Versatile product; excellent backup service.
This machine is an absolute dream for our family of 5 kids (7yrs and under). We use it to clean the dining and kitchen areas after every meal as well as a daily spruce up the living and rumpus rooms, and for the thorough weekly house clean. It handles spilt juice and milk as well as muddy footprints and sand etc with ease. The cleaning formula you are supposed to use with it does an excellent job too; always makes the tiles look glossy. After almost a year of heavy use our first Bissell refused to start one day, so we shipped it off to head of...
Read morefice and they sent us a completely new one! Can't complain about that. I definitely recommend this device and company. Edit July 2022: so our unit broke again and Bissell just sent us a brand new model. You can't beat this company for customer service. Can use any cleaner
This product does not replace a regular vacuum. I use the Bissell sweeper first over my carpet before I use the CrossWave to spot clean the high traffic areas. The only problem is you Have to take it completely apart after each use (especially the filter as it will smell and get moldy). So they should have made removing the filter much easier by being able to slide the filter in and hold it in place with 1 screw, as all other parts are very easy to clean and reassemble. You also have to be very careful not to get any water around the motor.

Bissell Crosswave
I have had my Bissell Crosswave since November 2016 and love it.
I have really big shiny white tiles that it cleans really well.
On first use I wasn't thrilled and thought I had purchased the wrong thing for me and thought I may need to purchase a steam mop which I had been previously been using howevwr after my third go I was hooked.
On particularly messy weeks i still use my vacuum first however lighter weeks u let the Crosswave do it all.
Things to note.
1.Always clean your filter after each use.

Great Multi-Surface Vacuum And Mop Combination
I love my Bissell Cross-Wave. It is the best thing I have used to clean my high gloss floor tiles and it cleans well and leaves a minimum of streaking. I have indoor pets and the Crosswave vacuums and mops up those annoying dog and cat hairs in a flash! It's quite easy to manoeuvre and use, although a bit loud, and it is a bit fiddly to clean. I would give it 5 stars if it had a couple of improvements - 1. The power cord is a pain, making it retractable or even better, cordless, would make it much easier to operate, 2. It could have better edge cleaning. Overall though I love my machine, best thing I have bought for my floors.

great but cant get the multi surface cleaner anywhere in the shops since purchasing. So much more e
Happy with the cleaner overall but still need the product to clean with. I find the cleaner works great on my wooden floors but on tiles that are not flat the machine tends to leave the floor quite wet. Overall, it is the best floor cleaner I have ever purchased.
Noisy
Very noisy doesn't clean to edges still have to use mop. Have dogs with a lot of hair its easier to sweep then use normal mop. Takes a lot to clean the hair out of machine. More scrubbing brissells for tiled areas have to go over twice to get clean. Cannot use in on tiled stairs.
Why? Why is ask myself did I wait so long.
It is honestly the best thing ever!! I have issues with my shoulder and neck. It’s so easy to use. It takes a while to do but honestly I haven’t mopped my floors in forever. The fact I can do so and vacuums is my idea of heaven.
Don’t wait
I will recommend then to anyone especially people with back and neck issues
I love bissell.

almost perfect
After a year of research to find the perfect machine for my 1006 large tiles house I bought this machine from Bissell HQ in Melbourne.
Other manufacturers make the near perfect machine,,,but at around $6000..No Way.
As I said to the salesman "Bissell are on the right track,, but it appears too small and too cheap".
He disagreed,,,I was right,,, this machine would be perfect if,,, it was 'wider',,,'bigger' and more heavily built..
However,, Its biggest problem,, is,,
It does not do the edges along skirting boards,!

Perfect little machine.
This little beauty is so easy to use, I pull it out and clean my mat every time the puppy goes home. When I see just how much hair the Crosswave has lifted from the mat It makes me wonder why I hadn't bought it sooner. Just love it! Perfect.

Really handy for a daily mop over the floors.
I’m using it on tiles. It’s quick and handy and certainly less cumbersome than using a mop and bucket. Clean up of the machine is much easier than cleaning a mop too. It’s quite easy to manoeuvre and light enough to use. Good cord length too.
It certainly does what it says it will do. Vacuums and mops. No problems picking up all the daily mess. Crumbs, play dough, general
mess kids (and some adults) leave. Can’t fault it there.
However on the con side. It doesn’t go under furniture or get right up to the edges. So floors might j...
Read moreust need that mop over once a week or so to get the edges and any areas like beside toilets or cabinets that just don’t leave enough room for it to get through. But I’m happy with it. With kids constantly on the floor this takes no time to vac and mop the daily stuff before it gets ground into the carpet. It cleans very well and the surface cleaner leaves a nice clean smell in the house.- 2 reviews

Great machine
I love this machine. I have a large tiled area in my home and although I mopped regularly I had no idea it was still nowhere near clean until I purchased the Crosswave. I also use it to clean my woollen floor rug. It hardly uses any water and is very efficient. It is easy to clean and very satisfying to see how much dirt comes off the floors. My only criticism is that it doesn't reach the edges of the floor - there is a 5cm gap it doesn't cover. Come on Bissell - where is the accompanying accessory to do this? This is as near to scrubbing on your hands and knees you can get I think.

Stopped working and cuts off our electricity after 4 weeks of purchasing
The first time we used it, we absolutely loved it. The second time, it started leaving drops of dirty water on the floor (although we have followed the manual’s instructions for cleaning etc), from the third time onwards we just have to keep going over the areas where dirty water/dirt in general keeps dripping. Four weeks later, not only did it stop working but it also switches off our entire electricity whenever we try to turn it on. We have contacted Bissell and hoping for a replacement ASAP as we really need to clean the house!!

Only lasted for ONE use, next time l used it it tripped the house circuit breakers l returned it 2
The Bissell Crosswave cleaned my polished concrete floor well, but left it quite streaky and not shiny . leaves 2cm not done around architraves & edges, very easy to maneuver and does vac & clean in one go which really does make the job alot quicker and easier, its easy to dismantle and clean, its not the quietest but no worse than most vacuum cleaners and the cleaning fluid is fairly expensive.

Brilliant machine.
Bought this machine yesterday. I have polished porcelain cream tiles through most of my downstairs area. I normally vacuum then mop with hot water and methylated spirits. The Bissel crosswave made the job so easy and the floor looks amazing. I couldn't believe how clean they look. I'm very impressed.

great appliance
I am very happy with this appliance, it makes cleaning so much easier. It's very easy to use a little loud but not too much louder than a normal vacuum cleaner. I'm using it on marble tiles and I'm very happy it's leaving the floor nice and shiny. I only wish I had found this appliance long ago, I will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Not perfect but pretty good
Lots of pros for the crosswave. It does a good job on my tiles and area rugs. Not brave enough to use it on my new timber floor though. Cons are it is noisy, but no noisier than my hoover vacuum. It is heavy. It does not get to the corners and as someone here said earlier you will still need a normal mop to get behind toilets etc. A bit fiddly to clean but not too bad. The cord does get in the way. Overall I like it but gave it 4 stars due to the cons I mentioned. Bissell just needs to make a few adjustments to make it great.
Next update. Things are not going well. The crosswave is still clogging. Bissell sent me a new filter but sadly that didn't make too much difference. They also suggested vacuuming the area rugs first ...
Read morebefore using the crosswave (to help with the clogging) but to me if they advertise that the crosswave can vac and clean area rugs at the same time, then it should do what they claim. They won't give me a refund, since I am becoming quite unhappy, so I am going to return it to harvey norman for them to send back to bissell for assessment. Stay tuned. The crosswave was returned and I received a credit from HN/bissell. I didn't purchase another crosswave.

Not as good as I thought
Bought this vac a few weeks ago and was told by the salesperson it's one of the best although when j went to use it it felt like it had no suction! It ended up working okay except with larger things and pet hair, not too noisy though which was good

Perfect and easy.
My husband bought me the crosswave as I have server joint pain in both shoulders and hips. I was unsure if I could even use it but I can quite easy, the suction is brilliant I love that it vacuums and mops at the same time and the floors drys very very quickly with no streaks. It sounds just like a normal vacuum cleaner, and the buttons are at your finger tips. I love how I can go from tile floors to laminated floors then with a push of a button my rugs, you still have to use a normal mop to get behind toilets and under beds but still worth it. We bought it home my daughter tried it and went straight down and bought 1. I recommend this product for doing 2 jobs in 1.

Good but not prefect
I got dark laminate floor at home so marks are always obvious. The down side of the machine is it's quite heavy and cannot clean the marks like footprints (which is very annoying to me ) because the brush is not scratching the floor as it's soft fabric. Good on tiles. Good thing is it's very easy to clear the dirty water and clean the brush without your own hand. And even looking clean on the floor but u will find very cloudy dirt water in the tank which mean it clean something u can't see. Good for people have baby and pets for cleaning the vomit or liquid yuck will be fabulous.

Great product
The crosswave is excellent for our small 3bdr house. Cleans the vinyl floors and the small carpeted rooms easily. It's ability to pick up large solids is great meaning less prep time and the stock detergent has a pleasant smell. My only gripe is it doesn't get right in to the corners so you can easily see the line of how good it cleans the tired old vinyl in the laundry. Other than that at $300 it was worth it!

Fantastic machine!
I bought this after studying many reviews on different models. I'm very happy with the machine. It cleans so well and removes stains which even my steam mop couldn't do.
I need to put lots of pressure when i used my regular non steam mop but for this no need of any force.
Highly recommend this if you have kids and lots of spills every day. All the sticky food goes off with this in one use.

Great little machine and multiple uses.
I have had this for 2 months and a fabulous machine for the home. Bissell produce excellent quality and this is strong, efficient and compact. Use most days around the house and no concerns. Would recommend purchasing this vacuum.
Normal dry and wet vacuuming - tiles, carpets and mats etc. Even did the mattress!
Even cleaned filthy front door mat with ease.

Love it!
Tested vacum in store and the suction is alot better than expected. So suprised.
Not too heavy and is easy to manouvre on all surfaces. Noisy like a vacum, but being a vacum I wasn't expecting quiet.
Cleaned hallways, bathroom, kitchen and living areas on one large tank of water/solution.
Only downside is it doesn't quite get into edges and corners.
Very happy.
An excellent timesaving machine
I have a large house with polished timber floors, tiled wet areas, area rugs and a combustion heater. 2 dogs, 3 cats, birds in cages and 2 people with long hair. I started out vacuuming before I used this machine, but really there is no need (apart from around combustion heater, dustpan and brush to pick up larger pieces). Once you get to know it well it picks up everything and leaves the floors almost dry. I also spruce up the carpets in doorways on my way past and have cleaned the coffee table with it...lol. It is easy to fill, empty and clean. No noisier than a vacuum. Easy to manouver. I use the multi purpose cleaner and brush head for everything.

Its great!
I love this ! It's so great the task of vacuuming the whole house is a big task so by the tine i finish im too tired to mop. Now its all in one. My floors are so clean and the suctions is great! The only issue is sometimes if something is really stick on the floor it wont get it off bit of you clean regularly like i am now you wont have anything really stuck on. And sometimes it leaves lines on the tiles but you just go back over it and they disappear. I would definitely recommend it though!

An update on this machine. Even though I clean the filter and all removable compartments after each use, it is getting clogged. And it's not easy to unclog it! I had to use tweezers etc to remove all ...
Read morethe bits of hair and dirt from the machine. This is disappointing.
