What size belt do i get for my self propelled
Hi there,
We thank you for your interest in our products.
Unfortunately due to the age of this mower, we are not able to advise which belt fits.
None of our documentation advises of the belt number and it's not in any of our images.
If you still have the original belt, there should be an identifier number on the outside of it.
Please email us at [email protected] with your concern and we will be more than happy to assist you.
So we can ensure we provide you with the correct information.
Warm regards,
Edisons Support Team
Can you pull it backwards after mowing under a tree
Hi Rex,
I would firstly like to thank you for taking the time to write a review.
We do try to make our customers as happy as possible and strive for 5 stars with all of our customers.
Yes, to have the mower move backwards, you simply release the self propel handle (to disengage the drive motor) and you can, like any other mower, pull the mower backwards with ease.
If you have any additional questions please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] or call and 02 8667 7842 (9am - 3pm) Mon - Fri.
.
Warm regards,

Purchased Baumr 840SX Self Propelled mower new online 6 months ago, done very little work, now the self propelled mechanism does not work, after reading all the above seems i have also purchased a lemon, was working well up till then, Cant find a workshop manual for it, any ideas? cant afford to throw this away.
If it still starts you'll have to push it. No one will look at repairing it as they can't get parts. Its a boat anchor!
Most of these have a split pin that breaks occasionally. I have replaced several times. it is in a little box under the deck? about 4 screws? Sorry about the details. Late at night after a few wines and I cant be bother going and looking! ;-)
Liz can you give a little more detail on where the split pin is
The speed or the self propelled is to fast can I slow it down
I have same problem with my Baum-ag 840sx. It's hard work holding it back .. as much work as pushing it in manual!
Still, it cuts wonderfully.
And I read this was one of the slower self-propelled!
Mine is too slow! Try throttling back on the revs. They are directly linked.
where can i get recoil pullstarter
Good luck getting any parts for em. I have tried to get a valve guide plate. From edison.com.au which seems to be the Aus distributor of em. And it's seems to be easier to throw it in the bin and buy a better brand.
Good luck with the part search. Maybe try a local mower shop see if they can match a brand named product part to it
the spring that operates the self propel part has fallen off. We took it to 2 different mower repairers, they said they don’t repair that brand of mower. We don’t know exactly where abouts on the mower the spring belongs and we have had no luck trying to google the correct placement
There is a hole on the self propel part which one end of the spring fits into. The other end of the spring fits over a steel casing so you will need long nosed pliers and just find the nearest part of the casing
I have a tornado 760 wont run unless i spray directly into carby. Have replaced carby, still wont run?? Help...

CRAP MACHINE !!!
Just purchased Baumr self propelled mower. What a nightmare. Hard to start in start position & when it did blew out all this smoke. When placed in self propelled position took off like a racehorse & motor revs very loud & fibrated. Restarted but would only start in run position then only idles very slow & when you squeeze dead man lever revs & take off for l minute then slows down again. Will not cut grass. Blades working ok. Any hints what is wrong?
Hi my mum is looking at buying the key start Baumr AG mower, has anyone had any issues with them Positives, negatives reviews on them..
Sorry sweetie. But my Baumr is a hand start.
I’m issues with key start I got a 750sxi key start self propelled
Issues are replacement blades are a nightmare to get
The self propelled handle falls out
But overall it’s a damn good mower
The self propelled died within a few mouths not enough ajustment wish i had done more research . it still starts cuts good but would be a lot better with the self propelled working
Can anyone give me a hint about attaching the grass catcher?
Mine doesn't seem to fit - and certainly not easily.
I have to push the guard way back and then can only hook in one side of the catcher.
Thanks
I just bought the mower
Is there any trick in starting it out of the box ?
Having problems starting it first time
Yes disconnect the "dead man" cable and Spring. Then move that disconnected lever (at the side of the motor) as far toward the rear of the mower, you'll hear the switch click. After several pulls of the starter cord It may now run. It is a rediculous design where you can't pull the starter while holding the deadman.
My mower is not working i used it once and I turned it off and it won’t turn back on I tried to start the engine with the key but it won’t start, anyone know why this happened
