Yummy but heavy

published

It tastes great and as it is very sweet kids tend to like it. But a bit too sugary for my taste and too heavy for an everyday end of meal...

There's no other yogurt as versitile as Bornhoffen

published

This is a great yogurt for adding to savoury or sweet recipes. And because I'm not racist and misinformed I am happy to hear it is now Halal certified.

I'm Disappointed!

published

I have been looking for this product for quite some time - but have been unable to find it in Queensland. Having read your reviews, firstly of the recipe changing and secondly now being Halal - I will now stop looking for it.

I no longer buy it as it is halal certified. Apart from that it tastes very bland with the new recipe.

Need MORE Bornhoffen Yoghurt

published

I love bornhoffen yoghurt........I eat it for breaky everyday.......However, i go through it like lightning.......As it only lasts me about 4-5 serves......I would love to see them make a bigger size......I would love to see a 2 kg container as it would last longer and i wouldnt have to drive to the shops just to get another one.

This is my 2nd request to the company......So hope they start listening.....

The Most Authentic Yoghurt

I developed a love of well made Yoghurt while staying with relatives in the Greek part of Cyprus. Bornhoffen is the only Yoghurt among the many I've tried that are available in Sydney that can compare with what I got used to in cyprus. In fact it almost matches it.
My local supermarket has just discontinued it, so I'm going elsewhere.

New recipe a failure

published

I've always loved Bornhoffen natural yoghurt and bought about tubs a week, but along with a packaging redesign, Dairy Farmers have changed their recipe and taken out a lot of the natural tangy flavour. I'm very disappointed and will change brands to Farmers Union.
New packaging is not bad
Flavour gone!

New Recipe a Flop!

published

I did absolutely love Bornhoffen yoghurt until they changed the recipe and took out that classic bitey flavour and made it taste like plain cream!

Bring back the accidopholus!

Please bring back the original recipe!

published

I used to love my Bornhoffen yoghurt. It was the only yoghurt with loads of flavour and that delicious tang. But the new recipe is just bland and boring and oh so disappointing. I don't understand why you would change something so good and so unique to something so unremarkable. Please, please, please change it back! Almost all the yoghurts that I used to rate as far below Bornhoffen will now outrank this awful new recipe. If this new recipe remains, I will no longer be buying Bornhoffen.

Very bland flavour, too thick and heavy, not enough acidity, not the way it used to be!

What happened to the wonderful acidofilus Bornhoffen?

published

I used to love Bornhoffen yogurt. When I first bought a tub of the new recipe I thought it was off or a bad batch. I was very disappointed when I found out the bland taste was here to stay. Please bring back the old Acidophilus recipe!!! I used to be one of your most devoted customers but I don't think I will be buying Bornhoffen again.

Very disappointed,

Bring back the tangy original

published

Why on earth changes were made to the distinctive taste of Bornhoffen I will never know.Very disappointing, it's now just like all the rest. Bland.
Bring back the tangy original before it's too late.
If you think there's not a large buyer base for the product why don't you advertise it for it's difference.
Thought the original tangy product was excellent for eating, cooking etc.
The recipe has changed.

My daughter won't eat any other yoghurt

published

After trying just about every brand of yoghurt on the market, I finally found a yoghurt that my daughter will eat. We love the tangy taste. The yoghurt remains creamy in texture and doesn't go lumpy and watery like many others on the market.

The Best, in every way.

published

I am not really a yoghurt person, but not only is this yoghurt great, it is the best for your insides. I use to live in NSW 25 years ago and had the Cherry and Apricot sent to me each week from Qld as we couldn't buy it down there, now I am in Qld, I can't find the fruit yoghurt, Oh, how I would love some Cherry, so yummy.
It is satisfying, and the taste is just great, so creamy, just the best for the whole family.
Can be expensive, and not very easy to find in stores, fruit verities very hard to find.

Bring Back Bornhoffan Acidophilus Strawberry & Apricot Yoghurt in smaller tub size

published

We want our favourite yoghurt returned to the supermarket shelves. Bornhoffan Acidophilus Strawberry & Apricot in snack size tubs. This yoghurt has health benefits as opposed to all the sugar loaded lolly yoghurt that is the only choice available on supermarket shelves nowdays. Please bring back the good quality yoghurt we grew with.
Not sickly sweet, has health benefit of encouraging good bacteria growth in the body, Like the packaging as it is easily identifiable among other yoghurt brands.
I want to be able to purchase the snack size tubs of Strawberry & Apricot flavours of Bornhoffan Acidophilus Yoghurt.

I grew up on Bornhoffen yoghurt and loved the tangy flavour. We used to be able to buy the strawberry flavour as well. Delicious! Is it available in flavours and where can I get it?I remember buying it in a big family size tub too. Pity that isn't available anymore. Oh for the good old days!

Why is this review here with 5 stars recommending the old tangy yoghurt that no longer exists? The new bornhoffen is terrible, everyone is rating it very low.

I used to buy this often but due to the inconsistency with the yoghurt I stopped purchasing it. I think they need to rethink the packaging i's flimsy and the lid doesn't seal well once opened.
good quality yoghurt. Tasty.
flimsy packaging.
Inconsistancy, sometimes it really good, other times it isn't

For months now, I was under the impression that it was the supermarkets that didnt stock Bornhoffen Acidophilus Yoghurt anymore. But only today after reading other reviews, did I realize that it has been discontinued??!!!
Never have I been so disheartened at the discontinuation of a product :( Since my mother introduced our family to this pure. sugar free and delicious yoghurt years ago, I have never consumed any other. And since I changed brands, due to to not being able to find Bornhoffen on the shelves anymore, I have given up trying to find a replacement brand....because there just ISNT ONE. I mean, if anybody knows of a yoghurt that has the exact bacteria and ratios as Bornhoffen yoghurt, would you kindly post a review to let me know?? That yoghurt is the ONLY yoghurt that actually heals severe IBS symptoms, and keeps bowels healthy and regular. Every other brand only makes symptoms worse wirh even MORE bloating. What can I do or how much do I need to pay, in order to get this product back on the shelves?? I am even willing to pay much more than it was initially priced for, and would do anything to promote it!! WHY stop producing HEALTHY for other companies to sell disguised sugar with pretty packaging??!!

ATTN ALL BORNHOFFEN LOVERS: I rang Dairy Farmers on 1800 677 852 to confirm that because of lack of demand they no longer make this product. We know that the big supermarkets manipulate the market and have been putting it on the bottom shelf for ages before it disappeared, citing lack of demand. Please ring Dairy Farmers (they dont keep your waiting long on the phone - maybe 5 minutes) and request that they begin to make the product again. They need to know there is a demand for the best yoghurt. Email them constantly and let's get that product back into production. Ask at Woolies and Coles and IGA every time you go there. Ring them, email them .....let's get production going again. Inundate Dairy Famers with calls, emails, letters, personal visits etc.

I had a response from Dairy Farmers who said if there was enough interest they would look at reinstating product of Bornhoffen Yoghurt. Please keep up the pressure on Dairy Farmers/Lion

I am really upset that the healthiest yoghurt in its pure form and also the best-tasting - has been replaced with so-called yoghurts that contain sugared and carbohydrate (eg rice flour) additives. Its the corollary to soft drinks versus water. Why do we have to flood the market with cheap and nasty inferior products?
