Seems to me that Electrolux have a standard reply to all complaints. Has anyone actually had any positive results from their complaints? Maybe we should go to Consumer Affairs because I still believe the oven gets dangerously hot.

Read more problem with them. But it was a several year ago so they were different models.I replaced mine with Smeg brand, first one short circuted as soon as plugged into power source (and yes we had to have our newly installed especially for the oven power source tested), but the replacement runs perfectly and finally after month of hassles we got there in the end.Got a standard reply that the stove meets Australian Standards! which is just a cop out when the stove is so much hotter than a much older but near identical model I I would suspect they do not whish...
Read more to admit to a manufacturing/design failure. Just a note that from memory, the guidelines for installation say a gap of 1cm in total is needed in the stove recess for this stove - many other different stoves have a reccomended air gap of 2cm on both sides!.How high should the oven flame be on ignition? Is it normal for the flame to be of uneven height across the back of the oven with one section reaching up to 10cm while the rest varying in height with some barely visible? Will the flame correct itself on further heating of the oven? I am hestitant to experiment with this as the stove is unfamiliar to me. The stove is in a newly purchased home.
I don't know if it's normal or not but mine is fairly uneven at first and then when the oven heats up
I can't tell if it's on or not, because the flame is barely visible. That's why, when it goes ou...
