power switch on Bosch PKN675DB1A has failed after 5 days
same issue., on of switch has failed, wont switch on.....cooktop is 5 days old and has now stopped working...spoke to after sales service..not helpful..told I will now have to wait a week before a repair man can come out...not very good for a brand new "premium" brand like Bosch..
Purchased in May 2021 at The Good Guys for A$1,000.00.

Broke five years too soon
Bought the Bosch Series 8 cooker top. Installed in December 2017. Died in June 2018. Same problem as another customer. The on/off switch sensor started to fail over two weeks, then just died completely. Response time from the repair company was excellent. Now waiting for the part which supposidly is to be shipped from Melbourne. Bosch should not break! This is a premium priced product.

Product Fails Completely - weeks to get replacement!!!
Bought the new cooktop for kitchen renovation. Installed on 2nd February 2017. Began to have problems switching on about 20th May, 2017. Reported fault to Bosch by email on 24th June, 2017 when cooktop switched itself off while cooking dinner. Phone Bosch customer care on Monday 26th June, 2017. Contacted by repair agent later that day. After a week, phoned Bosch Customer Care 13300369744 to ask when the problem would be solved. Told parts had to come from Germany and would be at least two weeks!! Called again, on 4th July 2017, to say that sin...Read more
ce it was a total product failure I required a replacement. Finally, after demanding to speak to a supervisor, Bosch agreed to replace the unit. Then I had to email a proof of purchase despite having registered the guarantee when the product was purchased. No, I was told, that went to a different department and the two departments do no communicate!!!! Today, 10th July, The cooktop has still not been replaced, so 16days without being able to cook at home. Also, today I received an email asking for my feedback on the repair carried out on the appliance WHEN NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO FIX THE ISSUE!!! Customer care is obviously the last care of Bosch! Is it possible to turn the bloody constant beeping Off? Everything I do it beeps. If you drip water on its surface it beeps. If I move the pan off the element it beeps. You rest another pan on an unused element and it beeps. Shut the F.. up and then when you are not looking it turns the element off and your food is not bubbling away nicely as it should be.

Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch cooktop. You can adapt the basic settings to suit your needs, including turning the audible signal off. You can find a step by step 'how to guide' on page 11 & 12 of your instruction manual. On the same page is also information about 'Automatic hotplate switch-off'. If a hotplate has been switched on for a long time without the setting being changed, the automatic time limit is activated. You can make new settings for this as well to suit your cooking needs. Purchased 28/3/17 we built a new kitchen and purchased all Bosch products as we wanted the best. Unfortunately on the touch pad, 0 has never worked. I wasn’t sure if this was right or not? For 2 years now the number (1) has not responded when touched. Then Aprox 6 months ago the (2) Or (2 1/2) has not responded. Last month the (8) pad has stopped responding when touched Another thing we have noticed is that it will randomly change the heat setting ( usually down or off) which is mostly lucky however a few times it has gone to 9 I know it has an over heat automatic cut off but that is not what is happening could you please help me??
