La Roche-Posay Effaclar Foaming Gel 200ml 200ml
I am reviewing the above item.
I have been using it for 2 years now, the foaming gel has been great for me, it has cleared my acne, helps with my sensitive skin and really leaves my skin feeling clean.
Its the best foaming gel I have used ever.
I have tried other items in the range and all great.

Seven days is all it took! A loyal customer for life now.
So I'll just start by saying i never write reviews. I've tried every skin care product out there and recently began to use a one-step hemp and essential etc oil called Supple Skin Glow Oil that promised glowing clear skin. It did not work at all.My skin became rough and i experienced the most severe painful acne breakout accompanied with red spots all over my entire face and jaw (where I also put the oil). Blackheads and closed comedones suddenly covered my face in the 100s and my texture was ruined. I cried when I saw my skin in the mirror eac...Read more
h day. My confidence was shot. was desperate and decided on a whim to pick up the effeclar duo pack with the cleanser and effeclar duo. I'd read good reviews but had almost given up on hope after my terrible experience with a new product. I just realised today is only seven days after starting. My skin breakouts reduced by probably 85-90%. There are no pimples any more, everything healed very fast and my texture is flattening out and skin is starting to glow again. I finally feel like myself again. Even the red scars from one week ago are rapidly disappearing. This product is a miracle. It doesn't dry my skin out, I only use a oil cleanser, the foaming wash followed by the duo cream. Thank you so much La Roche Posay I will repurchase forever.Purchased in December 2021 at Chemist Warehouse for A$14.00.

Cleared acne-rosacea after years of corticosteroid use
I used a topical corticosteroid steroid cream (Advantan fatty ointment) for about 4 years on my forehead to get rid of some sort of itchy red dermatitis thing that first appeared at the time. It worked well at first but then I found myself applying it daily for YEARS. My skin got much worse and I would commonly get a rosacea type reaction with pimples and bumps. It transformed into this and was always there. I finally did some research and realised that it was all more likely a reaction to the steroid cream and not some permanent skin problem I...Read more
had. So I stopped the Advantan and started using Effaclar Duo every night before bed after washing my face with Envirocare Body Wash for sensitive skin. Most face products trigger headaches for me which is why I use Envirocare. So 2 weeks in and while my forehead is not perfectly clear yet, it is about 10% of what it was on the steroid. No more ugly bumps and no more pimples or intense red. Just some light patchy redness here and there that is very easy to cover. If I clean up my diet a little bit more I think it will be completely clear (chocolate and whole grains trigger it). So this stuff definitely works well but it does give me headaches about 30 minutes after applying it (thus the 4 stars and not 5). The headaches are not a deal breaker but it is there nonetheless. But I get headaches from just about any product so don't let that put you off. If you live in Australia, you can buy a $12.00 La Roche Posay starter kit for acne at Chemist Warehouse. Well worth a shot (I'm a guy by the way).Purchased in November 2021 at Chemist Warehouse for A$12.00.

Terrible ! Creates tiny transparent pimples
I started using it to clear my summer acne because my skin is more oily and i have more breakouts. It made it worse, creating more pimples that are tiny and transparent on top of my bad ones. My friend has the same results with this product so it s not just me.

Calming & Soothing
La Roche Posay creams are great for sensitive break out skin, they calm and soothe my skin for day 1, I especially love there cream and milk cleansers, no strong smells and certainly no reaction as some do even for a moment, I would highly recommend especially for people with sensitive skin

Great for acne
I've been someone suffering from acne and have seen changes in my skin since using this 4 months ago. Great for acne prone skin but definitely a little bit of a drying formula. Intensive moisturizer recommended

La Roche Posay 50+ BB cream
I have fair and sensitive skin and have found La Roche Posay sunscreen-BB cream just fabulous for my skin. It leaves my skin clear and smooth with no obvious residue or caked look. It does not exaggerate any lines on my face either. It acts as a moisturiser, sunscreen and light foundation all in one. I also found their mascara is terrific too, it does not irritate my eyes. I will be buying more of their products.

La Roche Posay Effaclar
I had this product as trial only (you know that tiny tubes), It feels light and did not have any pimple breakout unlike other tinted moisturisers that I've tried. La roche posay is used in my workplace too and I see dramatic improvements with our clients. It's pricey but it's worth it.

La Roche Sexy Pulp Mascara
I was after a mascara that makes lashes look thicker naturally, and wanted dark brown for the same reason. This comes in both colours, but I’v only tried the dark brown. The wand brush is amazing. It is uniquely shaped to separate lashes, with a rounded end coat colour on with precision. It’s especially great on my super fine lashes. Produces great curl, doesn’t smudge or flake, lasts all day and comes off easily with eye makeup remover. It’s not waterproof

Love This Product!!
I have been using this cleanser for a year and have repurchased it so many times. I have a very sensitive acne prone skin and this effaclar cleanser is the best for my skin. Not only it removes make up but also decreases tiny bumps around my forehead that I used to get every now and then. It’s a bit pricey than normal cleansers but definitely worth it!!

Cleanser and DUO+ gel
I didn't think that I would like this foaming gel after I read the ingredients list as there was absolutely nothing 'good' . But it calms all acne after long hours in the hot oily kitchen yet it is not drying at all. Skin feel like reborn and the crap pop right back down. Only halfway though. I have tried many facial cleansers and I am so impressed with this one that I wont try any other anymore. Also effaclar duo + does work to reduce the pimple process to a minimum but i still had to start antibiotics and treament. But for cosmetical purpose I would consider duo+ gel over tea tree....

Decent cleanser
I have very sensitive skin. The Effaclar cleanser is great for sensitivity. You will only need a coin size amount and this cleanser will take all your makeup off.
It is also frangrance free and non drying.
French drug store products are famous for being some of the best in beauty, and this cleanser shows that.
Would repurchase :)

Wow wow wow!!!
After years of trying all the skin care on the market, I was recommended by a Priceline skin care specialist to try this range.
I went to Priceline to ask about my troubled skin, this year my skin has been playing up with pimples and I could not get rid of them, and my face looked like dot to dot it was horrible, and my pimples were pink/red.
I bought this skin care La Roche Posay Effaclar, it was in a starter pack, the gentle foam wash and the moisturiser for pimples. I was scared to try it as I hate using new products I have never h...Read more
eard of on my face. I have been using it for 1 month now and its been fantastic, its really helped my pimples my face is nearly clear, and my dots have gone away, no longer can I see my pink dots. This is really refreshing for me as I am in my early 40's, I have had pimples on and off for a while. I remember the first time I washed my face with this wash and I stood outside and I could feel the breeze on my face it was so clean.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great product
I started using La Roche Posay products about three weeks ago and fell in love with the brand. The Effaclar foaming cleanser clears up imperfections quickly and effectively removes makeup. Personally, it has made my skin a little bit dry in areas with daily use, however it's nothing a good moisturiser can't fix. Overall, a great product!
Removes makeup, pH balanced, soap free, gentle
can dry skin out

Hi, I suffer from rosacea and I would like to try the anti redness serum. Does anyone know if you use this on its own or with a moisturiser as well? Thank you
1 answer
I tried it and didn't notice any difference. I do think the acne cleanser and effaclar is good....particularly after having run out of it, suffered a bit of an outbreak and (forgetting how sensitive my skin is) borrowed a friend's azclar... after two or at the most three washes my skin is red, dried out, inflamed. Getting me some of the La Roche Posey acne stuff tomorrow to try and calm down my poor face.

Try vitamin E cream and Bio-Oil for scars
I would tell her to go to a good dermatologist - the right type of oral contraceptive and short term use of roaccutane worked wonders for me. The La Roche Posay acne treatments are good, but won't work miracles on rampant acne. There are a good thing to use in conjunction with appropriate medical treatment, in my humble opinion.
