Dick Smith USB Headset was ok for the first few months

published

I purchased this because it was, well, cheap. It is good for listening to streaming radio and news, but not for music or gaming. There's not bass, it's not clear, the ear muffs (there I said it) have weakened and the fake leather is very fragile to touch and sticks to my ears. The underside that sits on your head is still ok but, essentially it's in the bin which to me with a student budget, is disappointing. I tried to post this on their website but it got knocked back, go figure.

You need to make sure that your recording device is set to the microphone via right clicking on the speakers and going to recording devices; setting default and selecting the usb microphone. TBH, I don't like the headset. I'm using a Plantronics 628 headset that has a better microphone, I added cushions and ear pads from eBay as a custom headset. Hope it works for you.
