Waste of money
CLR is absolute garbage and doesn’t work. Got calcium off shower head with steel wool and small nail. Rust still as bright as it originally was. Expensive waste of my money and my time

Does NOT do as claimed in the adds
We left a metal mosquito coil holder on a painted concrete fence during a rainy period. It left a series of rusty circles on the paint. CLR was a total waste of money and so expensive. Rubbed, scrubbed, soaked many times over a period of days. Rust ring still in perfect rusty condition. I will cover with a pot plant. CLR should be held accountable for their totally misleading advertising.

Too much Hype
If a stain is just barely starting to show clr will clean it off but also just a damp cloth with plain water will do the same. This CLR is crap and is way overpriced and overrated!!!!

Rubbish
I tried on the kitchen sink. It’s totally useless. Waste of money and false advertising. My brown scale did not shift at all. Why are they selling this crap stating that it works. I’m not happy at all

I guess this depends on what you are using CLR for
Great product for cleaning the kettle, office drinking water fountain, dishwasher and washing machine. Tried it three times on a shower head with mixed results.
For what i need done its fine. Just be careful when using it in the kettle as if not 'flushed' properly there is a nasty residue and aftertaste.

Crap
It does very little. Biggest scam I ever saw. They should be sued for false advertising. I've tried it on multiple occasions and it doesn't work. This product should be banned.

Didn't Work On Rust Stained Toilet
Selling house. Toilet bowl has some rust stains at the bottom interior (you can imagine what this looks like to potential home buyers). Followed directions precisely. MAYBE the stains were a shade lighter. Trying it again, but longer...hopefully doesn't ruin the porcelain. Tried CLR 25 years ago, thought I'd give them a second chance. Lesson learned. No third chance will be given 25 years after today. I'll be dead.

Vinegar worked better than this rubbish
Used to remove built up lime in the shower...I followed instructions and reapplied a few times with no result whatsoever!
I then used vinegar to get it off and this was more effective than that other rubbish.

My life is compete
I have just cleaned my ex rental property and what was taking me days to finish until a friend bought over some CLR. I had the floors, walls, yard done in only anfew hours ... I now use it religiously in my everyday cleaning... It has saved so much time and work .. Downfall is its a tad expensive..but I'm happy to pay for something that gives such great results ...A +++

CLR Bathroom and Kitchen action cleaner.
I had bad (what I expect are called) hard water deposits on the shower screens and tiles in a rental property. This property is 7 years old and has had two tenants during that time. The build up on the smooth porcelain tiles and glass was impossible (so I thought) to remove by normal means so I saw an ad on tv that addressed my problem specifically so I thought CLR was the answer. I had not used CLR before because of the cost. After 4 applications of the product in accordance with the directions on the spray container nothing had changed. There was no indication that CLR had any effect on the build up at all.
I have managed to remove the problem by using Ozclean Shower power a scouring pad and 1 1/2 hours of scrubbing each individual tile.

False advertising.
Tried this product on shower head as per instructions and made no difference whatsoever.
Used on rust spots and didn't even look at it.
I can't understand how this product can be marketed the way it is, I will be returning to Bunnings for a refund!

is CLR safe to use as an everday floor cleaner(tiles) if I rinsed with fresh water mop after ??
1 answer
Unless you have mineral deposits from hard water on your floor, there would be no good reason to use CLR like that. You might get away with it, or it might leave marks. Other products would work better, and cheaper.
