Love this little printer
Has WSP WIFI setup - doesn't even need to be connected to a computer at any point if your router supports WSP.
Does the job just fine. Two-sided printing is a plus for saving paper and resources. Using it for several years now.
SAFE ON TONER REPLACEMENTS: log into the settings menu using your browser (you need the IP address of the printer - can be found in your router menu) and set cartridge use to continuous mode. Brother cartridges come with a set "lifetime" for which Brother guarantees print quality. Brother estimates the cartridge lifeti

This means that the printer will stop printing even when there is toner in the cartridge left as Brother won't guarantee print quality beyond this point. Toggling the printer into continuous mode overwrites this setting. In my experience there is always toner left for many, many more pages and I replace the cartridge only when the print quality visibly detorriates.
Printer stopped working after One year.
Purchased Brother printer in April 2022, used printer twice but last week, printer would not work, kept showing “Receiving Data”. Contacted Brother tech. from Phillipines, they tried every way to help me but printer would not print. So now I have to take the printer to a Service Centre and pay for the repairs. What a waste of plastic parts and it is brand new.

I bought this printer for my ageing father. Tested it at home first with my MacBook Air. No probs, it was totally simple to wifi connect and print. Tried to wifi connect it to Dad's Win-11 laptop no, no, no! 1.5 hours later on Brother phone support (who where very patient) and it printed but unformatted like a text dump or blank pages. Take 2, another hour on the phone and still getting nowhere. I mentioned that I have an old USB printer cable. I could hear the support lady cheering from Manila. I plugged that in and 15 mins later with phone support it prints. Not happy.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this on the shelves. It's absolutely identical.
Do not buy it. Whilst on the few occasions it worked, the print was fast and clear, large print out workloads were swallowed with ease, these occasions were, alas, few and far between. It loses wifi and USB connectivity for no apparent reason. The tiny screen is a nightmare to read and the instructions near unintelligible. After many hours of my life (that I'll never get back) trying, again and again to get it working, I eventually wrote it off for the

A single use printer
Like most printers, this Brother has problems, probably more than most. The wifi continually drops out. It goes into deep sleep mode all the time and requires unplugging and restarting. By the time the initial toner cartridge is empty, the drum needs replacing and these cost more than a new printer. It's terrible that this kind of techno-waste exists.
Add to that the quality of text is bad and print, very bad and what have you got? Another tech headache. Whether better printers exist is problematic - inkjets dry out and clog, the ink costs a fortune. Lasers have drums that fail and expensive toner. Probably hand writing or fax is more reliable.

NO support. OLD. has windows XP drivers inc. HOW OLD IS THIS "THING"?
WI-FI.... WHAT A JOKE. setup is complicated. NO instructions.(figure it out yourself)
VERY basic "how to"... does NOT come with USB cable. buttons etc on top. can't see them if on a shelf. BADLY designed.
no longevity poor printing
Bought this 15/02/2017 but gave up trying to remove spots from copies over 2 years ago. Ink on roller wouldn't come off. I spent hours trying with alcohol wipes etc. Watched all the videos to try and get rid of spots. I am looking for another printer and find that this one had great write ups. Didn't happen to me. I got maybe 3 yrs from it.

So simple to set up, the wifi connection is very efficient even in a two story house. Printing from mobile devices is easy. The double sided printing is so handy. A well built printer with great print quality. Printed work is clean and straight. The only downside is the design and function of the On/Off button. It's reliant on a relay and often takes too long to respond. Switching on is slow and is far more difficult to switch off. I can see this delicate switch being the first thing to fail eventually. I currently have my printer connected to a wall socket so switching On and Off is now instant.

The machine stopped printing and the support was woeful. I had to lodge it in a chat platform via their website then they couldn’t address the issue so they finished the chat and sent me instructions via email. I am now expected to fix it via email conversation! So much for ‘brother support being right by your side’. No am still waiting for their response.

Does what a printer does best
Do what a lazer mono printer does. No complaints. Also using a similar model in the workplace.

Very good reliable toner printer. I've had a previous model as well which was also good.
You can buy generic ink cartridges which makes it even more affordable printing option.
Would highly recommend this printer.
Very Good
I think I got an OK price considering it's well into lockdown 2021 and these things are in shorter than ever supply. At least it was delivered to my door for the money.
My B&W printing needs are more than ever. I wanted something to cope with that higher demand at home and that could also network for others here. My HP inkjet is still going fine but the ink costs rake up and it's getting on and has been used loads. The new one needed to cope with my everyday needs and the inkjet can do my colour / very finest needs as and when.

... Read morews mark it as difficult to set up for wifi. Some are from so-called "real" reviewers. I would agree the printed "quick start" guide is pretty poor but a quick Google gets you to some good YT vids and it's all easy and ultra-quick provided you have a WPS button on your router. WiFi will be labourious if you do not. There is no ethernet port, which seems a bit mean but not an issue for me in our "standard" sized area I need the WiFi option to work in. I did download the drivers for the main PC that it's hardwired to, but that's me. It was easy and I may or may not use the extra functionality offered. Away from my main PC the windows 10 generic drivers give nothing to complain about.Find out how Brother HL-L2350DW compares to other Printers

Amazing Printer
wifi...double sided printing, super economical, prints from iphone, included cartridge lasted more than three years and still printing...no paper jams, no connectivity problems ever....This printer is insanely good, very user friendly.

It works every time quality of print is great and does loads of copies.
We had a brother inkjet before but the laser is better no worries about ink spills etc
Seems good quality but setup wireless printing was not easy!
Instructions does not show AT ALL how to set up wireless printing. Have to search online and found a guy in US who had made his own video, thank goodness for that! Even though I am on MAC OS Catalina and it states no need for a driver to use it, I had to download the driver and set the printer up in the "old fashion way" to finally work wirelessly. With the IP address; it does not want the printers IP but my network IP. I am not a tech person and it was not stated anywhere. Spent hours on this!!

How does brother printer mfc-l2730dw rank for utility and functionality for home use and does it scan/copy/print/fax?
Hi Mervyn, I only purchased one for printing remotely with long life
ink, as I don’t print regularly. I am sure Brother is just as good for the
other functions but do research and check on YouTube and with your local Office Works.
is this a monochrome scanner printer
