New owners really have changed this place
I was hesitant about this place, but reading the more current reviews from 2022 onwards on google review and Facebook (new owners), I couldn't be more pleased to have found a local bike shop that is friendly and helpful. The new team is very knowledgeable and offers value for money. I had a routine bike service and was pleasantly surprised when it was cheaper than my old bike shop in the city. The workshop are run by Pro-grade mechanics who work on bikes for Australian race teams. These guys do not recommend a number of changes that are not necessary and seems to be thinking of what is best for the customer now and long term. Great Service. Will be my regular shop! Highly recommend.

Disappointing to say the least
Booked my Pinarello in for a full service and requested extra attention to seat being loose. I tried to be accomodating with the time for return to me, mind you I took in on the Monday and was returned 4 days later...
Once picked up and taken home discovered bike seat loose still. Contacted mechanic who said he had changed the bolts on seat but obviously did tighten properly which I then did. Decided to take bike out for a ride and found all gear ratios un indexed ( this was meant to be in the service) again with a little help from GCN, I sort...Read more

Bike fit
Purchased a new expensive pinarello F8 Dura Ace Di2 bike and indicated that i needed to take bike away after purchase for a correct bike fit. Female staffer said she could easily do that so i believed she was the expert so i let her. Took bike away 2 rides later carbon frame had large crack thru it. They eventually obtained a new frame. When i picked that up i asked if i needed to be fitted to that new frame but was told no that all should be good. next day i went on Great Vic Bike Ride. 2 days in left knee sore. After 5 days Hamstrings sore. ...Read more
Up shot was that was 4 dec 2016 i returned. Since that i have had a correct medical bike fit which too 3 hrs. Previous one 30mins. Cleats were way out, seat way out. etc. Now in May 2017 i have torn tendons in shoulders as a result of over stretching on bike, hamstring problems and the fit did not allow me to ride with gluts or Quads. My ITB in knee shot. Had Xrays, MRIs, Injections, Massages, seen Physio's, chiro practors, Orthapedic surgeon etc. Hard to sleep. My message to you all. MAKE SURE YOU GET PROPERLY FITTED TO YOUR BIKE AND DON'T JUST ACCEPT THE RETAILER RAMBLE. I so love riding and i cannot ride due to incompetance.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Somewhat rude and unknowledgable staff, bad prices
Staff at the Docklands store were quite rude and a bit arrogant. Had some ridiculous recommendations (e.g. "don't buy SRAM, they'll fall apart in days") and tried to sell me a way too small 51cm bike (I'm 180cm). I wanted to buy a fizik cyrano r3 handlebar, but they were selling it for just over $90 more than the cheapest place that offered it. I understand you have to make a profit, but a markup like that is beyond ludicrous. They had the Cannondale CAAD8 for a very reasonable price, though (which was a shame because I wasn't looking for a new bike). Probably the only good thing about the store
Unwilling to give 1 star only because staff were not actively trying to do a bad job.

Commendable service!
Was cycling back from Keillor East when my front tyre burst. Still had around 30km to go and in my stupidity forgot to equip myself with a puncture repair kit. In a similar manner, I didn't have my wallet on me. Jumped on google, found bike-force docklands only 200 metres away. I went inside, explained I had punctured tyre and no money and amazingly the staff got me a second hand tube! I put it in, pumped it up and rode home! Was an absolute life-saver!

Bike Force Morley
Took my daughters bike in and asked them to fix it up an get it back on the road. They gave me a new tube and a replacement brake cable $45. Problem was the brakes were scraping the rim and front wheel wouldn't rotate I complained and they said we were told only to put in a new tube and replace the brake cable. Not by me they weren't ! Another $45 later and the bloody wheel goes around. It's Avanti cycles in Morley for my Christmas purchase and bike stuff from now on. Do it properly first time pretty simple I would have thought.

Lovely staff and service
Just purchased new mountain bike from Bikeforce Docklands, all the staff including Zac and Melanie and the other guy I'm not sure of his name, South American I think, we're very friendly, helpful and efficient.
Message to the store owner, you have great staff, hold onto them.
Will recommend and purchase my partner a bike at Bikeforce Docklands soon.

Begrudging service - just lost a potential customer
I only commute to and from work and ride an old bike which needed a puncture repaired. This shop was closest to me and as I didn't have the tools (or the know-how) I left it with them to fix it. Unfortunately I rode to work the next day and discovered I had no back brake.
I took it back in, they appeared helpful but I also mentioned the bike wasn't changing gears very well now. They looked at it then just gave me the bike back without bothering to speak to me. I rode away and discovered it was even worse. Went back. They grudgingly looked at ...Read more

First impressions - Good so Far
I bought 2 bikes from here a fortnight ago. They were not expensive but just what we needed for commuting. The service was good - and the price was competitive - I am not sure what more I could have asked for. This morning whilst riding my wife's bike suffered a gear issue (probably just a wearing in type adjustment) and the guys fixed it in about 3 minutes and seems to be going well. I do monitor review sites and I always note poor service and cutting reviews when they are warranted. I think to be fair you must also note good service and so far I could only praise the efforts in store.

Terrible service!!! - Don't service your bike there!!!
I went to Bike Force Dockland for service my bicycle, when I was there with my bike and the girl never give me a good service. When I asked something she always answer impolite. I did service and cut my headtube, I told the girl that I want my spacers back. After I back to collect my bike, suddenly the girl showed without my speaker back, she told me that if I want my spacers back, I need to pay for the other headtube brand that she replace on my bike. Actually I don't really care with my spacers but the way she explain to me was very rude and it does not in accordance with the agreement.
Bot a good place for service your expensive bike at Bike Force Dockland.

Basso Diamate - Nice Frame average service
Purchased a Basso Diamante from Bikeforce Docklands. Rang and said I would come in to pick up the frame. When I turned up it was missing cable routing parts, had to leave and come back. Then was told that the frame only comes with 2 headtube spacers, which on this frame are bike specific. I was given no documentation that you usually receive with a brand new frame. Come on, yes I got a good price, but how much would one extra spacer cost? Nice to deal with before you hand over your money, and then turn as cold as ice. Hope I don't have any warranty issues.

Colnago C60 - Awesome Bike - Service left wanting
Purchased a Colnago C60 with Campagnolo Super Record and Shamal Mille wheels from Docklands June 2015.
On my first ride, gear changes were terrible, skipping gears, grinding noises.
Returned bike to Docklands rear dérailleur changed as it was bent - not dropped.
Next ride, same problems with gears.
Returned Bike to Docklands, drop out was faulty, I was told.
Drop out changed, rear dérailleur changed again as it appeared bent, but in actual fact was not adjusted correctly.
Next ride, gears not changing properly, chain grinding on large chain ring.
Returned bike to Docklands
Campagnolo technicians assessed bike, and made adjustment and was told it is perfect.
Next ride, chain grinding on front dérailleur, gears grinding still.

A really poor bike shop
Quite simply Bike Force as a bike shop do not offer the best standard of services to customers. I went in there a while ago as a newbie to buy a road bike and met the proprietor. Quite simply, he was totally unhelpful and essentially disinterested in what I wanted. I rang head office to complain but lo and behold it seems that his daddy owns the actual business - so he simply doesn't care what his customers may think. When I have spoken to others about this bike shop - they have advised to stay well away as it is a franchised business only wanting to make a quick buck with poor after service. I am one of the lucky ones.

Incredibly Bad Customer Service
I went there today and had the same experience as KissMIss. There were about 5 staff there, one of whom looked right at me and when I smiled at him, just turned away. No customer service whatsoever, and I felt incredibly intimidated just being there. I certainly won't be going back there.
Bad customer service, incredibly expensive products

Bike Force Docklands - Worst Customer Service Ever!
the arrogance and rudeness from the staff (or proprietor?) of this store has been nothing short of astounding. Two male staff could not bring themselves to leave the laptop they were busying themselves with, or come to our assistance. We had to come up to see them and one of the assistants smirked when hearing my request and left, the other was so arrogant and flatly refused to even discuss our needs upon having assessed our budget range.
Clearly not interested in customer service but sales only.
non existent customer service
