Good Iron with good steam, however cant hold its drink
The iron Heats up and temperature control is fantastic. the amount of steam output is very generous and gives my clothes a great iron. However, about 10 minutes into using it, there is the occasional uncontrollable leak that made two of my shirts all wet and made a mess of everything. Will how how it fares for the next couple irons but may consider a refund.

Was ok
I purchased this iron to replace my Philips Azur GC 5865, it works fine, good heavy iron, but wasn’t hot enough for me as I really like an iron that’s really hot. I returned the iron for this reason, but it would be a good iron if you are not looking for a really hot iron.

Great product
It just irons beautifully. I rarely have to press twice. It will turn itself off when left for a while and this constantly happens when I'm sewing. To start up again, I only have to pick up the iron and move it over the ironing board cover which is great!

Good iron but died after 3 years
Had always been happy with this iron. I liked the weight on it as I prefer a more solid iron. The sole plate is good and glides smoothly. Did job well but suddenly just stopped working. It still looks in very good condition and never been dropped. It is out of warranty period so I can't get it fixed or replaced.
Bit disappointed after having a good run. Previous irons have lasted much longer than this, and we don't iron large volumes.
Is this just the way appliances are made nowadays? Not made to last?

I like it and have been using it weekly
This iron heats up quick (I don't have to spend minutes waiting) and temperature control is quite accurate.
Price-wise slightly more expensive than other brands but I got this during the Braun cashback promotion so it was not my concern.
I would really recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a reliable iron.

Works fine
This iron is really awesome, the best one i used. It makes my shirt looks beautiful. Also its easier to use though it has so many functions. his iron heats up very quickly but I have managed to burn a few items as the temperature can be too hot on certain fabrics.

Excellent product!
First, I personally am a big fan of Braun. German-engineering simply never fails.
I bought this steam iron about a year ago, using it everyday, and it is still working perfectly fine, never missed a beat.
The design of the tip part helps to iron corners like collars very easily.
Recommending to all.

Love this Iron
This iron really delivers. Heats quickly and the iron uses the perfect amount of steam to remove wrinkles without much effort from the operator. Has certainly cut my ironing time. There is a slight noise from the steam, but that doesn't worry me as I know when I hear that, it is doing exactly what it is designed to do.
This is the first review I have ever written, but I am so impressed with this iron that I felt I had to do this. Also, I bought this iron because of the positive reviews it had already received. Great value for money

Completely over rated
I purchased this iron after reading many good reviews... but ... it is heavy and bulky to use, doesn't heat up well, and constantly makes annoying gurgling noises during ironing. Sole plate developed rust spots after only a few months ... and after 6 months and many emails I still haven't received my $100 cash back from the original purchase.

Disappointed
I purchased this iron based on Choice magazine reviews as I needed one that was recommended for ironing cotton. On first use I immediately noticed it would not iron cotton or cotton/polyester well at all. Even set at the highest temperature and steam it does not remove all wrinkles.
As other reviewers have noted the highest setting does not seem to be hot enough for cotton or linen.

Holey, Moley - so impressed with this little beauty
After spending nearly $500 on an iron some years ago, you know the steam irons with the base with water in it and the hot plate with steamer cord, well, yes the inthinkable happened and the daughter dropped the iron and base (I don't know how) but it is kaput. We quickly bought a cheapie (bad mistake) and it kept setting of the safety switch and no power till I went and reset it (try typing 10 pages and lose it all when the power goes out ---grrrhhh). So I checked the Good Guys for a decent iron which did not cost the earth but was better than ...Read more
a cheapy. Well we settled on the Braun, Texstyle 7 as it also had a good cashback deal and to me seemed better specifications than the other irons. The iron is quick to heat, its base plate is always clean, the shot steam is great. Its design appeared a little unusual but moulds into your hand very well. It is obvious they (Braun) have spent the time and money into really making a fantastic iron. The wife and daughter say its even better than the clunky steam iron as it took up space on the ironing board and is even lighter than the steam head of the old iron. I have now started ironing and hence the review, this iron actually makes ironing so much better - thank you Braun. So if you shopping around for a new Iron, I can thoroughly recommend the Braun Texstyle 7. You won't be dissapointed, and as always, see the Good Guys for a great deal. CheersSimilar opinion? Hot and lots of steam, brilliant result.
I bought this after giving up on a Phillips Azur which seemed to have only one lukewarm setting.
Lots of steam, good heat control, and a crisp beautiful professional result even on linen business shirts which are probably the toughest challenge.
I bought the Eloxal sole plate one, as the dearer model seemed heavier and I like a lighter iron due to shoulder and arm issues.
This is a good traditional iron that makes your clothes look good.

It Drips!!!
I bought this iron because, a) it isn't made in China and, b) it said it is "anti drip". Well, drip it does, all over the things you don't want it to drip on; actually it's more of a huge dribble than a drip and leaves annoying watermarks on some fabrics. Ok, it is not an expensive iron but when it has written on the iron itself that it is "anti drip" then that's what I expect. I know, I'm pedantic like that: I actually expect products to live up to their advertising. Other than the annoying dribble, this iron does iron stubborn fabrics like denim, linen and cotton very nicely but it does have to be going on full steam and maximum heat to do so.

I don't have this particular model, however the manual for this iron is available as a free download from the Braun website. Hopefully this will answer your question.
