I have setup a commonwealth bank account with netsaver just for the purpose of my home loan. The fess were reasonable as I have a debit card free of charge. I like to think that is an edge over anz bank. The down fall of this net saver is that the transactions shown are not up to date. I hope they can improve on this as it is not a bad facility.
Is free, good reasonable interests. For some who dont need a full bank services this would be good enough.
The updates on transactions are not real time and takes a while to process unlike ANZ.

The Commbank Netbank Saver account is great for those who understand internet banking although it does not offer a mobile internet service yet. You cannot deposit directly into the account at the bank, but you can get around this easily at bigger branches which provides computers with a connection to the Netbanking site. I recommend this product to those who are looking for high interest without commitment.
high interest for a non term deposit account, easy to use and understand, no account keeping fees
the netbank saver account is only managed online by the account keeper, so you cannot deposit directly into the account at the bank.

good once you understand it but frustrating to learn how to operate as people on helpline sometimes fail to give clear AND COMPLETE DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO USE
convenient for trades and earning interest at the same time. good once you know how it works. interest rate quite good, help-line good
help-line delays go on and on for ages. took me ten calls at least to get my share account and banking passwords sorted out often helpline people failed to give all information needed in one call. confusing to use as ID from my old comsec trading account still operates the new accounts. took me ages to work out i had two accounts and how you need to work these together

It's great for early hours in the morning or late at night if you want to check your balances and can't be bothered to find an ATM. Net bank lets you check how much money you have, pay bills and transfer money. However my 17 year old niece was trying to set net bank up so she could transfer her pay cheque into a savings account and it wouldn't allow her without bank authorisation, at first it was a hassle to get but it worked in the end, i guess it was all a matter of security which we should be thankful for. The commonwealth is a good bank to keep your money
It's really helpful to check your balances
Hard to get started if you're under 18

NetBank Saver almost always offers lower interest rate compared to other pure online savings account, such as ING Direct Savings Maximiser. The good thing, if you transfer the cash from your NetBank Saver to your CBA Streamline account, the funds immediately available for withdrawal. Therefore, I put my money in other online savings account and keep minimum funds for emergency in NetBank Saver.
Funds transferred out to the linked CBA transaction account are immediately available for withdrawal. No fee.
Not an independent online savings account, you need to open another transaction account with CBA before you are eligible to open a NetBank Saver account.
Interest rate is not as high as other pure online savings account.

The net bank saver is a really good option for anyone of any age realy, i got it as soon as i started working and its good for the point that you can take your money out anytime you need it. It's better than having a whole lot of cach on you.
I dont have any dislikes about it to be honest.
