    ILVE CU-79 Rangehood Filters

    published

My ILVE -CU79 Filters are also flimsy and the two secure sprocket pins, have broken off rending them useless. I have had to remove them after initial using Duct Tape which just accumulated oil and grease wouldn't secure them to the main unit. The entire fan unit has grease and oil in the guts of the unit, which I clean as far up as possible as well as the into the fan (using cotton earbud's) I would agues that the same Manufacturing factory is used for every brand of Rangehood Filters. Corperate Bloody-mindless--ness that allows the cost of a filter replacement to be THE SAME $ as a New Unit! Disgusting.

Purchased in August 2010 for $800.

Filters broke within 6 months and won't stay in unit, switch cover keeps falling off - poor quality

    published

Both filters are extremely flimsy and bent, broke, and distorted so they no longer stay in the unit. Finally looked at replacing them and they're $140 each! Not worth $20 in real terms, and $280 is the current price of the whole unit. Won't consider Blanco again.

Purchased in August 2018 at e&s for $300.

    Works well

    published

Takes out virtually all the fumes when I cook, not too noisy either so I leave it on the high setting. Aluminium filters do require to be cleaned every 2 - 3 weeks but can be put into the dishwasher which is convenient. Slide out mechanism is easy to slide in and out and doesn't feel like its scraping. Happy with my purchase!

Not happy. Bad design and poor quality

    published

After around 4 years stopped working due to circuit board burned out. All power goes thru the tiny copper conductors that are nowhere near up to the job. I don't think it should pass Australian/industry standards. Also the filters don't do a very effective job. I've been equally disappointed with our Blanco cooktop and oven. Never would I buy Blanco again.
