I have a diamond wave technology flatbed microwave very happy with it unfortunately around 3 weeks after I bought it the light bulb blew whereabouts is it located in the microwave yes I do want to have a go at doing it myself I am quite skilled at this kind of thing and would appreciate any advice and/or videos please...
Whereabouts is the light globe in my Breville flatbed it went out about 3 weeks after I bought it no I could not be bothered taking it back and then sending it away and then waiting for it to come back I would like to know where abouts it is though do I have to open the whole thing up...
On the right, behind the perforations just inside the door. The cover would need to be removed. As it's an unconventional lamp with spade terminals and there's a highly hazardous capacitor in there somewhere, I'd leave the job to a qualified technician.
Did all that remove the cover finally get the light globe cover off and guess what was inside it wasn't a light globe it was just some piece of shit techno board never seen one like it I will show you some photos. If you have an email I could send you photos if that's ok
Thank you for your help unfortunately if there was a real light globe in there it would have been very easy to replace it wasn't hard to get to I don't know what they've used but it's not a white globe but it had a lot globe shaped cover over it.
Thanks for your help Marshall unfortunately they decided to use a cheap part which is an LED kit which isn't meant to be taken apart and usually most people would have to pay on electrician to replace it which would be very expensive glad to say I'm not one of them I actually did it myself went to an appliance store spoke to an electrician He said I could swap it straight out with an actual light globe kit which cost me $20 and it also needed a fuse which cost me $4.70 Took me about half an hour to 40 minutes to do it all put the cover back on good as new and I probably saved myself around $400- $500.
Quick question - does the Breville flatbed run a cooling cycle after it has heated the food? Is it very noisy? My old unit of a different brand always runs the fans for quite an extended period after food is heated and removed. This interferes with listening to the TV in our open plan kitchen/family room. Grateful any responses.
I find after opening the microwave door after use, a fair bit of steam comes out and the internal compartment is covered in condensation. It seems like it’s not extracting any air during cooking. Is this normal? It sits away from the wall and nothing covering the sides. I just didn’t have this issue with any previous microwaves.
I have read a review that says that you can't use microwave plastic containers, only glass. Is this correct?
That sounds very odd to me. I haven't found other materials to be a problem and I've used ceramic plates, clay cups, plastics, glass, silicone, and ceramic baking dishes in my one.
What is the issue with diamond wave microwave sitting on a metal surface? Is this an issue only for this technology or all microwaves?
I'm confused about the Meat Auto Menu button: page 20 of the manual says it's for re-heating meat but page 21 under TIPS ON AUTO MENU SETTINGS talks about cooking meat. So what's the button for - re-heating or cooking?
The ceramic base plate and reports that some dishes get extremely hot make me wonder whether "microwave safe" plastic cookware and containers are still okay to use in this model?
If FOOD is going to heat up it's only natural the container is going to get hot. I don't think this Microwave causes excessive heat I have found everything I have cooked in it to be cooked well considering how long the timer is set. It really is no different to heating in any other microwave HOT FOOD is going to heat the container. Consider pouring HOT SOUP into a bowl, the bowl gets hot. The only way you can counter this is put a larger plate under your container and grab that when taking your hot food out or use a cloth or gloves. This is like when people have a cup of tea they usually place a saucer under the tea cup to carry.
Our plates are extremely hot using the diamond wave, we cant even touch them??
Yes, I found the same. It is because of the hotplate underneath. However the positive is that your cup of tea / coffee or your plate of soup is not cold at the bottom. I just have a small tea-towel at hand to take out the plates. Not a big price to pay for a great Microwave.
Hi we purchased a LMO525BSS yesterday when we tried cooking some rice condensation appeared between the glass on the door and is still there today is this a problem.

Have you contacted Breville? Their customer support is very, very helpful. They were for me when I had a minor problem.
Where is the Manual? I didn't get one with mine....
I have previously answered this question. Don't know whether it was the same person.
My manual was in the box. I still have it.
Have you tried Breville. I am sure that the phone number is somewhere on the paper work that you have. I contacted them on an unrelated matter and they were extremely helpful.
