Lots of space, cold temperature and no freezer box
We got this from good guys and it was reasonably priced. It was one of very few bar fridges without freezer compartment, which is usually a waste of space anyway. It fits neatly under the cabinet. It has space for 2L bottles in the door, plenty of space to keep beer, and any extra food during get togethers. It's pretty cold on setting 4 but its also winter in canberra. We will find out in summer. It's a neat little package for those wanting a bar fridge for bar purposes.
Purchased in at The Good Guys for $251.

Great little Bar Fridge at an awesome price.
The best thing about this Bar Fridge is that it is just a fridge. There is no chiller box taking up space. The back panel of the fridge is where it chills from. This means that it can get a little icy on the back wall now and then, but don't worry, it is minimal and it has its own drain/drip tray system that you never need to empty (the heat from the compressor when it is active evaporates it).
The one thing most, if not all 'Specifications' and reviews lack is, internal dimensions. So here they are:
Dimensions (approx):
Width: 350-460mm (dependent on area and molding)
Depth: 340mm (220mm in compressor area)
Height: 715mm (500mm in compressor area)
Shelves:...
Read moreThere are two tempered glass shelves that measure 360mm wide and 320mm deep. These shelves are height adjustable. You can make 3 even spaces or two smaller spaces top and bottom and a large (height) centre area... or two large spaces if you remove a shelf. There is another tempered glass shelf that sits above the included crisper and measures 360mm wide and 200mm deep. Behind this shelf is where the compressor sits and the molding is a little higher than the glass shelf, but can still be utilised for items. The supplied crisper is approximately 350mm wide, 190mm high and 190mm deep. I have removed it as I don't have use for it. There are three door shelves. They are adjustable and each is approximately 190mm deep and 410mm wide. As a depth comparison... a 2L Pepsi bottle is a tight squeeze. Temperature: The coolest part of the fridge will be near the back wall... the warmest part of the fridge is the door. Due to keeping medicine in the fridge, I needed to know its temperature range on each shelf in the main area as well as the door (and have plenty of wireless temperature gauges to test this). The top area's of both seem to be warmer than the bottom area's. Example if the dial is set to 4.5, crisper area and bottom shelf is 3.2°C, then the top shelves will be around 4.7°C and the door shelves range between 5.2 to 7.8°C. These ranges are tested overnight where the fridge remains closed for a minimum of 12 hours and readings taken shortly after the compressor cuts out. Obviously this will be affected by what items and how full the fridge is etc. But, the differences between shelves and door seem to be similar no matter how I lay it out or how full it is. eg it is always 2 to 3°C higher in the doors shelves. The temperature dial goes up to 7 so you will easily find a range that suits you. I just wanted to mention the difference for those of us who will store medicine in the fridge... it could cause some deadly issues. The temperature fluctuation between areas is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars. Recommendation: Keep drinks to the top and food to the bottom. If you are going to store dairy/meat in the fridge keep the temperature dial at a 5 minimum. Remembering the higher the number, the more electricity it will use. Other Features: The door is reversible. Out of the box, the hinge is set up on the right, so you open from the left. If you chose to, you can swap it without having to purchase a changeover kit. It has a light. This is the first bar fridge I have had that has one (unsure if it is a common feature as my last one of 15years didn't have one) Overall, the fridge is great for what I want to use it for and for a fridge of its size, without a chiller box taking up valuable space, you can't beat the price. In fact, the closest to this in other brands was $200+ dearer. The fridge came with a 3yr Manufacturer Warranty and 10yrs on the compressor itself.
