Hi so I was wondering if I could wear makeup over the benzac moisturiser?

Absolutely. Just make sure you use apply it sparingly and let it dry completely before applying makeup.
My face was dry for about a week, so make sure you follow the instructions provided an beware you may peel initially (which will obviously impact the look of your foundation); it will pass.

Can this stuff be used to remove cysts? I have a cyst on my body. Last time I got a cyst removed it cost me $700 and wasn't worth it.

Hi yes it has removed mine,
I continue to use the acne control kit 3 pack on my face with occasional pop ups . Only using the 2.5% .

Ive been trying the benzac ac wash 5% for my back acne but have to admit only use it twice a week so minimal results there, it does say to use it once to twice a day which Im sure would give you much better results.
Hope that helps :)

I've started using Benzac AC 5% recently. I put a very small amount on and then tea-tree moisturiser afterwards, and it burns like hell all night. My skin is really dry and it's peeling around my eyes. I put it on yesterday night and my face is still sore all day. What do I do?

I don't have an active skincare routine. I kind of just wash my face then put on this gel. My acne has been getting worse as of late and just picked this product up in hopes of it getting better. How long do I have to wait minimum to have my acne clear up? I've only been using this product for ~2 days and there have been 0 results as of lately. Is there anything I have to change up, do I continue?

I would stop using. All them productsdid where cause redness and pain. Try something with less chemicals. Be kind to your skin.

For about 6-8 months now i've been using the 5% benzac acne treatment gel and it was working wonders for me. So I decided to go out and buy 5% in the other products (moisturiser and face clenser) but this morning when I put the moisturiser on my face began to sting, it stopped stinging after about 30 seconds I went through a range of possibilities in my head as to why this is occurring, am I allergic?, is this normal? and could it be the result of the garnier micellar water I put on before the moisturiser? Or do I need a lower strength moisturiser (that wouldn't make sense because I have 5% in all the other products).

This is a completely normal reaction. As you progress into the course, a few months, the stinging will subside. Your skin is adapting to a foreign substance, so don’t worry too much. However, if it is really bad - I suggest you lower the dosage or see a doctor.

Hi all, I recently used some Benzac AC Moisturiser on my rashes and acne; however, when I put it on my top lid of my right eye, it began to burn for some odd reason. I rarely use Benzac but recently, a mix of hot Australian sun and itchiness resulted in rashes so I have tried to take action on it but the Moisturiser hurt. Unlike the other red rashes I have on my face, this one strangely hurt to a degree but the pain disappeared after 5 minutes, is this normal?

Sounds like a reaction and I wouldn’t continue using. It’s a really harsh product and so many other products that are healthier for you.

SixteenYO

You should keep this product away from the eye area! It says it on the box, please be careful.

I usually put it on my neck as well and my skin around the neck is dry and darker it looks like it wants to peel is that normal or i should stop using it around my neck?

If it’s the affected area, you should apply the cream once daily to avoid excessive peeling. Avoid areas that are not affected as it will react.

I would stop using, it’s a crap product and so many better healthier options out there. Drying your skin out ain’t gonna fix acne.

@SixteenYO i'll just apply it on my face cause it's doing wonders there, thanx for the response
@Jord it actually works

This wont answer your question sorry but I just bought it and got the same thing except no redness probably becuase i washed everything off (got some in my eye) and started again. I'm going to wait an hour before putting the moisuriser on now (one review suggested waiting 15 min but i wanna do an hour to be safe) and see if it still burns

SixteenYO
SixteenYO

That is a completely normal reaction, this happens during the first couple of weeks. Let your skin adapt to the regime, if it is too irritated, reduce your application or see a doctor.

its been a week now since ive started my benzac acne treatment and my skin is becoming darker, is this going to be a permanent thing or is it only temporary, cause the packaging says its a skin lightening product, so im confused. ive been using the cleanser, 5% gel and the moisturiser.

1 answer
SixteenYO
SixteenYO

This is a natural reaction from the skin. There is a side effect of patches on the affected areas, make sure to moisturise excessively to reduce this effect.

I have used this for a year and the patches soon subside.

Would it be okay to use the Benzac AC spf moisturiser at night in conjunction with the foaming wash and 2.5% treatment ?

1 answer
SixteenYO
SixteenYO

Yes. I wash my face with the cleanser, apply the gel. Leave for an hour. Wash off then apply moisturiser. It can be a hassle, so I usually leave the gel overnight, wash and moisturise in the morning.

i did the same thing and i tried everything because my face just became really flaky.I used a good amount of lucas papaw ointment all over my face of a night keeping it on my face until i woke up and took it all off. i did that for 3 days and my face was almost back to normal and skin looked really improved.

SixteenYO

Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise! It’s so important, especially with such an aggressive drying substance on your face.
