi capsule and adaptors which for me were excellent and great having bubs forward facing.
We mainly keep this at home for walks to the park. If I'm planning a day at the zoo or uneven terrain this is perfect over the maclaren umbrella stroller I have in t...Read more

A great pram for tall kids!
I bought this as my nearly 4 year old's feet were dragging on the ground of his old pram. Size wise, this is fabulous. He's a tall kid and can comfortably sit or recline. The weight capacity is 34kgs, which was a big selling point for me.
It IS big, so it's also big in the car boot and heavy to lift in and out, but it's a manageable trade off for a bigger pram.
Pros:
- great for older kids
- easy to maneuver, even with the weight of a big kid.
- Super easy to set up and collapse
- great extended sunshade, magnetised flaps stay open for air ventilation
- suspension is great over most surfaces- fabulous outdoor walking pram.

Brakes no longer work!!
I really did love my baby jogger city elite until slowly my brakes stopped working!! :( :( they dont lock at all now so its quite dangerous. I cant seem to find replacement parts. Disappointed. Has anyone had the same problem? I do however like how easy the pram is to manouver and the quick fold.

Great for outdoors
Great outdoor pram. Love the wheels as they don't need pumping, suspension is great, pram maneuvers easily one handed, great parent console, sunshade has excellent coverage and seat wipes easily. The cons are wheels too wide for shops, storage hard to get too and pram is heavy. Had pram for over 4 years and haven't had any issues. Use it mainly for walking as it frustrates me when shopping. Great pram for outdoors but I also own a 4 wheel pram for shopping and a stroller. My nearly 5 year old still fits the Elite comfortably.

A great pram...but measure your boot space first!
So I bought this pram after renting one whilist on holidays. I completely fell in love with the whole fold concept-love it.
It definitely seems like a comfortable ride for now my second child and the weight capacity is great (from memory 30kgs) which is why I bought one as I thought it would last for a while longer then some other prams with a lower weight capacity.
Pros
-great fold
-large enough to accomodate a large baby and or older child
-wheels easily come off and on allowing for easier transport
-great extendable hood coverage
-comes with parent caddy included
-meneuvers really well for a large pram!

Excellent BUT be aware it is quite wide which can be awakward
Very easy to maneuver, easy to unfold and solid build. So originally this was out of my price range and was shopping for the mini gt, until I found it on ebay new for $549. For that price I didnt think twice, I figured it will benifet as my son starts toddler years. This pram is excellent being the elite model you recieve with it storage with pockets that hang off the bar with velcro straps. Easy to remove seat for wipe down. Has suspension and you can choose swivel or straight when pushing with a flick at the front of the pram wheel. Basket un...Read more

Very happy with this pram as our walking/jogging pram
We bought this pram secondhand (possibly even third hand) as a jogging and dog walking pram and also because we needed a pram that folded easily to take on a plane (our other one is a 2 piece pram). It is about a 2011 model. So happy to have found this one. It is a sturdy big pram for our 115th percentile baby giant. She is super comfy in it and sleeps in it most days. The accessories tray/bag that hangs from handles is so handy, I really miss it on my other car/shops pram. Great big storage underneath very easy to access from side of pram. Fol...Read more
ds really well and fits in mid sized car boot quite well. Great for jogging and rough terrain, I have taken it over gravel, grass, old beach paths and up and down sand dunes. The only slight negative in my opinion is the weight. I manage getting it in and out of our medium sized car and a big high 4wd boot but there are definitely lighter prams out there. But the weight and sturdiness of this pram is also one of its great features. This pram is definitely for walking, jogging, visiting outdoor markets/sports carnivals etc on grass and rough terrain. If you want a light and nippy shopping pram then it's little sister the city mini would be better. We love this pram and highly recommend it for outdoorsy people who want strength, comfort and a big safe ride for their bubs.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Too heavy
I used this pram for 3 months before selling it. Cons: heavy! Way too heavy to get in and out of car frequently. Only forward facing, not great for babies under 5 months who need to see a parent for reassurance. Basket is almost inaccessible when pram is in full recline.
Pros: big hood, easy to manoeuvre.
Best suited for a toddler, and kept as a pram for walking around your local area. Not suited for babies and lifting in and out of cars

I am pretty much obsessed with this stroller
I have the 2015 model. It has taken every single terrain thrown at it. It is heavy, but this has meant I have actual muscle tone now!!! It is easy to wash the seat. It even can go on the bus, it is a bit big sure, but it has never been an issue yet. I swear that it has helped me loose almost all my extra pounds lol. It lets me walk on any type of surface, grass, gravel, mud, (packed sand not loose sand - loose sand works just not when loaded with child and all the luggage that goes with it). uneven pavements, any terrain you can think off we have taken it with this. If a bike can go on that terrain so can this stroller. Which was the biggest requirement for me.

Such a good pram! dream to fold
This pram wasn't my first choice. My partner wanted a sportier pram, and I originally hated the look of the baby jogger. God, after 3 and a half years with it, plus working in a baby shop myself, I am so glad we ended up purchasing this!!! It folds and unfolds so easy, that is the best part, no parts to put together and doesn't take up your entire car boot. The material is cool and keeps bub cooler, the 3 pockets up the top of the pram are a lifesaver for phone/coin and wallet. The wheels are amazing - we have used ours so much and we have never had to replace a tyre. The only downer - the basket at the bottom is way too small, baby jogger need to make this bigger and more accessible and sizeable and they would have the perfect product!

Pram wheels cost same as a car tyre.
I have this pram and wheels are foam filled. For what ever reason they lost the pressure and when contacting Baby jogger i was offered to replace the three wheels for $200 + shipping + 20% discount. So a wheel costs me $50-$60 to replace.
I think its similar to a cheaper car tyre, I think its better to stick with air filled tyre, its ok to fill in air every now and then, but not to replace wheels entirely.
People beware.

Best purchase! Love it!
This is the smoothest pram I've ever used. It's a big price tag for the middle class but it's worth it. We picked one up in great condition second hand. It's the last pram you'll buy.
It handles like a dream. We live on a property and we can take it anywhere and our little darling can sleep on all terrain. Obviously it folds up so easy. Makes everyone jealous. The tyres come of in seconds to fit it in smaller spaces. The parent console is great. The sunshade is the best! It's pretty easy to wash. You have to hand wash the main seat part but e...Read more

I thought that this would be perfect for my daughter, boy was I mistaken!
We live in Israel where most people travel by bus. I had spoken to baby jogger co. before purchasing this stroller for my daughter concerning the ease of getting it on and off a city bus, and its' size, and was told that there's no problem and that this will be a good choice for her. Well, we were in for a big dissappointment as it is very cumbersome to get on and off city busses since it only has one wheel in front, and it takes up a lot of room on the bus, making other peoples lives more difficult as a result since they have to try to get around it.

Shock horror!
I've boasted this stroller since the day I bought it, had it for 3 years now, treated it very well. It seemed to be in perfect condition, never had any problems with it and I was about to start using it for my 3rd child due this week...until it SNAPPED IN HALF that is! The obvious cons I know of - Yes it's heavy and bulky - def not for people who travel a lot by car but I don't, I walk everywhere. Yes it's a narrow entry into the storage basket below, yes the little knob things that stick out of the back wheels often catch when going through do...Read more
orways etc etc.... but let's be honest, overall this is a GREAT, smooth and powerful stroller. I feel like it carries ME up the hill it rolls so easy. The seat is incredibly comfortable, the canopy is huge, the adjustable handle is awesome, the hand break is so convenient, the straps have a very smart lock that none of my kids have learned to open, one hand collapse, easy to clean.... the list goes on and on. So I REALLY don't WANT to get a different stroller (plus like the previous review - I have ALL the attachments - bassinet, car seat and adaptors, cover, jump seat, the lot! I have written a formal complaint to baby jogger - perhaps they'll respond? I am really heartbroken, I have always loved this stroller. To see the frame snap like a piece of plastic (it's a metal joint that snapped) leaves my jaw on the floor! I thought this thing was invincible! and all this just days before I'm due to give birth, what a stress. I'm sure this is all part of G-ds Master plan, something will work out. Will let you know if baby jogger has any solutions to offer but I imagine it's wiser and safer not to hold your breath.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very disappointed - expected more.
We bought this pram in 2009 hoping it would last through all our kids. Always looked after it and not excessively used. Within the first year the brakes failed which was scary, but were thankfully replaced under warranty. Recently our frame has snapped in the plastic of the folding mechanism despite normal use while using our toddler seat (which we are now told was recalled 2 years ago). Despite the "lifetime" warranty on the frame - the manufacturer has refused to fix or replace it, as only the aluminium bars of the frame have a lifetime warra...Read more
nty, not any of the other non-aluminium parts of the frame. Very annoyed that after spending a small fortune on this pram including bassinet, toddler seat attachments and covers, we now have no pram for our current baby, and no safe toddler seat to use. Also have had problems with the lock mechanism for the front wheel constantly catching and getting stuck, and had to buy new tyres which were solid after constant flat tyres with the original ones. I do not feel that this is a quality product for the money, and the warranty is very misleading. Would not recommend, especially if you need to keep it past a year or two.Similar opinion? Great all rounder
Well built, fantastic folding mechanism. Bassinet attachment great for new borns, have been able to use normal seat from 4 months but with a padded insert (from a car seat).
Have used this for 3 years and still going with 2nd child. Preferred this model to other smaller 3 wheel or 4 wheel variants primarily to go running with. Over a 12 month period it was used solidly for 6-10km runs up to 3 times a week around the local paved paths and has never missed a beat. Never had to inflate the tires/never had a flat.
Only complaint would be their sk...Read more

Another question about a recently purchased second-hand elite.... I noticed in a lot of pictures there is fabric that attaches to the bar/frame behind the canopy. The one I purchased does not have this extra piece of fabric. What is it’s purpose? Thanks!
