Good but not good

Runs great, easy to start but the bar bent the 2nd time we used it, very disappointing. As a single mum that lives where it snows i was hoping for something more reliable

Not worth it, even for a cheap chainsaw

published

I’m being factual.
This thing is complete rubbish. I expected poor build quality because of the price. But this thing is unusable. Fuel leaks everywhere. Oil poors out the cap. Safety doesn’t work properly. It’s now sitting in a box ready for the tip. Buy cheap, but not this brand.

Purchased in January 2021 for A$200.00.

Fire Hazard

published

The way the exhaust comes out in front of the saw it puts hot gas straight on to the wood and bark,i had it caught fire on several occasions, which can be dangerous in dry grass, around the cutting area.

Purchased in September 2021.

Good mill saw

published

We are a Husky house when it comes to our chainsaws, but needed a big unit to mill some big logs on the property. This a great saw for an Alaskan Mill or similar. Does the job and didn't cost much. The only downside is the initial setup and tweaking that is required to get it running along with the regular maintenance. Buy it for what it is and not instead of a name brand. There is a big difference.

The only thing I can think of is the bar oil pump is not working this was a problem on my second sx82 but cost less than $10 to get a replacement pump and fit.

Is it actually 92cc as it seems to be a clone of a husky 72cc model ??

I think you have to take their word for it. It does a good job for what it is, a cheap Chinese clone of a known brand.

Saw is new but chain will not self oil. Any suggestions please

If it is less than 12 months old send it back for an in warranty repair or refund.
All chain saws sold new in Australia must come with warranty unless bought from a genuine auction.
Under the saw should be an oil adjuster screw and it should have arrows & +/- on it.
There is a filter in the oil tank that can clog.
Remove the chain & bar then start the saw
You should see oil coming out the slot in the top of the bar mounting when the saw is running.
If you have a compressor then block off the oil filler with your fingers then slip an air duster into the oil tank and apply some pressure, you should see oil emerging from the lube point on the bar mounting .
The rubber pick up tubes are prone to going soft and collapsing cutting off the oil supply .
The pump itself is also prone to failure but it is fairly simple job to replace it .
Tedious cause everything has to come off to get at it but no special tools required

the file size should be 3/8 the same as the chain size.
