Useless as a juicer
just bought one in an as new condition to replace my older Moulinex. Very disappointed, it's juicing capability is worse than my 20 year old Moulinex! Did the test, and the Breville extracts 12% less juice from an equal amount of carrots compared to my Moulinex. To add to the disappointment, the Moulinex uses 200W whilst the Breville has a 900W motor in it.

Great Product
Bought this recently and have made juice every day since. It's compact enough to sit on my bench-top permanently while large enough that it can juice an apple whole. It's efficient, easy to use and easy to clean. It produces a good amount of juice from what you put into it. I'd happily recommend this to anyone looking to buy an affordable juicer.

Surprisingly useful
Thought this would just get used a few times then sit in the cupboard, but actually we have used it constantly now for over a month. It makes better quality juice than what you can buy, and is much better than using a blender. The best flavour combination is apple + carrot (roughly 1 carrot for 2 apples) + 1 banana + 1 cm ginger + 1 handful of spinach, which is beautiful. You can experiment with berries etc. Sometimes we core the apples but it doesn't make much difference to the taste, but I do take off any stalks and cut the bitter green top o...Read more
ff the carrots. Also tried making tomato juice but that's revolting. It makes beautiful orange juice, especially if mixed with mandarin or tangelo, but we peel citrus and remove the pith. Also makes a nice carrot juice on its own. Cleaning the bowl and lid is easy, using the tap spray and it can also be put in the dishwasher top shelf. Cleaning the little screen is a bit more tricky, using water spray and brush until the mesh is clear. The dog will often eat the leftover pulp if there is no citrus in it. Only negative is the jug you fit to the side can spill if knocked, and if you forget to put it on its a major disaster.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

love the model
nice space saving machine - strong motor - easy to clean - good results - two minor issues are the small size of the pitcher and the pitcher lid which needs a better fitting - it moves too easy under the outlet and results in spills - with a paper towel or cloth under the container it works fine but shows again how careless and superficial many products are fabricated

Excellent
Compact, cheap price AU$ 100 delivered, works very well, easy to clean and not many parts.
But it feels quality.
It even looks good :)
Was recommended by Choice and is worth it.
Good for a couple of drinks in one go (800ml max. jug)
Another great Breville product.
This Brand is growing on me.

Good juicer
I got the Juice Fountain Compact as a gift in Jan 2015. I have been using it everyday and loving it. Easy to use and clean. A little bit noisy but I am fine with that. Have to be very quick when putting the fruits in else fruits will be flying out and bits of juices splattering all over the wall and bench and make a mess. Also have to put the jug well under the juicer spout else juices will spill. I get that sort of problem sometimes.

Average juicer
Mum bought me this after my last juicer packed up. I just returned it to the shop and got another one this week as the whole blade unit was jumping up inside the machine when pushing the veges down the chute, this always happened at the end of the chute. Scared the bejezus out of me. Very little juice, too much pulp too. The new one is better but seems to have a hard time juicing carrots and clunks / labours in a similar way though the blade doesn't jump up. Flings pulp out of the chute sometimes, and moves all over the bench so the juice misses the jug. Still scary to use, am loathe to take this one back, would probably look at buying a different juicer altogether. Do like the compactness of it, and it is easy to clean = relatively.

Best value for money
I recently returned a Russel Hobbs Juicer which costed me $200 because it was struggling to juice carrots (at 600w) and the cleaning part was as hard as disassembling a motor engine.
This is a great, cheap and useful juicer. It plainly does the job, for $79.00 it's well worth it.
Cleaning is easy, and it's rather small, so hope it lasts long!

Juices well but very messy
Have just started using a new Breville juice fountain BJE200. It works very well but have found that juice leaks from the cover down the sides onto the benchtop and potentially into the motor unit. Not sure if a seal is missing or if a design flaw. I have also found that you need to be very quick with inserting the food pusher as juice and debris is quick to fly up when in operation.
Other than this I am fairly happy with my first juicer.

First Juicer and I love it.
After talking to a friend who had just bought one I bought the Breville Juice Fountain Compact ( BJE200 ) a couple of weeks ago and was so happy with it I have bought my mother one and talked another friend into getting one as well.
I have never had a juicer before so was not sure what to expect but am very happy with it so far. Easy to use, easy to clean and easy to put together/pull apart.
I make juice every day with it, mainly using carrots, beetroot, celery and apple and I am very impressed by how quick and easy it is. After I have used i...Read more

Awesome value for money
My last juicer was the big, far more expensive version, which was plagued by problems but this compact version is far superior for a fraction of the cost.
Only dislike is the fact it captures the leftovers inside the juicer compartment which is quite hard to clean. Would prefer a separate tub, but given the price of this unit, I can't complain too much! It is very quiet, has easy to separate parts and is easy to use. am very happy and can recommend. For the price, brilliant.

Perfect juicer for compact kitchen - easy to use
I bought the Breville compact juice fountain a few months ago from big w. It was $98. I didn't want a bulky juicer or one that was hard to clean. This compact juicer comes with it's own firm bristle brush (for scrubbing the juicing plate) which doubles as a spatula to clear out the pulp from the cassette. It goes in the dishwasher (top drawer) or I rinse it and leave it to dry if I'm going to use it multiple times in a day. It fits in a smaller space than the bread maker.
Efficiently juices whole apples and carrots, as well as leafy greens; fairly easy to clean.
May not suit larger families - cassette for pulp collection is a little inconvenient to scrub clean.

I put a large freezer bag in the pulp bin as recommended in the manual. Its brilliant as I dont have to clean the pulp bin at all - just rinse the pulp out of the bag and replace when needed. I love this juicer!
I think you're referring to the larger breville juice fountain - this review is for the compact model and has a cassette pulp collector, not a bin.

Love this product!
This is my first juicer and I had wanted one for a while. I love it!! It's small but powerful and i'm amazed at the amount of juice it can get out of fruits and vegetables.
It is extremely easy to clean. I clean it right after use. It rinses out easily and it comes with a cleaning brush for the sieve part. I just brush it with running water and it only takes about a minute.
I highly recommend this product. I also really love how it looks :-)
Inexpensive, compact, looks good

Great Juicer for the price
Really happy with my Breville Juice Fountain Compact. I accidentally put a plum WITH PIT in it and still didn't manage to break it, so it's a durable, strong performing juicer.
Highlights: it works great, relatively compact, easy to clean. It feels like a really well made product.
I also got free shipping from Appliances Online, so compared to other juicers on the market, the price is unbeatable.
Froth separator is handy; easily does leafy veg and hard veg; fairly easy to clean
Sometimes it leaves chunks of fruit/veg in the pulp container

Product Worthy of a Place on the Kitchen Bench
I have been nothing but impressed with this Juicer since I bought it 3 weeks ago. The initial reasons for this purchase was because I 1. wanted a juicer and 2. needed one because I was about to begin my first Juice Cleanse. The Breville Juice Fountain really supported me through the cleanse, laterally devouring all types of veggies and fruits I pushed down the tube towards the violently spinning centrifugal juicing part of the machine. I was even more impressed when a couple of days ago I took the juicer apart (after juicing carrots and apple) ...Read more
and discovered a thin slice of apple left on top of the cutting section. This was a great design plus! I have read many reviews which state that after a while they notice bits of cut up plastic in the pulp and juice itself because the fruit pushing cylinder touches the graters at the base. This thin slice of apple was proof to me that the cylinder does not touch and may in fact have been designed to stop short especially to prevent mentioned problem from arising. Needless to say, I was very impresses! My decision to but the Juice Fountain also came down to the overall size and design and price. I didn't have a lot of savings, but wanted a quality and lasting product. I was also in the market for a smaller or more compact juicer as my Kitchen bench space is limited. I found that the Breville Juice Fountain ticked all these boxes and so I made my purchase and have never looked back. I believe that Breville make very strong appliances and are well priced and aesthetic to the eye. I will enjoy juicing in the machine and thank Breville for a great product. design, price, inexpensive, energy efficient, good quality, juicing strength, compact size, easy to take apart and clean, ease of use, thoughtful design1 comment

Easy to use
I just wanted a juicer that wouldnt take up the entire cupboard and was easy to clean. This juicer does all that! It is perfect for me. I made a carrot, celery and apple juice this arvo and it was beautiful! Easy to make and easy to clean. Love the little jug that it comes with and the cleaning tool. Its dishwasher safe too!
Easy to use, inexpensive, small.
Does rotate around the bench a little but thats probably because its quite powerful.

Great juicer
If you are thinking should I or should not? Will it work well or will it not? The answer is yes. It's a great little machine and it extracts juice very well. Just from a single green apple I got close to half a cup. Its compact and easy to store away. I also found it easy to clean - just take the top off and wash - 1 minutes and done. Also, its not loud at all like others I can experienced with. I would recommend it.

Perfect juicer for one
I read many reviews, looked at many prices at different stores and am happy to say, I think I chose the best juicer for price. It is small, compact, easy to clean and does the exact thing I bought it for... to make yummy juices! I'm not sure if anyone has the same problem but I find there is quite a lot of froth. Does anyone have any tips to reduce this? So far I have made an orange, beetroot, celery, carrot and spinach juice. Ive also made a pineapple, apple, orange, strawberry and blueberry juice. Delish with some ice cubes on a hot day! Might even try to freeze them into icy poles!
Its exactly what I paid for - basic and does the job!
A lot of foam

The foam is the unfortunate part of having a centrifugal juicer, because they spin so fast they create a lot of air which ends up in the juice. Some of the more expensive ones have slower speeds to av... Read more
oid this. Having said that I don't find the foam to be too excessive and get plenty of juice out of a reasonably small amount of fruit and veg.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

The arm that goes over the top to hold the lid on has vertical movement and does not hold the lid at all so all the liquid sprays out everywhere.

the lid does not clamp down hard and juice go everywhere

lid does not clamp down
1 answer
have the steel clamp bar to the right of the juicer to start with....then the plastic lid has to sit down which it will only do if it is aligned properly on the left hand side where the shute for the pulp is. Once that is aligned properly it will sit down snugly and you can raise the steel bar to close the lid.
