Don't ever buy from Breville Factory Shop
Over a year ago I bought this juicer from factory shop, It never seemed to be right, but as it was a 2 hour round trip to the shop i let it go until it got worse, I took it back and after been put down in the shop I took it for repair, after a month they had to give me a new one, this lasted about 6 or 7 months, then it exploded, It was 1 month out of warranty, The Breville help line is disgusting and arrogant, they would not replace it, Then i called again and said the motor warranty is 5 years, so they said take it for repair, the repair shop said they do not have replacement motors, so my $200 machine went in the bin, Never again Breville

Wonderful alternative to using TWO appliances
This is exactly what the market needed! I prefer my juice to have a bit more ooomph than just a plain juice so until the Froojie landed on my doorstep, I'd use my juicer and then use my blender to add a whole banana or berries. More than once, I didn't follow through my urge to make juice because I couldn't bear the thought of having to clean two applicances. Which makes the Froojie the perfect alternative.
The puree attachment isn't as good as a blender, of course, and the juice ends up just a little chunky but it's still small enough to dr...Read more
ink through a straw (or a bottle, as my children do) and considering the time and mess it saves me, it is well worth it. Thoroughly recommended. Ikon Froojie 5 speed juicer
Just bought one of these juicers from Good Guys who beat Bing Lee's sale price of $299 by $1, so I got it for $118!!!
I have found it is best to stack the feeding tube with produce THEN switch on (after speed selection of course(). There is around about one second wind up to speed which is great, gives time to get fingers off the off/on button and concentrate on the juicing. I also found it best to not force the pusher if all veges etc in the tube don't juice straight away and the motor seems to labour just back off until that bit has been jui...Read more

Awesome machine, easy to clean!
We made a video response and unboxing check it out...this machine is awesome and we're using it everyday. The blades are super sharp so becareful! Also, you can juice a whole orange with peels but I wouldn't recommend it as it'll hurt the motor...thin skins you can put in whole...but then it tastes bitter.

sturdy, affordable, tough
the shoot is big but it has an obstruction inside it forcing you to cut your fruit down to size

Very happy, almost 5 star, little hard to clean
This is a good juicer but I am finding its a little hard to keep clean. For price its good value. I am quite pleased with it and just wanted to make a note that the warranty period is very good. The finishing looks quality compared to others that have a cheap plastic appearance. Its very fast as well.

Just love it.
Picked this juicer up this week as an early mothers day present and I love it. $199 from Bing Lee - though the shelf price had been $279. It is pretty, it works well, it has a 5 year warranty, and I can't believe it but the kids like the juice it makes. The kids (2,4 and 5) have only ever had clear apple juice from the shops, but I whipped them up some in this - used whole red skinned apples - and they all said it was delicious. Clean up was no worse that cleaning my Breviile Ikon food processor. Made some vegetable juices and was surprised at ...Read more
how great they tasted, just like the expensive bottles of fancy juice at the supermarket. My new fav appliance for sure - and I have a lot of appliances :) The price - it was only a little dearer than the Breville juicer model below it and has a five year warranty instead of 1 year. Also, it makes awesome juice, with an acceptable amount of wastage.3 comments
Hi, which bing lee did you go to? Is the sale still on? We've just purchased one from harvey noman that was reduced to $250 and would love to save 50 dollars so we might return it and head over to bing lee!

Great Juicer
Purchased this juicer after months of researching online and in stores. Have been happy with it so far (bought it five months ago). Love the speed, look, quality and short prep. time for fruit or vegetable juices as well as the added bonus of a dial adjustment, large jug and pulp container. Have just purchased another one for my son.
Ease of use, quality and reasonably priced.
Is very large, make sure you have enough counter or under storage space.

A solid and reliable juicer.
I bought this based upon previous reviews and I am not disappointed. It is a quality unit, with good fit and finish. It is made of metal and plastic and weighs more than it looks like it will. It spins up to speed quickly and has variable speed for different fruits and vegetables. The centrifuge is well balanced with sharp teeth and a fine sieve. It is easy to clean. The soft fruit attachment, whilst functional, is more of a liquefier than a juicer.
Fast, efficient, well built, easy to clean.

Easy to use, excellent product
I upgraded from a little machine that had a small jellybean shaped insertion which involved a lot of fruit cutting, a fair amount of mess and difficulty disassembling to clean. I researched a few juicers and bought the breville ikon off gumtree for $50. Very, very happy with it. Whole apples which retain their flavours, along with easily juicing beet root, celery, ginger, kale, watermelon etc. I have used the froojie to make a gorgeous mango slushy, with very ripe mangoes. Easy to take apart and rinse. Easy to reassemble. It is a big machine, so be aware of that. i am Very happy
Ease of assembly, juice extraction is thorough, easy to clean

Very satisfied
I did my reseach on juicers, I went to choice online and compared all the juicers they had and this one they said was one of the best. I also went to Breville website to compare this one to the more expensive ones plus the new cold press one they had. Also spoke to family members as to which one they had and their thoughts and experince. A guy at work his wife brought the Breville 410 and is very happy, at the time 520 was not released. So in the end I chose this one and have not been disappointed.
Easy to take apart for cleaning, very easy to clean, It does not take up alot of space on my bench top. It is fast not much chopping needed.
So far I have not had any problems with it, but it is early days.

Pretty good juicer - love it
After my fiasco with another juicer, I was on the lookout for a Breville Juicer, mainly because of the ease of feeding veg/fruit into the machine. I was fortunate that an acquaintace was moving house and had one they weren't using! My good fortune - it was as new, immaculate and virtually unused and wanted only $50 for it. Lucky me.
This machine is brilliant in that you can put whole apples, whole oranges (peeled),4 or 5 carrots at a time and whole bunch of celery through and it has a large pulp catcher as well as juice jug with foam catche...Read more
r included. The machine is strong and sturdy and not too noisy., The Frooji has a seperate disc for soft fruits like bananas and is great for making a soft serve like mixture. Easy to clean and has it's own specially designed brush. Nicely designed. It's rather large though and takes up quite some space on bench Great juice. Fast! Eay to clean Large - takes up a lot of bench space.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great juicer!
Done my research and this juicer proved to be very nice! Easy to put together, easy to clean, specially with most parts are machine washable. My husband and our toddler love the juice and smoothies. Great price: Harvery Norman has matched internet price, saving over $70. Doesn't take too long to clean fruits/ veg as it takes most of them (except citrus or hard skins ones) as they're!
Quick, easy to assemble/ dissemble. Brush that comes with it cleans the disk quickly and no residue left after.

Love it!!!!
Have had lots of fun working out combinations for smoothies and juices. The internet is fantastic for recipes. My 16 yr old son loves the fresh juices and smoothies. Says the smoothies are very filling. With just using the Breville twice, I was putting it together and taking it apart super fast. Also, Harvey Norman price matched on an internet price, so I saved over $70. Fantastic!!!!
Fun, easy clean, easy setup, healthy and great looking on my bench.
With a 1300watt motor, would be great with an icer attachment.

Fast, efficient, easy to clean - great for busy/lazy people!
Have been a bit wary of juicers - due to having to chop all the fruit/veg and clean all the bits of equipment and associated mess/waste afterwards, but had a look online and the Breville Ikon juice fountain plus came up consistently as a good centrifugal juicer that overcame these issues. It has 5 speeds - you can chuck whole fruit and veg in at the apropriate speed and it's juiced in an instant - with little waste (the waste is quite 'dry').
Has a sturdy, brushed stainless steel design an is easy to assemble/disassemble. I do wonder whethe...Read more
r the plastic bits will become brittle - but they are made of the same type of plastic as my Dyson vac, which take a fair hammering and hasn't cracked in 2 years. It also comes with a second blade disc for pureeing and making smoothies - although I doubt I'd ever use this bit. Very happy with this product - would never have bought a juicer that needed peeled/chopped fruit! Quick, easy, sturdy metal bits Long lasting plastic bits?2 comments

Breville Juice - To my surprise - I would buy it again.
It has been easy to clean. The large chute means that I don't have to spend 30 minutes chopping if I am doing 2 litres of juice. To my surprise the oxidation in the juice (whilst admittedly more than a cold press juicer) has been a lot less than I thought it would be.
Juice can last up to 24-36 hours in the fridge if I have not used a lot of leaves in my juice. Kale and celery leaves seem to be the exception but spinach leaves don't oxidate and go off too fast. So if you are on a juicing fast or have a large family - you might want to consider this one. We use it daily, sometimes even twice! It's husband-friendly too ;-p

I store my juice in a glass container that has a little plug in the lid that suck out the air. It keeps juice (with leaves) well till the next morning if need be. Mostly I drink all the juice though throughout the same day.

Love it for fruit and vegetable juice, not a fan of how it processes soft fruits
Was drawn to the Breville ikon froojie BJE520 because of the large chute and two juicing disks, one for juicing fruits and vegetables, the other for pureeing soft fruits.
The large feed chute requires less prep time, peeled oranges slide right through though I do find I quarter very large granny smiths and beetroot. Am very impressed with how it easily juices a wide variety of fruit and vegetables, oranges, apples, pineapple, carrot, beetroot, kale, celery, ginger. Not at all impressed with the froojie disk though. Both mango and banana res...Read more
ulted in a puree filled with lumps and only about half of the strawberries went through as puree the other half ended up in the waste bin. On one occasion a chunk of strawberry blocked the outlet that runs in to the jug and the remaining juice within the unit flowed out underneath the juice catchment bowl and out on to the kitchen bench. Have since stopped using the froojie disk. For soft fruits I have reverted back to using the stick blender which gives a smoother puree and doesn't waste any of the fruit. The jug that the juice drains in to is large and the lid is quite clever in that it catches the foam so your glass of juice is just that, juice. Once familiar with the parts of the Breville ikon froojie BJE520 it is easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning. I don't have a dishwasher so wash all the parts by hand but don't find this too much of a chore. We are a family of 4 and use the juicer every day and usually twice a day on weekends so it lives on the kitchen bench ready and waiting. The resulting juice is far superior to anything you would buy in the supermarket. Juices hard fruits and vegetables brilliantly. Short prep time. The froojie disk doesn't do a very good job of pureeing soft fruits.2 comments
Yeah you would need a blender for soft fruits.
love the frooji soft fruit disk. Have put bananas, oranges and stone fruits through it, and comes out like soft serve. Delicious!

Terrible
This is the second Breville juicer I have bought that has broken down. I don't care if it's under warranty, it's not worth my time and money to go driving around to get it replaced. The main thing I want from any product is for it to last a couple of years. I'm very unhappy about this and will be the last Breville purchase I make.
Looks okay
Broke down within less than two months of light usage (display lights up, flicking to "On" does nothing.)

Excellent
A heavy duty juicer with an extra 84 mm feed chute for whole apples, pieces of fruit.
Love the second disc that can juice soft fruits and is ideal one for making delicious froojie-so yummy!
Makes dips too, as well as the smoothies, juices and froojies (juices soft fruit with lots of pulp-like a puree!)
Looks very smart, takes 5 min to clean (leave out to dry)
Delicious juices
Quick to use & clean
Good customer care
5 year warranty

What setting do i juice kale

Kale's tough, so I'd go 5, but you won't get loads of juice out of it. I don't bother with Kale anymore because there's not enough yield of juice for what you put in.

Can anyone advise does the juice produced from this unit have froth on top? I hate the froth!! How does this juicer cope with leafy veggies? I love spinach and need a juicer that can handle this. Can you juice wheat grass in this juicer?

A little bit but its not too frothy at all but has a small amount on top. Presses are the juices that dont have froth or the champion juicer
It does, but u have the option to leave the lid on jug, when pouring for no froth,
ake lid off if u want froth
