In Possum areas with mosquitos carrying toxic infections you have to have the Betadine or you are a hospital patient. Every night after an all over wash, even If we only have a litre of water for washing; the Betadine is applied to every possible scratch, cut or mosquito bite. This is a time to find any ticks as well. This simple routine means we come home without needing to visit the nearest doctor or being too sick to walk out of a wilderness area. As I am very careful what I have to carry, when Grandma is not looking I take out cotton buds on a stick out of the First Aid box. The Betadine fine outlet can at first be thought of as a design fault but it allows very small quantities to come out only at any time for the small wounds. Grandma does get angry and threaten not to go bush with an unfit old man ever again that counts every gram; but on the next trip she says she cannot let me go anywhere by myself as my mother accepted an older women marrying her son when she was promised that I would be looked after. Terrible spray
The spray does not spray onto where it is pointing to. Today, it did not even stop, making a big mess. The antiseptic itself is ok but the spray is a bad idea. And it is more expensive.

Brilliant antiseptic
Hello,
I was just reading about Mr Peter Molloy in the news regarding the use of Betadine as a throat gargle, and reminded myself of the time some years ago when I had a small insect bite, quite possibly a small spider.
I noticed the bite area which started off as a a size of a pin head was starting to increase in size and staying as an infected area when I decided I had better do something about it.
