How to get rid of customers
I opened a Citibank savings account last year, with the intention of reorganising some of the financial services that I use. The savings account was fine, apart from a rather neurotic website (which appears to have been designed by two different teams, who didn't talk to each other). So I applied for a credit card, and that's when the fun started. My application seems to have been handled by Citibank's Practical Jokes Department -that's the impression I have of their appalling call centre. After 5 weeks of enduring the bumbling incompetence...
Read more of every Citibank representative I spoke to, with misplaced paperwork, repetitive requests for information that had already been provided, and stupidly ineffective "security procedures" I have withdrawn my request. And this morning I closed my savings account: the mere idea of having to deal with the Citibank call centre if I actually had a problem that needed rapid resolution filled me with dread. It will be a cold day in hell before I have anything further to do with any part of Citibank. There are plenty of other financial institutions vying for my business - I'm the customer that banks really want: a well paid professional with plenty of disposable income. I'm not going to tolerate the sort of nonsense that Citibank have subjected me to in the last month, and I advise anyone considering opening an account of any sort with this grossly dysfunctional bank to take their money elsewhere. Incompetent staff, bad procedures, complete failure to deliver anything useful
Terrible
I used to have an account with Citibank several years ago so I applied for a new personal loan at which time I gave my new address in the online application. I then faxed my utility bills and payslips as evidence and received the confirmation letter that I had been approved. I then called 2 weeks later to find out when I would receive my card and was told it had been sent to my old address from my previous Citibank account and activated by someone else. The account was cancelled and my address details were re-taken and new card re-issued, even ...
Read morethough I had already received the confirmation letter at the correct address. I called yet another week later to find out the second card had been cancelled because of the address change, even though I never changed the address, Citibank just sent it to the wrong address in the first place. After I proved who I was and was transferred 3 times, the security person said she believed who I was and offered to re-activate the first card that I had cancelled in the first place because it was posted to the wrong address. I lost my Car deposit and had no other options but to still wait for my card to arrive in the mail from what appeared to be a completely unorganised company. The rate. Completely unorganised systems All foreign telephone staff with poor reception so you can barely hear what they say. Poor security.- 15 reviews

Terrible
Their customer service can never provide the right service. Even you filed a complains they will just came back without any solution. It has inferior service, horrible attitudes and unwilling to help with their customers. Their internal operation should be under a seriuos review.
Absolutely nothing.
Absolutely everything! Especially their customer services.

Bad
If you want to use them to reduce the interest on your current debts - do but as soon as you've paid it off get out!
Easy application process - low transfer rates.
Wrong information goven by phone staff - then you're treated like an idiot for not knowing their processes and procedures. When you're a new customer the deals are awesome but over time they get worse and worse...
