    Waste of money and vegetables

    published

The juicer struggles juicing cucumbers and wheatgrass, the pulp stuck inside and needs to be removed manually. Does not juice the vegetables well and the pulp comes out wet.
It is juicing selery quite good, but does not extract the most of the potential of the vegy.
I would have spent few more $ and get better machine.

    Love my Biochef Axis juicer

    published

The juice it makes is amazing, machine not too loud. The pulp is almost dry which I love as most of the juice squeezed out of it. My only criticism is any is the little metal filter can clog a little and is a bit harder than the rest of the machine to clean. Having said that cleaning is really easy for the rest of the parts. I love love love my juicer, use it 3 times a week on average and make a lovely green juice (cucumber, sos lettuce, green apple, celery and a touch of lime and ginger.

    Absolutely fantastic machine

    published

Since buying this machine, I have used it almost every day. Have made juices and pastas. All have turned out beautifully. Really enjoy experimenting with it. Will use the pulp for compost or to bulk up my soups or an ingredient in making dog biscuits. Machine is very sturdy, well built and quiet to use. It's easy to clean, all the pieces come apart very quickly and are designed in such a way that rinsing and cleaning is a breeze. Really very happy with it. The people from Vitality 4 life where I purchased it have been lovely to deal with.

    Everyone should have one

Awesome machine. Easy to clean, leftovers are perfect for compost and makes great juice. I've found cutting harder veg into smaller pieces helps too. I use it almost every day without any issues. I have made some but butters too which are very easy and delicious. Highly rated, couldn't live without one now.

    Overall an ok juicer

    published

This juicer is good for hard items and leafy things such as carrots, herbs, spinach etc. Pieces needs to be cut small or they will clog.
It is also very good for frozen items to make banana nicecream or to put through frozen cherries and some lemon juice for a delicious frozen treat.
However, it is absolutely useless for soft items such as watermelon, citrus fruit, raspberries as it clogs instantly and is overflowing. It also struggles with pineapple.
Super easy to clean and not very noisy. Depending on what you want to juice it can be good or bad, overall an ok to good juicer.

Hi, I’m wanting to purchase a cold pressed juicer to make summer fruit juices with watermelon, berries, pineapple etc. will this juicer extract sufficient juice from these fruits or is it only suitable for harder fruits/vegetables?

I have never tried berries in mine, only do the harder veggie juices.

We haven't really used summer fruits, only the hard fruits and veggies. I did try orange and pineapple once and found that the juice and pulp builds up in the main chamber and needed something harder like apple or carrot or celery to help push it through. If you are combining those, then it's OK otherwise might be an issue if using just soft things. Just my experience.

Hi Susieq, I would suggest the vertical cold pressed juicers like the BioChef Quantum, these are better for softer fruits, all-though they are also a great all rounder cold pressed juicer for combining soft and hard fruit and veg. The horizontal juicers like your BioChef Axis, Gemini Twin and Oscars are beut for greens and beets and celery etc. If you would like to call us on the toll free number we are happy to help with any questions you have regarding the best juicer for you. Warmest Regards V4L

Hi I am juicing celery every day and have had some really bad experiences with the most recommended juicers... They get clogged up as the pulp finds it difficult to get through the opening for it is too small. I have see a video of BioChef Axis Compact Cold Press Juicer where celery was juiced and it looks like a perfect celery juicing option. Would you say this is the case? Cheers :)

I would, yes. My biochef is great for celery. I juice that a lot and haven't had any issues with celery at all. I usually set it at No. 3 and all good.

Hi Sandra, I can highly recommend the horizontal cold pressed juicers such as the BioChef. They are built, in my opinion for your fibrous, leafy green and tough veggies. Cold press juicing is so different from normal centrifugal juicing it takes time to appreciate having to cut up your produce and to feed it gently into the juicer rather than forcing it down. Celery is a difficult one because of the long fibres so always good to cut no longer than the chute. Warmest Regards Bec Vitality4life

Hi, how long should it take to get 1 litre of juice? Currently it is taking me over half an hour to make 1 litre. Is this right? It seems like such a long time to make a bit of juice and is putting me off juicing (don't have that time to sit and wait for juice)

There's no way my machine can do 6 minutes! That would be fantastic. I tried again and I timed it this time. So I juiced celery, kale and apples which took me 23 minutes to do one litre.

    hello Paul,

thats recipe is going to take longer .....we will send the tips and as u get used to the axis the juice time will come down . You might consider swapping for the BioChef Quantum WAJ as this machine would be quicker for you ...may 10 min to 12 min . A lite of that great juice your making is worth a little time ...be happy to be juicing .
