Great for two
We bought this stroller when we were having number 2 (they are 14 months apart). Was great for baby and toddler just for enabling us to get out the house. We did however find that having a toddler sitting over the front wheel is a problem. The stroller becomes unstable (especially on footpaths that have slope) and quite often i had to walk next to the stroller to prevent it from tipping. There are also plenty of shops you just can't go into because there isn't enough room to get around.
Was able to have 2 children (when using toddler seat attachment)
not very stable due to 3 wheel configuration and toddler over the front seat made it heavy to manouver
buy from USA
Just received our city elite after looking in stores / online in australia. We were going to get the city mini as couldn't see much advantage for the extra $200 - $300. However, we ended up with the city elite bought from Amazon.com from USA - INCLUDING postage and handling was only $450 with accessories!!! Cheapest we had found in Australia was $720. It arrived within one week, delivered to our door.
easy to fold, great off road, light weight
dont buy in australia - get it from amazon
Could you also tell me how you shipped it from the US? I just tried to buy from Amazon and they don't ship to Australia. I'd have to set up a US address
We also purchased from Amazon and saved heaps even inc delivery to Australia in Dec last year. Fantastic Pram, love it.

Baby Jogger City Elite 2012 - Red
We've been looking for something reliable and easy to use stroller. When we saw this at the shops, it was at great; but when we saw the price... it almost drove us away. After seeing a video tutorial of this product on Youtube, we just became deadset on this thereafter and have been looking at a discounted version. Which is where we found this to be true when we walked into the front door at the Baby Expo in Melbourne in October. It had a 10 percent discount and we knew we couldn't get it any where cheaper or better either online or at a physic...
Read moreal store. So we just went with it and only picked it up 2 weeks ago. This is just so practical and I am just amazed to find that newer versions of the Baby Jogger brand name are compatible with older models; especially the accessories... and there are quite a lot of it. This pram / stroller looks the part and ticks all of our boxes, I have no doubts in our minds that this will work flawlessly for years to come. We got ours in red; black and sand colours are just too bland and just doesn't stand out from the rest. Easy to fold and unfold, Practical, Lots of Storage even for stock standard, Never have to pump the wheels, Large wheels; Seems to be very capable in any thing. Light (from a guy's point of view) Needs more colour options- 7 reviews

Great Stoller
After a lot of research at looking around we bought this stroller for our first child. Everything works well and is well placed. It is super easy to fold up and fits in the back of our Ford Fiesta with a bit of room left for groceries. The basket in the bottom is a little small and hard to get to, but does the job.
Easy to fold, stable and sturdy
Bottom basket is a little small

Awesome pram worth the money
I love this pram I use it everywhere I need to without a problem. I bought it due to having an autistic son who like to run away. It is one of the only prams that would take a child not just fit a toddler. My son will be 7 years old soon and he still has plenty room to grow before he will out grow it. It is really comfortable for the child as well as the parent to push and has an adjustable handle. Love the brake up near the handle and it works extremely well. The whole layout of the pram is great as it has pockets for the parent to store keys and stuff safely.
Great for a child who is tall/heavy, reliable and strongly built, great brake, storage pockets and it is really comfortable.
Very expensive
Do you think it's suitable for travelling?

The Pram every mother needs!
I LOVE my Baby Jogger City Elite pram. It has so many features, but not enough to overwhelm the newest mum. I love the easy break feature near the handle, I love the handle can be raised higher or lower for grandparents or friends to use at ease, I LOVE the larger canopy which acts as a great rain protector or sun protector but the best feature of all is it's easy collapse feature. I can have bub in one arm and hurl the pram into the boot at once. Yes, it is heavier than the City Mini but it is more sturdier and we did buy it so we could purchase the toddler attachment seat, which unfortunately has been recalled.
Easy to collapse and put up
Can no longer get the attachable toddler seat as of October 2011

A pram review from a bloke's perspective
We had an insight into this make and model through some friends who had one. Notwithstanding this, we went to all the usual shops (KMart, Big W, Baby on a Budget, Babies R us) and the choices varied as much as the issues each pram had. Some of them were impossible to collapse and expand without what seemed like an engineering degree and the dexterity of an ape, and others looked like a wheel would fall off the moment you ran over a honky nut on the footpath.
So we come to the City Elite from Baby Jogger, which we purchased online from a US ...
Read morestore. The only difference between it and Australian market ones (aside from the $400-odd price difference) is that the brake lever isnt colour coded red. I have a can of red spray paint in the shed... Anyhow, to the review. The City Elite is a quality bit of gear and it shows from the materials used in its construction, through to the way it is put together and all the little touches that make life easier when you're trying to weave your way around the shops on a Saturday afternoon with a screaming 8 month old in it. Like the 'peep' windows to let you check on bub, and how the flaps that cover them are held down with magnets, not velcro. Under-seat storage with an access flap at the front is a handy thing to have, but it could be bigger. I also like the size and strength of the wheels, which allow you to push it over grass, boggy sand, mount kerbs and all the other blokey things you do with your son when you go for walkies. Those wheels remove in seconds as well, for easy replacement or for storing the pram. Brakes are operated by a single lever up high near the handle bar - no stuffing around with your feet with brake levers on each wheel. As for maneuverability, it literally is child's play. The pram is so smooth and turns in its own length without any issues or hesitation. One handed steering is not a problem and you won't notice its weight and it won't wander all over the place like some prams. Probably the best thing about this pram for me was the ease in which it collapses. Pull the central strap in the seat of the pram and lift and - whump - that's it, all folded in. For me, having a pram that was easy to put away in the car was a deal breaker because as I said earlier, some of the prams around were so counter-intuitive to fold, it made me wonder how they sold them at all. No such problem with the City Elite.Great review, well written. Are you a professional writer or a talented amateur? Not helpful to me personally as my pram-pushing days are well behind me; I just enjoyed the story. More reviews please.
Hi Old_Grumpy, not a professional writer, I do a fair amount of writing in my line of work though, but it's usually boring government reports :-P
My daughter has one of these. Fantastic! Wish they were around in my day would have saved a lot of tears of frustration.

Fantastic ! Best decision ever
Was recommended this pram and it was a great decision !
It's nice and light and folds up so easily with the pull of one strap and great to push :) also loving the fact it goes up to 25kg and it has a hand break and not a foot break. Would def recommend to anyone who is looking for a new pram

Excellent pram, easy to push & use. Quality product
I love this pram. Excellent sunshade covers for bub. Purchased universal accessories (rain cover & insect cover) to save money on the genuine accessories. I have the Compact Pram to go with it too (bassinet attachment) so when bub was very newborn they could face me.Very easy to manuver around. Purchased this as we live in a rural area and do not have many footpaths, so this pram is ideal for both supermarkets and off road. Love the Baby Jogger brand. The only downside is that when planning bub #2, there is no jump seat for this pram, only a gl...

Love this Pram
Sure it is a little bigger but love this pram!!! It is great for walking with 2 large dogs and long distance. Awesome one hand folding, which was the selling point for me. I have even found it to be easy to push with a toddler sitting on it as well as my child! All my friends who have kids are jealous of this pram when they push it as it is so easy to push and turn around corners
One and folding
Basket, hard to access esp when baby is sitting in the pram, the cross bar is in the way at the back.

Love it! Would buy again over other prams on the market
After months of searching for the right pram I am so happy we chose the city elite. It is sturdy, comfortable for baby, attractive looking and easy to fold. It has a quality feel to it that other prams lack. We bought the bassinet too, which was invaluable when my baby was a new born.
It's sturdiness and ease to manage
It is big, but it hasn't really effected us. Heavy to lift, especially after a c-section!
Ive been looking at this one and since its a bigger pram am wondering if its a bit harder to get through some doors or around corners, or where there no problems with that?
I find that there is no problems with moving around corners or through doors. There are the occasional doorways that you wont fit through (also suppermarket checkouts) but almost every other pram I have seen have the same problem!!
How easy is getting this pram in he boot of a car? I have the Valco rebel q pram and that fills the boot space of our
Honda HRV. Hard then doing the grocery shop.

Ticks the boxes
This is a fantastic pram! I have the 2010 model which i recently bought from ebay, however it was in top notch condition for a second hand pram. It is the easiest thing to push and manuever. I love that it is so easy to fold up, and the hood is massive so blocks out sun without blocking baby's view- hood also has magnetic closers and air vents. It has a large storage basket and heaps of other pockets and compartments to store all you need. It also has an adjustable handle so i can have it pretty low which is good cos i'm only 160cm tall; it is ...
Read morenot a reversible handle so may not be suitable if you have a newborn. The only negatives are: 1) the straps don't go as small as necessary- i have an 8 month old and the straps are on the smallest possible and its still too big- not sure how you'd go with a newborn in it!; 2) it is a bit wide at the back wheels so can be tricky in tight spaces. easy to manuever, heaps of compartments, great shade. easy to fold a bit wide, long straps, no reversible handleI purchased the pram new in Dec 2010 and loved it but bought it thinking I would be able to buy toddler seat at later date. It has now been recalled and so it doesn't accomodate for 2 children. I ou...

What a lemon of a pram!
My husband and I were so excited when we purchased our City Elite, not only was it oh so easy to collapse and store but it looked big and scared people out of your way in crowded shopping malls. When we bought it we were told that the toddler seat was available anytime and that compared to other brands it was quite cheap, awesome we though! Wrong!
When we fell pregnant with our second child (6 months after buying the pram) we went to purchase the toddler seat only to be told that it was discontinued until further 'safety testing' in the US but...
Wow, I have 7 weeks to go and have this pram on layby...I knew about the second seat being recalled but now wondering what other pram I can get that is good for walking, I don't want to be wasting $700 if BJ customer service is bad!

Excellent
As a self confessed pramaholic, I feel I have come as close to the perfect pram as I can with the city elite. It's extremely well made, sturdy and safe yet light to push. I bought this to be my one size fits all pram, to replace my smaller car stroller and larger jogger. It was a tough decision between the city classic and the city elite, but I felt that the mesh back in the recline, the larger bubble canopy, the raised kicker and the magnetic window and vent covers were worth the extra bucks and weight.
I cant recommend the city elite highly...
Perfect for active people
This pram is absolutely fantastic. I tried a friend's before I purchased mind and am so happy with it. I walk and jog a lot and have bashed this pram around for 2 years and it is still going strong. It moves easily, doing a 360 turn on itself. It has ample space in the carrier underneath easily fitting in some groceries.
Easy handling, folds up super quick
It is big!

Great pram! perfect for my needs.
I have had my pram for just over 3 months now.
Used it with a valco cocoon inside when baby was just born. (It clips in easy and saves you buying the bassinette attachment which are crazy priced) She is getting a little big for it now.
I love the magnets for the peek windows that allows you to check on baby and not disturb as babies hate velcro, wakes them up every time.
Great big canopy which shuts the sun right out, my favorite part of the pram as i do quite a few KM's around the local walking track.

Overall an excellent pram! Best fold on the market.
I did a lot of research to end up with the baby jogger city elite. It was the easy fold mechanism that sold it for me. I've collapsed it and put it into the car with the baby still on my hip. (not ideal or recommended, but doable if you're desperate & I'd suggest impossible with any other pram). It's fabulous to jog with and steers beautifully. The hood is the other huge positive. It has three options and blocks the sun far better than any other pram. Plenty of pockets and storage underneath.
Now the cons, not many, but they exist. It's large ...

The best we came across
It took us about two full days of searching and visiting baby stores until we decided to get the baby jogger. Whilst it's a fairly large pram it is so easy to manouvre. Since we got we had it we've used it on all sorts of terrain and it handles all situations with ease.
The base is easy to adjust up down and the adjustable handle suits both tall and not so tall people. The way you close this thing was the biggest drawcard for us. It can be done with one hand whilst holding baby in the other. It is really very simple.

Excellent quality pram
I love my baby jogger City Elite pram!! I purchased this pram with all the accessories - bassinett, rain cover and UV net.
The bassinett was excellent for the first 3 months when our son was born. I probably would have liked to have used it longer but my model is a 2009 and the storage underneath the pram is attached to the pram material itself so whilst I was using the basinett there was nowhere to store shopping etc.
The canopy is enormous making it nice and dark for bubs to go to sleep. It's easy to manuvour easily with one hand. The ut...

Great pram
We bought this after my sil loved hers. We love the fact that it is sturdy, folds up easily (although it is a little heavy) and that you don't have to disassemble it to take it down. Son is happy in it, although it does get a little hot in the middle of Summer. Wheels are nice and big, and we haven't had a blowout yet (after 5 months - and we are rough on it!) Goes well off road (beach, tracks etc) and steers wonderfully.
easy to set up and put away ('pull to close lever), brake on handle very easy to use), sunshade covers lots of the pram
a little heavy to pick up and put in boot of car, on the more expensive side of the market, have to buy sunshade etc separate.

Perfect pram for me - but make sure this is the kind of pram you want
Fantastic off road pram for our beach bum lifestyle. But only buy this pram if its the kind of pram you need - a rugged, off road hummer. It's not a public transport, inner urban, cafe set pram.
Despite its fantastic one hand/one move fold, this pram is 12kg so it will be heavy and bulky to lift into the car and onto buses - so think about how you will be using your pram before you buy it.
There are no footpaths where we live and Baby Jogger handles the off road so smoothly, with its large wheels and front suspension. And this off road ...
Read moreis why you need its 12kg steel frame and solid filled tyres (no flats). You want something a bit heavier and more stable over the bumps. Despite its weight, the pram rolls so smoothly. Even off road, on gravel paths, I am only using one hand to push, and the steering it so responsive - it feels like you are just guiding the pram not pushing it. Best of all this is the pram for tall dads. My 6'2 husband chose the pram after I gave him 3 models to trial (BJ, mountain buggy and valco). He felt that he fitted BJ the best and loved the steering and one hand fold. We are only having one bub, so again, the lack of toddler seats etc is no prob. So don't buy this pram if you live in the city and never plan to take the pram off the footpath. You wont fit down shopping aisles, you block everyone else in the cafe, you will need help getting off the train - convinced?- 5 reviews

Totally regret buying it
I cannot believe everyone didn't red alert this pram as being sooooo heavy you won't even want to use it. I want to catch the train and to do so, I need to climb a massive flight of stairs four times and thought I could just carry this pram up with one hand and baby in the other. No way. It takes up a huge amount of space in a boot and I have trouble lifting it into a boot. I am 170cm tall and of medium build so no weakling. Sooo disappointed as I now want to buy another pram but after spending a bomb on this one feel stuck as to what to d...

Fantastic walking pram!
I did months of research, read every review possible before finally deciding to buy this. Decided to disregard other comments about the size of it and access to the basket as all the other features won me over. Who can go past the one handed collapse, the brilliant huge sunshade which really does cover your baby, the magnetic peep windows/vents etc, hand brake and the fact that it pushes so smoothly and is a gently ride for baby. I tried pushing other prams and they felt so heavy and clunky and awkward in comparison to this one.
