Use Cetaphil... And wake up with new pimples every day.
It is very rare for me to get acne pimples since since 2015.. but thanks to cetaphil... it has filled my face full of pimples and marks... I wake up with pimples every day... it ruined my face...HOW CAN THIS BE KEPT IN DERMATOLOGICALLY TESTED CATEGORY?? and for the sake of god... please don't misguide users that it is suitable for every skin type.. it is being sold as a gentle cleanser.. Where it is tougher than necessary... and it smells like dust.. guys please don't buy this product..its useless..I don't know in what dire moment I decided to use Cetaphil cleanser...Now even if someone gives it to me for free, I am not gonna accept it.. this is such a bad product.

Please patch test before using the moisturising lotion. I did not and because it says hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive skin I confidently rubbed it on my body and just rubbed the remainder under my eye that had a dry patch. About 12 hours after this my eye swelled and my entire body was covered in hives and the next morning both eyes were swollen shut and the rashes were red and angry. Rushed to the doctors and I’m now taking heavy medication and I am unable to work. The rash has developed into angry pus filled blisters
I purchased this product as an alternative for QV and I will never stray again.
Burning,Itching,Redface!
I have been a long time user of Cetaphil. I was unaware they changed the product. Why tinker with an excellent product? When I started using my new bottle my face felt different but I continued washing my face with it.End result misery —-burning, itching and red face.I will never use this product again.
Outstanding - can’t get enough
I recently had the opportunity to try the Cetaphil Cleanser, and I must say, it's become an essential part of my daily skincare routine. I've struggled to find a cleanser that effectively removes makeup, dirt, and impurities while remaining gentle on my sensitive skin.
For the price point as well, it’s a no brainer - must have!

product has changed
"Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser" is, I guess, kind of like a box of chocolates. You never know what you'll get. One day, it's a smooth Belgian praline, the next it's a spicy jalapeno truffle. Surprise!
Clearly for Cetaphil the term 'Gentle' became a euphemism for 'let's play pinball with your skin's pH balance.' Woke up looking like a cherry tomato? Perfect icebreaker. Who needs predictability in skincare anyway?
Note to the brand: the face isn't a sandpaper enthusiast. Heads up next time?
All jokes aside.. for 2+ deades I've been using this
... Read more cleanser because it was the best (emphasis on "was"). A few times I've strayed, but always came back to it. Today, our journey together has come to an end as the product has completely changed it's ingredients with no warning. Essentially it's a completely different product under the same name. If I had known about the change I wouldn't have bought it - whatever happened to transparency? Sheesh. But you know, fool me once yada yada. Goodbye formerly gentle cleanser and thanks for the great memories. And I want my fourteen bucks back!Nor very gentle
My face instantly turns red when this touches it, I foolishly kept using once a day for a week and now my face is breaking out and dry crusty peeling. Probably don't try if you have sensitive skin

so i’ve been using this cleanser and buying it for over 4 years now and i know family who have used it for decades and i’ve never had a problem with it because it’s always been gentle on my skin and had a very pleasant and nice smell :)
but recently they’ve changed their formula and apparently it’s supposed to be “new and improved” but it’s terrible!!! It burns and irritates my skin now and it has such a foul smell. It smells almost like vomit or piss and like really strong chemicals. i’ve got sensitive skin so it took years for me to finally
Smells like dust and the pump is hopeless
Bought this to try as a comparison to another brand I have been using. It says refreshing smell, but I'm not sure if Cetaphil knows what refreshing is because all I can smell is dust. Also feels like a burning sensation after using. The pump doesn't go down and up properly. Needless to say I'm taking it back for a refund, and will go back to the other brand. Do not recommend.

I've just thrown out an entire 1.25ltr pump pack of this as it doesn't work. It wants to be a cleanser and moisturiser in one and so it fails as you can't strip impurities and hydrate at the same time. The glycerine leaves a slick film on the skin that needs to be removed with toner in order to apply a moisturiser of choice. It will NOT remove make up even if you wash several times in a row, as again the glycerine forms a barrier layer. It might be suitable for the body, but definately not the face.

Worst product I've ever used
So cetaphil wouldn't let me post this on their page. So ill post here..
I bought this product over a month ago as my skin goes dry in winter and I am an eczema sufferer. I've been using this product every night for two weeks straight and now my whole face is white and flakey and peeling all over the place. I purchased this to ensure all the moisture wouldn't be removed out of my skin when cleansing every night. I now have uncontrollable flakes all over my face and my skin for the most part is extraordinarily oily it doesn't make sense. Throwing this product straight in the bin.. My face has never been this bad even using cheap supermarket face wash....

This should be OK in dry and clean climate but NOT in Malaysia, it does a half-baked job of cleaning your skin and pushes dirt deeper. After a week you'll start getting clogged and infected pores.

Cetaphil SPF Moisturising lotion (Daily Defence)
I have been using these products for a number of years to control and calm my Rosacea. A few weeks ago I bought some new products and my skin has been terrible, hard red bumps, drying up but not healing, burning mouth. I thought it may be diet or stress. I decided to look to see if the ingredients had been altered, after researching then finding all these comments, I have my answer. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. It makes your face so sore and unsightly.

I used yesterday the new formulated gentle … Cetaphil cleanser.
Have been using the old formula with no issue and perfect results the last 10 years My skin turned all read and had terrible itch and redness.
Why after 74 years change a perfect product ?
At least they should give us the option to choose and maybe have two formulas available .
I read that a lot of consumers have the same issue .
The ingredients between the old and the new formula are TOTALY different so I do not know what is affecting me .
Will stop it immediately and try to find something suitable .
I am sure that you will quickly return to the old well tested formula .

Burns my face
Both my daughter and myself have used the lotion for years and years. One day with the new formula and my face is bright red and on fire! Why change a product that worked so well for those with sensitive skin??? I’m not sure what to do now
Questions & Answers
Has cetaphil changed the gentle skin cleanser. The colour is more of a pearl white colour and a lot thinner.
I think so. It's def a lot runnier than I remember since using it last. Think it changed late last year.
Yes it has. Before it was clear and now its looks like soap. Luckily I was stocking up and just brought one. It made my skin break out. Switched to Cerave' which has worked just as good as the old Cetaphil.
Thankyou for the reply, I agree as I was also stocking up ... as I do about every 12 months, had a little in the old pump and it’s definitely more soap / shampoo like and now stings my eyes... such a shame as I’ve been using it for about 15 years.
