Fantastic long lived bike.
We bought the E-350 for my eldest son, now being used by his younger brother. I love that it has both reverse-wheel brakes and hand brakes so they can learn how to use the hand brakes while still being safe. My kids have used it from around ages 2.5 - 5.5.
Purchased in July 2021 at Ivanhoe Cycles Physical store.

Best bike for kids
We got the ByK-250 (but the is no place to review here). Have had it for 2 years. Still looks and works like new. Customer assistance were helpful. All the other bikes my friends got from professional bike stores are either poorly designed or disintegrating. Love this bike. It’s worth every penny.

Great for 3.5yr old to learn on
We purchased this bike for our daughter when she was 3.5yrs old. She could have fit the e-250, however we chose the larger 350 so it would last her longer. With training wheels she is fine, and by the time the training wheels come off she will be tall enough to handle the bike comfortably. She has improved vastly in the short space of time she's been riding it and truly loves cycling to daycare a few days a week. Great quality, worth the price and can sell secondhand for a good return once we're done with it.

One of the best BMX bikes to learn to ride
I got this bike for my kid, with training wheels it was easy and fast. Quality is good, not perfect.
After my boy turned 5 it was time to remove training wheels, he didnt ride much before this.
It took no time for him to get balance, start by himself and navigate pathways. Veey happy how easy to ride, balance and turn it was for him. Very impressed.
Good:
Light weight
big wheels
good for many years
quality

ByK bikes are awesome for young riders
My kids (5 and 7) love to ride with me and I wanted to get them some nice bikes, so we combined our Christmas money with both sets of grandparents and bought my son the ByK E-350 x2i. These bikes are basically flat bar road bikes for kids. Lightweight alloy frames (not heavy steel), low centre of gravity for stability, big wheels for fast smooth rolling, and this model has 2 gears that shift automatically. Low gear is to help them start off, and changes up to cruising gear around 8kph. It will only kick down again if you stop pedalling briefly ...Read more
below 8kph for example going up an incline. Riding casually on weekends and after school, we've done over 60kms on them in the 8 weeks since Christmas and the kids love them. As you'll hear, ByK is what bike riders buy for their kids :-) They're not cheap, but they are top quality in the kids market. My son's bike weighs 8.8kg minus the training wheels which he doesn't need, but even the quality of the training wheels seems much higher than normal. These bikes are not cheap, but they do hold their value very well and are highly sought after on the second hand market. The local bike shop we bought them from said ByK is the ONLY brand parents come in asking for second hand. My full video review is available on Youtube if you search for "byk review".Similar opinion? Best kids bike - do your research and you will buy this bike
My 4 year old was loving his Micro balance bike so much and he refused to use the 12" pedal bike we had for him to progress to. It was too heavy and he did not feel in control of it and also too slow as he was speeding around on the balance bike but could not go fast on the pedal bike. Also the 12" looked tight with knees close to handlebars even though his feet were just touching the floor. Ads we all wanted to be able to go for a longer distance cycle I did my research and found BYK which sounded EXACTLY like what I was looking for. We tri...Read more
ed it out at the shop and bought it immediately. Started with trainer wheels and went for a a long ride the next day. In three days we took the trainers off and he is speeding along. It looks big with its 18" wheels but it light and my 4 year old is so comfortable on it. Bonus is that it will last a few years as the design allows longer legs to fit on it. Can't recommend it enough. Please save yourself some trouble And look at this bike before buying another. Everyone will be loving cycling a whole lot more and a lot sooner.Similar opinion?
