ALDI Bauhn 4K Ultra HD (page 4 of 6)

Bought this today from ALDI. I normally read reviews and make an informed decision. The reviews of this TV on choice.com.au said 65% good. But I give it 100% for picture and sound quality. Remember all free to air channels are run on normal HD(1080pixels) and this tv delivers that quality. For sound if you want cinema quality then you need to attach a sound system(sound bar) which I also purchased. See my review if needed under '2.1Premium Bluetooth Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer'

Within 6 months the TV started switching off by itself. Tempo did a reset but problem continued. When called back they ask to take the TV to their choice of repairer and if it’s not manufacturing fault then I have to pay a call out fee!! I am taking the TV to them and I pay the call out fee if it’s the manufacturing fault! I don’t understand how this is fair. Stay away from these TV- the switching off every 2 minutes is so annoying that you feel like smashing this TV inside an Aldi store.

Bought 65 " new, had one day, found picture quality not acceptable and returned it. Bought a JVC same size spend $100.00 more. This TV had a Qled screen = min. Quality

First tv from also was a 60 inch bauhn non smart, remote broke and wouldn't play videos via USB properly, couldn't adjust aspect ratio.

This time got the 70 inch smart webos tv March 2021 model.

8 dead pixels.. 1 blue 1 green 1 red and 5 black. Looked like trash. Got a refund on both. I'm proper scared to buy a new tv now due to these experiences.

Tempo org is a joke wont help when problem with tv lasted a month rubbish

We purchased this product 14 months ago.it was going ok then the screen developed coloured lines so you couldn't see picture couldn't fix it won't buy a baun product again.

Built in watermark I would’ve never of bought it sound is bad been coned again this was not displayed on the box that it had a water mark and could cost to remove

Minimum use only afew hours a month and backlights went off after 6 months.
Tried calling them during covid but no response, you better off with a bigger brand.
Would not recommend it at all.

Good for the price but not as good as some that are more exxy you know. Would maybe buy this not for main but for second room to watch the movies.

We were concerned that given the many poor reviews, this would be a dog of a product.
And Choice does not rate it highly.
It was to be a back up unit to a much more expensive Sony.
In summary, it's pretty good, especially at the price.
The picture quality is fine (HD mode).
The sound quality, much maligned, is also acceptable. Not as full as the Sony and a bit light in the bass. But, OK.
The remote is also fine. Cannot duplicate some of the comments made by others.
As for warranty, everybody should be aware that under Australia consumer laws, all products must be fit for purpose. Even out of the manufacturers "warranty".

The TV guide is almost unreadable and lacks basic functionality ie pre-selection of programs.
The Freeview menu time is out by about 12 hours.
The remote control is slow and sometimes takes several presses to activate the required function.

Tv looks nice and doesn’t take up much room plus it has a good range of ports.
I would say to get it but The sound quality isn’t very good and would recommend a sound bar or speakers

Brought one and had to get it replaced coz it had a red line through it now just first time useing it got half way though a movie and it’s blacked out no power to the tv at all no light on the unit nothing not happy at all

Happy with the easy set up but really disappointed with the sound quality. The picture is good for us and thinking of buying a surround sound. Would love any feedback from other users

Sound is really poor, very disappointed. Trying to find some idea's on the net for the "User" sound, equalizer (120, 500, 105, 5 & 10) they are all preset to 50, hopefully this might help !

Brought 2nd Jan 2021 Got 55" Bauhn Aldi .Easy quick set-up. Menu good remote good. SCREEN Quality very poor and blurry 4k $429 returned to store brought from Aldi Perth city store

I purchased the TV for $600 at ALDI. The setup was quick and easy and the new remotes are a major improvement to the old ones unfortunately two dead pixels.

Do NOT buy this TV. Set it up, missing half the screen..Lines/blacked out..could not rectify with a qualified TV technician, settings or customer support. Rubbish TV..an absolute scam..love Aldi, but DO NOT buy their TV’s..they need to pay you for the effort!!!!

Had a repair tech out twice to fix couldn't get it working escalated to a refund you need to box the tv for pick up and you get a refund once they confirm pick up,, so had the tv working for 4 months not working for 3 months. Tech did say this was common problem with this tv .. My advice buy TV's from a reputable reseller NOT supermarket Aldi should stay in their lane.

We bought it on 24th sept from our local Aldi store. TV looks beautiful but not able to use free-air channels. Bought high gain antenna from Kmart but not able to get any channels (we are living Eastlakes, near CBD). Called customer support, suggested to reset the TV, done but still the same issue. I got 2 options, return and refund or repair. Finally solved.

White dot in screen first week then wouldn't turn on few weeks later. Customer service very rude laughing and my complaints and said they wouldn't replace t.v.
Stay away from Bauhn products they don't care about there customers.

The subtitles keep popping up every time I change the channel, I keep having to turn them off every single time, how do I fix this so the subtitles permanently stay off?!

Initially I was sceptical that a TV so cheap could be so good. Then once hooked up to the NBN the quality of the images is amazing. It depends what channels you are watching but overall wow what a great buy.

My new TV has major colour loss when viewed from an angle. The greater the angle the greater the colour loss. Is this normal? I would have expected much better from this latest QLED screen.

Switches itself off for no reason, can be soon after it was turned on or hours later. Really annoying. Often freezes or won’t respond to remote (with new batteries) Will never buy an Aldi TV again

We bought this as an ISO gift for the kids and they were pretty much glued to it and the Xbox the whole time. Great value purchase. Had an alarm that turned it on every day at the same time but we fixed that easily.

Awesome tv! Easy to set up, easy to use, love that there’s 2 remotes, great quality for price. Can’t go wrong, highly recommend getting one. We will definitely buy another one.

I bought a TV of this model and I'm really enjoying what I'm seeing. The experience with this TV has been very pleasant, the image quality is incredible. You have several options to configure the fullHD or 4K image. I recommend buying a TV like this. I'm in love!

Great picture quality for the money no back light bleed or ghosting nice bright picture good quality panel no dead pixels fairly decent response times the only downside is a little bit of ghosting in games (no games mode) and 4k 60hz is fairly slow for video games but apart from that the picture quality is very good considering the price
If you just want a Dumb TV to hook to your pconsole monitor then go for it

Just bought this new TV and initially thought from Aldi it wouldn’t be the best but it has been Nothing bf short of amazing. Especially with a young family with the tv continuously on, this tv hasn’t failed us yet

If you are expecting a Smart TV, this is not it. There is no LAN connectivity, so you will not be able to plug in a chrome cast or watch any shows from your apps. Buyer beware, but otherwise, it is a 4K 65" screen for free to air or your media plugged in.
