Apply only on affected spot
YES - It makes your skin itchy. Red. Inflamed - IF - you use it all over your skin.
However, use as per label and apply only to the spot.
Reduction in inflammation, redness reduces immediately. Pimple reduced in size overnight.
Purchased in March 2021.

This product is too harsh!
I've been using the Clearasil Ultra range for almost two years now and haven't had any issues. However, last night was the first time I tried the Acne Treatment Cream, and honestly, the labelling doesn't lie, this stuff is most definitely "extra strength."
I don't have sensitive skin; I've used strong products on my face before, and I've never had an adverse reaction. This product, however, is an exception as it's far too strong. Even if you don't have sensitive skin, you should think twice before using this product because my face is currentl...Read more

RED, ITCHY AND FLAKY SKIN
I used this to clear up the occasional pimple- I don't have many pimples, but the occasional one will pop up on the chin or forehead. I used this product ONCE, and the results were disastrous. My face went red overnight and swollen, and stayed like that for about four days. This stuff is really strong, and my skin is usually not sensitive. Then the peeling and dryness came, and I didn't touch the product again. I don't recommend this product at all. Clearasil face washes also did nothing for me,

Does more than you think!
Didn't react well to my sensitive skin BUT does effectively remove warts! Yes you heard me, just by accident I discovered this. Must be the particular chemicals in it, but was very effective for me as a I had two small ones (on hand and toe) and after maybe a week they disappeared and haven't returned.

Not as good as the Rapid Action
I have been using the Clearasil Rapid Action Pimple Cream for several years with fairly good results - but last shopping trip decided to give the new 'ULTRA - Extra Strength' version a go.
This product, in comparison, appears to have little to NO effect on my acne at all. I did find the ingredients gentle enough to not burn or inflame my skin (which is an issue I have with most things containing Benzoyl peroxide) which is often a concern when selecting acne products - but for the 0 effect this appears to have, not exactly a point that will w...Read more
in me over. In addition to this, I notice that the ingredients in this product have a tendency to "split", and so instead of a cream coming out, a liquid accompanied by some clumped white product is produced. I am force to try to "mix" the tube and then squeeze it over a tissue or bin prior to initial use to actually get the "cream" consistency back. Will not purchase this product again at the expensive price mark of $16 for the little tube, and would rather sink that money into the Rapid Action that I know works. Gentle, Didn't irritate skin, Widely available Did nothing, ExpensiveSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Works for me!
I like it. It definitely reduces redness (as fast as over night for me) and the duration of my blemishes is decreased. Definitely need to use it sparingly, too much and it can cause irritation and will dry skin out a bit. It's very much a "spot" treatment only. Wouldn't use for large breakouts.
Reduced pimple size and duration
Dries skin slightly

Good
i needed a quick fix to remove a massive pimple the night before a job interview, it cleared my skin for the small pimples and the large one definitly decreased in size and lost redness, enough that it could be concealed.
it felt like it was working as soon as i applied it. It was tingling and made my skin feel very clean. It didnt iritate my skin or make it very dry like others i have tried. Rubs into skin well and doesnt have an awful chemical smell. will keep buying
quite expensive, almost $14 for a small tube.

This product really didn't have good performance. I would have expected it to treat pimples as the advertising suggests. I wouldn't buy it again and I thought it was a waste of money. Clean and clear was much better than this product
Readily available at the supermarket and chemist. Reasonably priced. Might be suitable for some skin types. Well known brand for teenagers with skin problems and acne.
This product did not seem to clear the pimples up at all. I found it dried my skin out alot. Other products at the same price range were better in helping get rid of pimples.

Good
It works well for me, but I've heard that it doesn't work well unless you don't have serious acne. Well, I've never had any serious acne issues.
Works well to clear up a couple of pimples quickly.
Dries up the skin if you use it alot.

I've tried a lot of acne products. While this didn't work for me in the past it started to help clear my skin when i used it after i cleansed with Cetaphil. I continue to use it as a spot treatment anytime i get a pimple come up. What i realised though is that this isn't suitable for cystic acne, all it will do is dry out the skin around it.
This worked for me when used after cleansing with cetaphil
Expensive for a small tube. If it gets on your clothes or towels or anything will stain/get bleach type marks.

This cream is not worth what you pay for it. If you are experiencing your first pimple, then this might be the right product for you. But if you have REAL ACNE then don't bother, it wont do anything.
If you have EXTREMELY mild acne, it can clear it up.
It does nothing!!!!!

OK
i bought this for my partner who suffers mild acne to use in conjunction with a clearasil daily face wash. It was about $11 and is in a very small tube but you only use a minumal amount each day. His face does seem to be clearer so something is working. however i can not be sure if it is the wash or the treatment cream or the combination of both. this product is harsh and drys skin out so i wouldnt recommend it for people with sensitive skin.
lasts a long time
is expencive. not good for sensitive skin.

Like its predecessor (regular acne treatment cream), I find this product very distasteful and would not buy it ever again! So not worth the money.
There is absolutely nothing I fancy at all about this cream.
The smell of the Clearasil cream is revolting. The cream itself has virtually no effect at all when it comes to clearing my pimples. All it does is dry up my skin. When I apply it during the night and go to bed and accidently rub my face during the night, I noticed the next morning, white flakes all over my pillow. That means the cream was not absorbed into my skin and all it did was just clog up the skin surface. Horrible product!

CRAP - don't use it, unless you want to look pimple free but with burnt skin that just peels off in layers.
It burnt the crap out of my skin and now I look like I have been in a house fire, used the product according to directions and it got rid of te pimples but my skin is all burnt and it is still as bad a week after not using the product.
