Horrible Horrible and Just horrible, worst company on earth
Slowest shipment ever, worst customer service, never taking notes on review of customers. If someone ever order from here is on his own risk.

Great prices, 100% reliablity for me, worth the wait
I have bought nearly 20 small items through DX over the past couple of years and DX has always come through with the goods at great prices. Delivery times vary from two weeks to just over a month, but that is typical for Chinese sellers offering dirt cheap prices and shipping that costs nothing. Last week I used the AU-direct site of DX for the first time to buy a tablet. I always pay more for a courier and tracking number on big ticket times, and at only $5 more than the regular DX site, it seemed well worth it. I ordered on the Tuesday and it...Read more
was shipped with a tracking number the following Monday, and in my hands today on the Wednesday. Amazing delivery (six business days plus a weekend) and the tablet is fantastic, even more so the price. Reliability remains to be seen, though at least I can post it back to Sydney, not China, if something goes wrong. What you have to realise is that DX (and ebay and most China-based online retailers) are resellers for smaller retailers, who ship it to you. You get the item delivered at incredibly cheap rates because they spend next to nothing on lousy shipping than can sit at the docks for weeks. DX doesn't have your parcel, never did, and if the seller (or shipper) is unreliable, DX has to hassle them, while you wait. Not good, but for me, it's worth the risk for the incredibly cheap prices. The only way to go is Paypal, and to make sure you launch a dispute well within the 45-day limit if something goes wrong. Personally, I just buy and wait, and orders have always arrived eventually. Forget buying at busy times like xmas and Chinese new year, and just chill. I know one day my parcel won't arrive or they will stuff up the order and I'll have to hassle for a refund, but it won't stop me buying from Chinese sellers at those prices, and DX has been great for me (touch wood).Similar opinion? Dishonest
Purchased PS3 controller for $15.09. Free shipping and tracking code for orders over $15. Quoted 7-10 days delivery.
Didn't arrive, contacted company as shipping code invalid. Told I don't have a code and order will be 6 weeks. No further responses. If item arrives I will update, but as yet, nothing.

I paid for my order and never received it. After numerous emails back and forth this company did not help!
Ref: 2ce206c12d5c40d5b822c572283a0d4f
I placed an order for a camera battery & followed up with them approx 10 days later on delivery status (they said to keep waiting). I contacted their service department again some time later and was told again to keep waiting 8 more days to see it will arrive. After another considerable time waiting the company sends me an email stating that the file is ...Read more

Chinese New Year
I've bought flashlight from these guys years ago, no probs. A recent attempt to buy a Chinese smartphone from DX went sideways...chat stopped working after I paid, the local Aus number never worked, a call to the "English speaking" HK number gave me a Chinese voice mail. Out of frustration I got a refund via paypal...but to be honest, i didn't realise Chinese New Year really stopped things for so long.
I ordered from Fastcardtech, probably the worst of the bunch, and my phone is finally on the way. I would suggest 2 things:
- when buying from...Read more

Avoid at all costs
Ordered some flashlights and batteries with expedited shipping. After 10 days I was told (when i opened a ticket) that packages didnt pass the security check because of batteries and were on their way back to DX. DX promised to reship them using regular post (no refund for change of shipping method promised) once they returned to DX.
Guess when they reshipped my items? 5 days? NO. 10 days? NO. Maybe 20 days? NOOOO!! Attention please - it took DX.com 49 days to reship after their own mistake.
But you willl never believe me when i'll t...Read more

Credit card fraud
Someone made some unauthorised transactions on my credit card after I used it to order from dx.com. I don't know if they were hacked or they sold or used my number themselves, but from memory they claim not to store credit card details. The transactions were for a mobile recharge in Atlanta, Georgia, and apps from AppBuy.com and ArmorForAndroid.com.

Caveat Emptor
One must only purchase trusted brand names from this organisation and be prepared to wait two to three months to take delivery. If items are found to be defective they provide an Australian address to return goods. You always should ask for a refund on the goods and never a store credit. If by chance you succeed in getting a refund it takes a lot of arguing and six months. Avoid and only use as an absolute last resort. Most of the stuff they market is of very poor quality as has been my experience.
Lastly, communication is non existent.

Worst Dealer that I have had to deal with
I ordered a Canon battery in Mid September. I am still waiting on it. The site uses a series of delaying tactics "wait a few more days", "We will resubmit your order under a new order number", "please visit our site for more info" etc etc

Never Buying from here again!
I have never waited so long for a product and refund. used to buy small things from this site and find it great but NEVER again. Firstly my order never arrived and they told me to wait longer. I waited a month before contacting them again. They then told me it was returned to there shop. I asked them to send it again, after they said yes they then came back and said they were sold out and were not getting anymore. At this same time another product I had ordered (a doorbell) arrived broken and I asked for them to send another one. It was the sa...Read more
me story as previous. They had sold out and could not send an equivalent. After 3 months and A LOT of back and forth I finally received my refund for the first product. Meanwhile they wanted all sorts of product information about the doorbell before they would action anything. I have asked to speak to a manager on several occasions and they will not provide details. They have told me on 3 occasions now they have sent the refund. Too bad its not in my paypal or bank account. After 7 months I am at a loss as to what to do, but will be assured I will NEVER use this site again. WORST SERVICES EVER!"Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Discusting
I dont know where these guys get off, but i brought what i thought was a genuine lenovo mini wireless keyboard with trackball.. When it arrived, it was a cheap immitation, even where the lenovo serial number would normally be, just had a silver strip instead of number.
This product is clearly fake and has been sold as genuine. Stay away from these people, they will scam you!

Solar Water Pump - Undelivered
Ordered a solar water pump, never received the goods, after numerous attempts to have the pump delivered. Got sick of waiting and sick of the comments in their emails saying to please be patient for another 3 days, and then saying that same thing over and over. I suggest if you want to buy anything, try another site, do not purchase from this company. Paypal have resolved this complaint by returning my money.

The only thing extreme about this site is the frustration.
“I wish there were Black Holes instead of stars, they would get 5 of those. 4 weeks and still waiting. The shipment keeps getting resent over and over because it contains lithium batteries. I asked them just to cancel it but no way. English comprehension seems to be very poor. Also, items you order may be unavailable but nowhere is this indicated on the web site and they certainly take your money at the speed of light. Looks like I will have to launch a dispute claim through Paypal. This is one site to delete from your favourites in the browser.”

2 months and still waiting for the product to arrive
Bought item two months ago and I am yet to receive it. Initially they said they had troubles with custom because the item had Li-Ion battery. The rest is history. By the time we get the baby monitor our new born babies will be at uni.

Perils of purchasing Li-Ion 18650 Batteries via DealExtreme
How hard can it be to ship Li-lon 18650 batteries to Australia, air freight issues again with airline security. Received email to advise delay and batteries resent via different freight method and six weeks later opened ticket about non delivery and tracking number not active, looked harder tonight to discover conflicting response about batteries not sent and would I like my order reshipped. Cannot recommend this company as a reliable supplier, my first and last order. If your require 18650 batteries I would order from the USA, Australia and some Ebay suppliers, never had any problems.

Appalling service!
I had my first dealing with Deal Extreme over 9 weeks ago. It has been terrible from start to, well, to termination. There was no end as I didn't receive my tablet that I ordered. First, they had problems with shipping the tablet because it contains a battery so it was returned to them within the first fortnight (it took them a week to despatch it!) - one would've thought that they'd know about this. Anyway... They apparently re-sent it via a different method. To cut to the chase, 5 weeks down and still no delivery, so I contact them and receiv...Read more
e in response what was to be their standard (probably automatically generated) reply, which was to ask me to wait "a few more days". So this was the pattern of their responses for the next 4-5 occasions. Luckily, I had filed a dispute with PayPal and eventually received a refund, but it took some 3 weeks to get the refund though, the time it took PayPal to investigate, obtain responses, etc. Please don't ever deal with this company - it appears that their goods are sent (or not sent) from China - and you'd be very lucky to receive your item. Customer service is ridiculously appalling and non-responsive. Buy from elsewhere and don't let these characters take your money.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
