I had a large three cornered tear on my (elderly) shin which I covered with waterproof dressings for three weeks. It really wasn't healing and I was beginning to worry I'd need a skin graft. In desperation I bought Solugel. It began to heal immediately, healed well, and I haven't looked back. Solugel is going to stay in my medicine cabinet.

I tore the webbing between two fingers requiring stitches. A week later it wasn't healing right, the edges of the wound had separated and the scar tissue had formed a lump about the size of a pea at the apex of the wound. Four days after I applied the gel the lump was gone and the edges of the wound joined together so neatly that you can barely see the scar.

Several tubes of Solugel were given to me by the radiation oncology unit at the cancer clinic after my skin was badly burnt during radiation therapy. It really saved me. It is a clear gel which you smear liberally over the affected area and the cover with a non stick gauze. It kept my skin moist and felt so soothing, I could finally sleep comfortably in bed. If you keep it in the refrigerator it is even more cooling on the hot burnt skin. I have also used it for a post operative wound on my hand which wasn't healing properly. After a couple of applications the wound had closed up and I had lovely new skin growing over the top. This is a must for any first aid kit in the home, car, boat, caravan ... whatever!
