Really bad

published

I have to continually press the trigger for steam but no longer than 15-20 second bursts and then finding that the floor is left streaky and looking worse than before I started! This is going back to the shop. I'll go back to a mop and bucket thanks. Very disappointed.

Rocks in your head

This is the worst steam mop I have ever used.
You have to press the steam trigger otherwise in 10-15 seconds you are moving cold water over your tiles.
We do not like the monster but are about to go back to it as it has constant steam.

So dissappointed

I found so many things wrong with the Bissell I bought. It's very heavy to push, only moves when the steam trigger is being pushed. It doesn't fit under the furniture so have to use a normal mop to clean. The pads only use about 70% of the surface, mainly the outside edge, because the mop doesn't have a totally flat surface. It's not a real steam mop as the machine only has one steam outlet and this only works when the trigger is used, so really you're mopping with just a damp pad.I've had 2 Kenwood 2000 mops over 14 years and they were wonderful. They actually steamed the whole time with no trigger action needed.

Simple and effective

Great little steam mop. Easy to fill up - does four rooms and a hallway before it needs refilling. The triangle head moves on different trajectories so it makes it easy to get into corners and along skirting boards. Heats up really quickly and the floor dried quickly afterwards. Very impressed.

Very disappointing!

This was the first steam mop that I've purchased and I was very disapointed. It leaves the floors very wet which in turn leaves terrible streak marks all over the floor. I tired it again using hardly any steam and it still left streak marks and what seems to be a dirty water residue. When u wiped your finger on the tiles it would leave marks on the tiles and dirt on your hand. Both times I used it I had to go over the floors again with my mop and bucket. I was worried all steam mops might be like this. I was lucky enough to get a refund and swap it for another. I got the monster and it is fantastic! Nothing like the bissell.

I was in love with my steam mop until last week. No steam & only a knocking noise. The manufacturer recommends that you change out the filter every six months. Which I have done. It's going to be an expensive love affair.

What a dreadful product

This would be the most useless appliance ever made. The mop has never performed properly. Hardly ever steams, you have to depress the trigger the entire time, and still nothing happens, it is heavy and you end up with RSI by the time you're done. Gave away my much cheaper H2O Steam mop thinking it was too flimsy, but that did a 100% better job. Could kick myself. Time to purchase another mop, never again a Bissell product though!

Terrible

Really disappointed, spent $350 on the wiz bang 'Lift -off' Bissell, guy went through all the features, sounded wonderful....... and I am taking it back today to get the 'Monster' I had last time!

Doesn't get hot enough, cant see any steam coming out, left my tiles wet, therefore the water marks (steaks) dried on the tiles, tiles were left wet for ages.
My monster was HOT, steam pouring out, dried insensately!!

Rubbish appliance

I agree with all points of the negative reviews. I bought a Bissell steam mop from Godfreys, Mittagong. Product never performed...dripped left floor wet and produced very little steam...no wonder product discontinued. Got a replacement....same storey...Mop now somewhere in back of garage...useless. Adds on TV for new VacSteamMop seem amazing but I wonder??? Very very disappointed to the point not game to try another product along this line...particularly Bissell.

Great value

Great mop with a low price point.

After a bad experience with a Vax mop I was reluctant to purchase another. But the staff at the store recommended I try this one over the other brands and I'm certainly not disappointed! It heats up almost instantly, and picks up dirt so much quicker than my old mop did. The mop pads are also seem to be so much higher quality than the rubbish my old one had. I have two little dogs in my house, and you wouldn't think so after I've been at the floors with this!
Simple to use, instantly heats up.

What a disappointment

I read many positive reviews for this product (most telling me how it didn't leave streaks and marks) that I decided to buy one for my new home. Rubbish - after using the steam mop on my tile floor it is so badly watermarked I have to remop with a enjo mop. I should've stuck to that in the first place. Also, it's quite heavy and ungainly to use.
nothing
It just does not do the job it is supposed to do.

I guess even the distilled water in Canada is so full of minerals it renders it useless.

Great cleaner for my tiles. Water tank lasts longer than I thought as it appears to be a small tank. I like the 2 different cleaning heads.very easy to manover and heats up quickly. The cord wraps up neatly without having to tuck it into the rest of the lead and is easy stored.
The water tank lasts the whole house, easy to manouvre, great option of having steam on or off and I like the two different mop heads.
It's a pity you can't click the steam activated to stay on without having to hold it on. The last steam mop I had I just clicked it on an d clicked it off when needed.

Love it!

Perfect for cleaning tiles. You can regulate the amount of steam coming through so it doesn't leave floors too wet. Also used on laminate floor without steam. The water tank lasts long so there is no need to keep refilling, one tank finishes my house and still has plenty of reserve to keep going if necessary. There are 2 cleaning heads supplied, one has a rough surface for hard to clean dirt and the other is a little smoother. Like that it is a triangle head as it gets into all areas with ease
Light and easy to maneuver. Not too expensive

Can this be used to steam fabric aswell, such as a couch?

I have the lift-off model and haven't tried it on fabric. The instructions don't specify fabric cleaning and there doesn't seem to be any attachment that would be appropriate. I wouldn't do it personally.

Hi there Clare, I am not too sure, there is an attachment to use on carpets, but no attachment for anything like furniture. To be honest I was so disappointed with the product I have not been using it.

Perhaps you're using too much steam? Try only using smaller spurts of steam and see if that makes a difference.
