I miss the old days
What were they thinking! The old chocolates were perfect, these new ones actually went in the bin. Absolute crap bring back the old recipe as we won’t be buying them again until they are changed back.

Does this company take any notice of reviews?
I detest the new 'roses chocolates' but I'm more concerned the company doesn't appear to take any notice of all the scripted reviews complaining of the same thing? For goodness sake, at least give consumers the option of the traditional ones as well, if you insist on selling the latter.
If I had the gift of foresight, i would have purchased 200 boxes of the traditional box years ago and gifted them to family for 2022/20 (worth more than gold it seems) Off chocolate would taste better than these imposters!

It seems incredible that Cadbury can change an iconic product so badly and actually think they have done a good thing, was given as a christmas gift and I feel terrible complaining but!!

If it ain’t broke...
Roses were the benchmark for chocolates for decades in Australia. Simple, reliable, always good for a gift. Now they are trash. The flavours are trash. The wrapping is trash. The weird mix of textures (crunchy pieces in most) is vile. The chocolate disintegrates without any kind of pleasure. Hadn’t bought them since first trying the new types but was given a box for Christmas and it just confirmed previous loathing for this new version. Arnotts learnt their lesson when they needlessly changed Shapes. Cadbury needs to do the same and switch back to the original.

Terrible change
Give us back the original cadbury roses. The new ones are terrible. For example the peppermint flavour which use to have a soft centre is now a peppermint crisp. Horrible. The hazelnut flavour use to have a whole hazelnut in the centre. Now it has chips of hazel nut. Where is strawberry and the white raspberry isn't that nice. I won't be buying it until they pick their act up. I prefer cadbury favourites.
Unhappy

Disgusting!!
I’m going to say this and I don’t care what I get back. I’m a kiwi. The Cadbury factory in Dunedin NZ used to make the chocolates. Now they’ve closed down. Since Aussie now makes Cadbury, they taste like crap. Sorry. But I don’t care they taste like crap. You’ve ruined a classic box that didn’t need to be changed. The one flavour I loved is now gone. I’ve tried every single flavour of the new box. No way will I ever buy these again. Whittaker’s chocolate, Lindt, quality chocolates, Farrero, and even kinder chocolate have by far surpassed you BI...Read more
G time. They make the better product. ALL of them. So Cadbury, what are you gonna do about that? Because, in my opinion and by looks, most others too, those chocolates have all beaten you immensely in this competition!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Devastated..
Recently gifted a box of my all time favourite chocolates.. I just can't understand why they are no longer delicious soft centred goodness anymore?
They are awful, flavourless and just bland. Heartbreaking to see another childhood favourite ruined!
Don't waste your money on this old time fave... You'll be sadly disappointed.

Don’t Panic
When Roses changed their chocolates (not a fan of new ones at all) I thought that was it for me and chocolate. BUT then I tried Quality Street Chocolates and bam all my old roses favs wrapped like they used to be. Try them you will not be disappointed. They may actually be better than old roses.....

Wilted Roses
I haven't purchased Roses chocolates since they got rid of strawberry creams, marshmallows and the original peppermint - I was too upset and couldn't see the point. However, I was given a box for Christmas instead of giving them away I thought I'd give the new chocolates a go. I don't understand what you were thinking Cadbury in creating such inferior tasting chocolates? I could not finish one of the flavours. All were terrible in comparisons to previous selections and were so sickly they made me feel quite unwell. The packaging has taken all the excitement out of opening the original chocolates. It seems you don't know who your customers are at all.

What a shame!
Was so disappointed after buying our usual large box of Roses chocolates at Christmas! The flavours were different and the charm of opening a box of ‘real chocolates’ replaced by just another box of ordinary chocolates just like any other cheap version. The wrapping of the individual chocolates looks blah! The white raspberry flavour is so sickly - no one wanted it! Hazelnut was missing the whole nut and the original shapes had changed! In general a bad experience! Won’t be back for more next year - the tradition is dead! Together with your use of palm oil I’m out!

If it ain't broke...
I was given a tin of Roses chocolates for Christmas, having not eaten them since they changed a year or so back. I was hoping I'd remembered wrong, and that they were actually pretty nice. They weren't. Cadbury has really messed with a classic and ruined it.
They still have Turkish Delight, Caramel Deluxe (Caramello), Classic Caramel (soft, chewy toffee) and Classic Milk (solid milk chocolate), but the shapes are different. And the other flavours - Vanilla Nougat, Hazelnut Swirl, Peppermint Creme Crunch, Hazelnut Creme Crisp, White Raspberry a...Read more
nd Dark Mocha Nougat are all new. The old "Hazelnut Whirl," consisting of a whole hazelnut inside solid milk chocolate, is replaced by tiny chips of hazelnut in milk chocolate. The old "Peppermint Creme" is replace by a soft-but-solid green centre with chips of crispy peppermint. Neither of these changes are an improvement on the classics. The "Strawberry Creme," a heart-shaped chocolate with a soft pink centre, is gone altogether, which is a shame because it provided some balance to the box. It seems to have been replaced by the only other fruit flavour, the "White Raspberry;" old white chocolate with raspberry chips. I'm not sure why think we want tiny shards of crunchy stuff in all our chocolates. And while I love white chocolate generally, and can eat loads of chocolate without feeling remotely queasy, the "White Raspberry" chocs are way too sickly even for me. The Classic Fudge, my all-time favourite, is also missing, along with Cherry Ripe.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Different product same name
Cadbury Roses new flavours are terrible. New Roses are not what we grew up loving. No strawberry cream, no peppermint cream, no fudge, no cherry ripe, no hazelnut swirl. Without these flavours it ain’t Roses. I opened a tin I got for Xmas and no one in family wants to eat them. Cadbury should have left roses the same and created a different brand name for new flavours. I will not buy the new roses.

Absolutely disgusting
Cadbury's chocolate is now just horrible wax-like American rubbish. To top it all off they use palm oil too. So not only does it taste awful, it's also driving orangutans to extinction. Brilliant.

Roses Chocolates
Have Brought Probably 200 Boxes over my 53 Years as Presents... Have had Plenty given to me over the Years. I received a large box the other Day as a Present. I was like Yum. Opened the Box noticed the wrapping changed and hard to open. Liked the Luxury feel of twisting them open. Then I started looking for My Favourites.... Gone Then I realised I heard they had changed there products for a Younger Market. Well if that’s what they like You have Lost Me Plus my Family and All my Friends that have Brought Roses as a Staple in there Life. Someone has a Party take a Box of Roses. Now I will look At Other Chocolates ... Good Bye Roses... Where’s my Fudge, Mint Creme, Strawberry Creme, Marshmellow and Caramel!!!!

Very disappointed!
Disappointed & dumbfounded as to why Cadbury changed their original roses??? Why change a perfectly good combination of chocolates that’s been around for more than 50 years! Bring back the old roses with the peppermint & strawberry.

Well below standard
I bought a round tin of Roses as a Christmas gift for my wife. She is a big fan of Roses or to be more accurate was a big fan.
On opening she was disappointed to find her traditional favorites were either missing or so altered as to bear no semblance with the taste and textures previously enjoyed from a box of Roses. Simply put they were just "cheap and nasty" and smack of Cadbury having adopted a corporate philosophy of prioritising the dollar gained ahead of the product sold in exchange for it.
Well got us this time round, but will give it a pass hereon.

Why are the new Roses that are so unpopular still being made? Your sales would go through the roof if you changed back to the delicious originals!

I used to love Roses chocolates but won’t ever buy them again. I used to love the creamy centre but hate the ones they have now Booooo to Cadbury

Surely changing roses is a mistake. The decreased sales must reflect this. Why do you persist in marketing this woeful product? Nobody likes them.

Its a corporate tax write off. That way they can funnel the funds offshore without attracting ATO suspicion.

Cadbury to chocolate, is like Holden is to cars. They started out great, but both are dead and buried.
