Good toaster

Absolutely disgraceful
Icona CTOV4003 (4 Slice)On the average setting of 3-3.5, toast comes out burnt every single time.
Any less than 3-3.5 and it barely cooks; there’s no in-between. After 3 years, I’m sick of eating sh*t toast and have upgraded to a Smeg. Can’t wait to get rid of my DeLonghi.

Icona CTOV4003 (4 Slice)I wouldn't normally bother writing a review of something as mundane as a toaster. However this particular appliance has motivated me to share my thoughts.
As a toaster it's actually very good. It toasts evenly, fits large slices and the browning dials with their gauges are accurate, consistent and very pleasant to use. And it looks very stylish.

It feels like the DeLonghi design department finished the aesthetics and then went home early on Friday afternoon without bothering to actually think about how to clean the thing. I mean, it's a toaster - they get messy! So if you're the sort of person who likes spending ages fiddling around getting crumbs out of their toaster - go for it! If you're like everyone else on the planet and have better things to do I suggest you look at a different machine.
As an ornament, it works. As a toaster, it doesn't.

To say it toasts unevenly is an understatement, one side dark brown/black the other side light brown/white. I sincerely wish we had chosen a cheaper model and importantly, read reviews before purchasing. This is the first DeLonghi product we have ever bought, and will be the last.

Worst Toaster Ever!! Fire Hazard
Icona CTOV4003 (4 Slice)We were given a 4 slice toaster for Christmas 2016 and one week out from end of warranty (12 months) it decided to trip our safety switch in the house. We returned it and got a replacement one under warranty. The replacement toaster has burnt out and tripped the safety switch within 3 months of use.
Rubbish product and so expensive!!! Do not buy. Go for a trusted Brand like Breville, Kambrook etc.

Icona CTOV4003 (4 Slice)Selected this toaster as a replacement to a faulty RH toaster as it fitted in well with the kitchen design and Delonghi has quite a good reputation in Europe. Does it toast as good as it looks? NO-NO-NO! Just like some of the other reviews seen, one side of the toast is black and the other white, Whacko would be proud of it but I certainly am not! Recently it has decided that it wants to be a jack in the box with toast ending up on the floor on some occasions, at least the pooch gets brekky I guess. Thinking to take it back and assess other options. $110 not well spent!

Toasts really badly, temperamental
Not what I expected.
Icona CTOV4003 (4 Slice)20 year old toaster finally gave in, she had been a good worker. Saw the DéLonghi, and thought it was the bee's knee's. Looks great in the new kitchen and that is about it. Very inconsistent toast. I like mine toasted to a good nut brown. Without changing the setting I get anything from total anaemia to Kiwi Dark Brown.

Icona CTOV4003 (4 Slice)Talked my wife into paying the extra as I was sold on the looks. I have had the same problem as others. The right side of toaster stopped working after about six months, the lever failing to hold down and toast. Also bought the matching electric jug at the same time which also stoped working after about 4 months. managed to get a replacment jug. got sick of the toaster only working on one side so the toaster went into the bin.

Both toaster and jug failed after short time.
You could have got refunds or replacements under warranty..?
