Excellent little saw
I've no woodworking experience so this is review from a hackers point of view.
I bought this saw.after 1st buying and returning the $200 ozito death machine.
Had a look at the next step up, Ryobi (not too bad and better than the Makita IMO for the price) and the the Makita for $650 but the rip fence doesn't lock at both ends so can move during a cut. Ended up shelling out the $850 for the Dewalt and couldnt believe the difference in quality. Fence locks both ends as is on rails that move with precision, unlike any of the cheaper models.
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR WITH THIS TYPE PRODUCT!!!
For the safety aspect alone, this saw leaves the others for dead!
