Please be warned Damprid Ruined 4 pairs of our Leather Shoes
Damprid Ruined 4 x pairs of our leather shoes and boots. Our shoes are unrepairable, all we can do is bin them. We have lost over $800 worth of really good shoes. We are completely shocked and devastated. Our shoes have dehydrated and actually petrified, we have never seen anything like this. Consumers should be warned, this is so negligent of this company, we are really upset about this.

This review is for the damp rid
Never had a problem with the Damp Rid. I put mine into the cupboards and empty it every time I see the water. The mould and dampness doesn't exist any more. Mostly I use them in closed spaces as it is so humid in Brisbane. Have tried other brands and Damp Rid is the best

Don't buy
Like the reviewer before me, I had some hardening of the crystals at the top. I should be emptying water out regularly as my bathroom is very moist as it has no window.
I complained to Bunnings and they said maybe it is not fit for bathrooms - despite the fact that the label says it is where you use it. In the end they said to return it.

bad batch?
So I have been using these for a while and they work really quickly as I have a very moldy/dewy/moist room and so I bought some more and put them in my room and its been ages and nothing has happened. The very top layer of crystald have gotten a bit wet and is rock solid and there isn't even a drop of water in the bottom. Its like the top layer of crystals have sealed on top and separated the dry crystals from the moisture in the air... ? Anyone else had this problem?
