A schonky deal with catchdeal/ jumpingtech
I bought an iphone 6 via Internet from Catchdeal, paid in full with my Master Card in December 2017 the phone was to be a Christmas gift to my Partner. The order stated that the phone would be delivered between 5 and 12 days because it was to come from their home base in the USA. phone from Australia Post Taree. A day later I received a note that a parcel had arrived at Old Bar P.O. for me to pick up. I went to see what it was. It turned out to be a parcel from catchdeal, I waited three weeks without the phone to arrive. From then on I had seco...Read more
nd thoughts about Catchdeal. I made inquiries over internet, could not phone them because they did not supply a phone contact, so I checked out any information on the internet. it didn't look good, Lots of complaints, so I decided to cancel the order and asked for a refund. since I had cancelled the deal with them I bought a phone instead at the P.O. in Taree. I informed catchdeal about the situation. However a day after I had cancelled the deal I got a note in my letter box that there was a parcel at the Old Bar P.O. to pick up I went to see what it was and surely enough it was from Catchdeal delivered to the wrong address. Since I had already cancelled the deal with Catchdeal, I instructed the Post Office to send the parcel back to sender. I did not get any info that a refund was forthcoming. I checked with my bank, they closed my account to stop anyone using my Master Card and supplied a new one. The company is know as TCF GLOBAL LTD with other misleading Names. This scam has still not been rectified.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Dishonest
Bought a so called Apple IPad, boxed and sealed. Had it less than 12months. It turned out to be counterfeit in every way. I only saved $50 on buying from a proper retail shop. After many emails and not being able to ring. I have heard nothing.

65 emails + 3 faulty phones before receiving partial refund
These guys are Definitely shonky. Have just read the posts below - my story is similar.
First Samsung stopped working after 5 months. Found out from a Tech the innards weren't Samsung at all. Numerous emails resulted in replacement phone which didn't work either. More emails and another faulty phone lands in my lap. $70 wasted in postage, let alone my time. Finally received refund - excluding my postage costs which they'd agreed to cover. But they deducted their own postage costs from refund.
Don't buy from these people. Talk with your feet and buy elsewhere.

Company staff members have no other answer than to return to IPhone for refund, what so that they can refurbish the phone again to some other person!! Catch Deal have no regard for the ACCC laws!! Please read the following from ACCC

Do not buy an Iphone from this company they are scammers
About a year ago I bought an Iphone 5s from CATCH DEAL. It turned to be a bad phone from start as the screen flickered. Just recently I received an email from CATCH DEAL saying they were willing to refund the money as the ACCC has put a case on them due to misleading information because the phones were actually refurbished and not new phones. They gave great amount of details on how to return the phone which I followed. Now that they received the phone they are asking me to remove the Iphone from my Icloud if not they would not refund my money ...Read more
(they did not specify any of this in the email). This is a total scam and I am following with ACCC. If I do what they are asking I wouldn't never get my money back and they could perfectly sell this phone again to another person....Please do not buy anything from them. I am willing to go to the bottom of this.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Wow... their communication skills and rudeness. Catchdeal bosses should really review their staff. Paying them to drive customers away. Go elsewhere. Dont waste your money.

Scammers selling broken second hand phones as new ones
Purchased a Samsung Galaxy S7 through them early 2017. It had American telco software on it, and the Camera and GPS were both faulty. When I returned the phone under warranty, they provided me with a "new replacement" - only the "new" phone was clearly second-hand with minor scratches and wear on the back, but more importantly was also faulty - unable to access mobile networks. I checked the IMEI (ID) of the handset and wasn't surprised to find it was sold in America a year ago and is no longer covered by Samsung's warranty. Not only have they ...Read more
lied about providing a new replacement, they've replaced a faulty phone with another faulty phone. My only possible explanation for all of this is that they're buying faulty handsets from overseas, supposedly making some ineffective attempt to fix them, and selling them as brand new items. Don't go anywhere near this company, they're breaking the law and their business model seems to be to scam people. I'd rather buy a phone off of Gumtree - at least then there's a *chance* it isn't faulty, and at least then it was probably an Australian model, unlike anything from Catch Deal. Have emailed about the latest fault, and will be going to the ACCC if the outcome is anything less than perfectly satisfactory.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Total Con Artists
I purchased an Xperia in December 2016. I bought from this company because they were based in Laverton Vic, so I thought they would be Australian. That may not be the case. The mic was always crackly and it finally died completely 7 weeks after the 12 month warranty was up. I took it to a repair company, who opened it up and found that, and I quote Microphone not working, Antenna non existent, Qi charging pad sticky taped to battery, Missing information pull out tab, Not an Australian 3g version It’s a 4g version for other countries." I contact...Read more
ed Catch Deal who said Please be advised that the phone provided is correct and as per our advertisement. We can also repair/replace the phone if there is any issue within the 12 months warranty. However, please be advised that your purchase is already over the warranty period, as such we won't be able to claim it under the warranty anymore." I contacted Vic Consumer Affairs and the ACCC who said to pursue it and told me what to write and to threaten a VCAT application. Catch Deal ended up refunding all but $163. Could this be because they know the cost of the VCAT application would cost about half this? That was my thought. In all, 30 emails were sent back and forth with this company before I got any money back at all. Definitely not happy with the service, I felt like I was being fobbed off as much as possible. If I could give them a lower star rating, I would!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Still waiting for a usable phone since 2016
Bought a Samsung S6 in 2016. The phone wouldn't recognize Oz nano Sims. Tried to return it but kept getting emails to do variuos things instead by sales support. None of them worked. Finally sent the phone back and ordered a Samsung S8 as a replacement. Paid the balance. And .. no phone arrived so far. And I'm out of pocket by over $900. Now the matter is with ACCC. Please stay away from this company.
Just letting you know that I received my full amount back from this company in May 2018.

Daylight robbery online
Mind-blowing that this 'business' is still allowed to operate. Absolute, blatant scammers that pull all the tricks to appear Aussie & legit but are anything but. Bought a phone 15 days ago that is still yet to arrive & having researched the company in the meantime, I'm convinced that even if it eventually does it'll be some sort of dud. Nobody gets back to you if you send an inquiry, no tracking number is provided; it's literally just a black hole for your time & money. Stay away and stick with Kogan or other more reputable suppliers.

I've never heard of this site before tonight. This is my 1st time purchase with you guys. I found the phone Samsung S7, with a great deal price. So without thinking too much, i made my order through your website. I did it all from the comfort of my bed on my phone with no dramas. Received the phone in excellent condition, however shipping time could be better. Other than that all quite good.

None delivery, fake tracking numbers and obviously no phone
Purchased on 26 December with email advising shipped 27 December. Website and confirmation emails all stated delivery by courier 12-14 business days. 23 days later I've been providing a tracking number that doesn't exist and requests to wait another two weeks! Yeah right. I'm not even sure the mobile phone that I purchased exists!!!
Footnote: the phone turned up on 19 Jan only to be a dud! Wouldn't turn on to start off with After many hours of charging it now turns on, all for about 10 minutes at the most before it shuts down. Turn it back on and it turns back off, turn it back on ... you get the idea.
My experience suggests stay well clear of Catch Deal!!

Go read all my posts, as I answer this. 1, Go read your rights under ACCC consumer law. 2 you will see that they must refund you in full including all your incurred costs like postage ( its law! ). 3 inform Catchdeal of your rights and file the claim. Catchdeal have outstanding ACCC enforcement and must carry out this, so also inform the ACCC of your issue. The ACCC can only inform you about the process. Catchdeal must by law fully refund you but however they do try to drag it out so you will give up. Don't give up, be firm know you rights. Remember they have been doing this a long time and the ACCC have orders they must comply too.
The trouble with all this Catchdeal and their many other alias names they use, still sell these rubbish phones from China. Read all my posts I explain where it all happens. They are never new and not ever Australian models and never will have Australian brand name warranty EVER!!! Google China refurbish phones.
I won, I got all my moneys back after they tried to delay tactics and never ending never answer questions in emails. I challenged them and kicked their a!!.

If you order a couple of things from Catch all in the same shop, do they send one package or individual packaging for each item?
5 answers
Don't know, I guess they would send it all at once, to save postage, I only ordered one item.
Have you not read any thing in Product review about Catchdeal or the other many alias names they go by?? All the ACCC enforcement rulings?? All the verified posts on their experiences?? WOW!! They tried to scam me then and I begun legal action upon them to enforce my rights under ACCC law for their scam. I proved my point and won. I even helped others here in their claim.
My experience with their postage was this, the tracking number did nothing at all, their time was incorrect for delivery, it took a long time to show up ( top it off the phone was Broken useless and so was the replacement after they tried to delay me with over 30 useless emails never answering my questions and requests) and they never answered any emails about postage/delivery times, or by whom is the carrier. The useless phone came from China a location near Shenzhen, google it XD
Hi, regarding Catchdeal, I wonder how long you waited to receive your refund from them? I purchased a product and it turned out to be a fake one. Go buy from them and learn the hard way XDD, go buy an phone not made for Australian net work, go buy a phone that is essentially second hand than this so called refurbished term, go buy a phone that comes with some ones else's problems, buy a phone with no! brand name Australian warranty ( you will be stuck with their endless, never answer your questions emails and delay tactics for any refund due to you ) and catchascam. I'll give them 10 stars out of 5 for outstanding work on how to scam sell useless broken phones. Truly outstanding work. But they fail when taken to court in this endeavour selling broken phones. I WON ALL MY COSTS BACK :P suckers :D
Hey
WHY Then is this still operating?
I have just purchased a dud have been emailing NO reply??
That's what they are so good at until you give up! Anyone these days can set up a internet sales sight so DO YOUR HOME WORK FIRST!
1. Do they have a real address?
2. Do they have a real phone number in Australia?
3. Did you Google their business name and read anything you find? (and you would have found this sight)
4. Did you use Google maps to go to street level and see the building in the address bar? and what did you see?
5. Did you read their email address?
6. Did you Google their ABN number? ( this will lead you to all their other names )
All this will not take you long to do and if a few min of your time is worth your money well...........
This will not take long to do, and after my experience I do all this now. There are 100's scam sights every where these days.
Go and file a charge back ASAP (Transaction Dispute form) and your Bank will refund you within 5 working days. Then inform the ACCC your issue and they will advise and register your complaint for future dealing with these scammers. If you used Paypal inform Paypal your ACCC rights and they must by Australian law refund you!!!
They will never stop as people are just always going to buy some phone if the deal sounds so good lol.
Remember so called refurbished is just a term for "old used broken phone ready for some sucker to buy"
I WON ALL MY MONIES BACK INCLUDING POSTAGE COSTS they were not happy, even got a QQ email from the scammers. They did try to delay me but I filed a charge back and that's when I got the QQ email from them "LOL"
Then after waiting some time I challenged them and forced them to pay all my other outstanding costs or face the Courts and all the costs they would be facing from that!!!
