Corporate greed
Carlton dry was my fav, till corporate greed took over, costs more for less beer and does not taste as good, kinda flat in my opinion and that stupid ring pull that occasionally breaks and also very sharp and dangerous. Goodby cub hello ted.

A great beer
Love this beer. This is my beer. Not keen on the pull tops, keep slicing finger. Please bring back screw tops.
January 6th 2022 Update: Pull tops
Used to the pull tops now. Great taste and always as usual the best beer. Have tried others but always go back to Carlton dry!

Ripped off
Who is the moron executive that thought (hey lets put a ring pull top on the bottle and reduce the bottle size and the amount of beer charge more and people will not notice) fire him and go back to what people like. Fair dinkum we're not idiots...

Bottleshop staff's Worst Nightmare
Working in a bottle'o all I keep hearing is ...why? Carlton Dry stubs were the second highest seller after Emu Export cans, now Great Northern mid stubs have taken that illustrious honor...yes, replaced by a mid strength...cause that at least has a proper bottle top! The new bottles are way too easy to accidentally rip open the top when restocking. Just a stupid idea all round. Listen to your customers CUB or you will loose them!

Bye bye BEER
Been buying this beer religiously for donkeys years and don't particularly dislike the ring top, but feel thoroughly ripped by the brewer by taking the 25ml off me. So bye bye Carlton Dry....

Ruin the cap, ruin the taste.
I've drank this beer with a passion for years. Now I lose half my stubby all over the floor wrestling with a stupid ring top designed for cans, pasted on top of a miniature glass stubby. It also tastes suspiciously watery. Me thinks they also messed with the contents while vandalizing the lid.
Good bye Carlton dry. Our long term love affair just got too hard.

Not the same
Smaller stubbies and doesn't taste the same, had some twist tops and new rip tops and definitely different. Going to drink something else not made by CUB to express my disappointment.

Carlton Dry ‘ring pull’
HA HA! Well done CUB, this one is going to cost you like your little VB stunt did. Xmas sales should paint a perfect picture

Great way to lose customers
The old simple twist action now has become a three part activity to open the bottle, which includes having to locate the ring pull in the first place, holding the bottle straight, as the pulling motion tips it to the side, and then trying not to cut your finger. My wife cant open them ! Then reducing the volume, what can I say, we are not stupid, we can see its smaller and want the regular size back. Dont fix what is not broke !

What a bloody rip off
How can CUB expect to keep customers when they reduce size of stubby by 25 ml and charge same price as well as put on a useless ring pull. They stuffed up VB and lost market share, now they’re doing it with Carlton Dry. I will be going elsewhere. Plenty of beers out there . You are a pack of money hungry fools CUB

Bottle top
The new bottle top on the Carlton dry stubbie is terrible!
Why make this change, as I can see someone cutting themselves on the bottle top?

Smaller bottle, same price
Pretty much what everyone else have been saying. I did love this beer, but now 330ml and with those stupid pull tops, i think its time for a change.

Tasted good but short changed
Carlton changed their bottle size when they changed screw top to tab top bottles. In a 24 bottle carton you get 1.7 bottles less for the same price. Retailer said ring Carlton and complain. Carlton said they do not control the price. Doesn't taste as good any more when being ripped off.

Terrible product
Alot of people seem to be cutting themselves on the ring pull also reducing the ml's and to top it off the ring will not always pull off leaving me to try and take off the rest of it will probably find another drink to find.

Was a great product, ruined by management.
I can only echo the other reviews (the two pages I read) and say - Big Mistake. Really. Huge.
Moving from the cardboard to shrink wrap was bad enough, but now you've gone back to the seventies (in a bad way) with the ring-pull tops. There is a reason they went out of style - they were dangerous! And the new bottles are like drinking passion pop.

carlton reps, you tried something that's not broke, jus what you broke it and I thin its to late to even try to recoup, the clip in sun days paper you try to explain, by saying you have to increase the price, what, 375 ml $2.50 joking. with saying that I have gone to another brewery. with 330ml bottles and ring pull, 100 carton a year for me and my mates. the question is what is in the future on carlton dry.
