I mentioned Macu Vision tablets to my optometrist when I had my yearly visit with him last week. He recommended I start taking them. Said they are good for eye health in general, & doesn't matter if you have macular degeneration or not. I have the beginnings of cataracts, so figured I may as well do my eyes a favour & start taking these tablets. I've not been experiencing any nausea, like some people have been saying. Macu Vision are horrendously expensive! They are cheapest at Chemist Warehouse. Don't do what I did & buy them at Priceline! To make the bottle last longer, I'm only taking them 5 days a week, & skipping weekends.

I too have nauseous, and stomach problems,when taking Macu Vision, It does however only happen after eating at my Mother in Laws place !
Apart from that my MD appears to be improving

My eyes are watery and sticky. my vision is sometimes blurry. I lid care and seriwater wash /rinse them several xs per day, when taking macuvision with food, i feel yuk for a while after taking them i also take leuitin protect. Just starting on them a month ago...

Because I have early symptons of Macular Degeneration in my right eye,my GP suggested I take 1 Blackmores Macu-Vision per day.Found them on special at Woolworths a couple of months ago,and have been taking 1 per day ever since. I consider the degeneration has stabilised,and would even go so far to say my eyesight has improved somewhat. Worth a try.

If you find macuvision expensive you look around before you run out and they are usually on special somewhere. EG. Chemist warehouse, Woolworths and Coles. Sometimes you can get them at half price.

My eye specialist has advised me to take Macu-Vision as I have MD but unfortunately I also feel very nauseous for a couple of hours after. Perhaps I am not taking the tablet right or at the right time. I take each days tablet with my lunch. I eat half my lunch, take the tablet, then finish off my lunch. This used to help a bit but over the past few months it isn't working. Today I took my tablet before lunch but I feel worse. Can you please advise me when it would be best to take this tablet? I don't want top go blind.

As some one commented on the opening page. I also feel very nauseous taking it too, whereas I never used to. I want to keep taking it, even though my specialist says it doesn't work? I feel its holding it at bay. But I would like to know if there have been any changes in it to cause the nausea.

I honestly think that Blackmores is a very reliable brand in the health supplement field. My husband's optometrist recommended that he take these Macu Vision tablets for his eyes so we thought we'd give them a try and he finds that his sight is much better when he takes them. He has been taking them now for a couple of years and I expect he will continue in the future. Your sight is very important, I'd recommend taking them.
These tablets really do help your vision and maintain good eye health
Bit expensive and the prices can vary considerably at different outlets so it is worth shopping around

I really do like Blackmores products and trust this brand to contain what it says it contains. i take a number of their products including this one as preventatives, not because i have anything wrong with my eyes
the antioxidants in this product not only are of great benefit to your eyes, they will also be of benefit to the rest of your body cells, tissues and systems
like all quality brands it is a bit more costly than the other brands but in the nutrient business I feel you get what you pay for. I'd prefer a screw top

My husband has been taking Macu-vision for a couple of years now and I believe that has eyesight deterioration has slowed down. His last eye test results were very similar to the previous one, so his reading glasses strength remains the same. This also could be contributed to taking other vitamin, mineral and herbal supplements such as fish oil, antioxidants, olive leaf extract.I generally trust Blackmores brand. They are more expensive than other brands, but they also are available everywhere. It is possible to reduce the cost a little if you wait for % discounts or use special offers from Priceline or Healthy Life stores.
