So in love with this model!
A fabulous wash, easy to use, quiet operation. I cannot fault this washing machine. Clothes are washed beautifully. You need to categorize loads, light colours with similar, etc. Follow manufacturers instructions and you will get a great wash. Just love my new machine!
Purchased in August 2021.

This machine is ruining and ripping our clothes, towels and bedding!
My family have had Fisher & Paykel appliances for over 20 years and have always loved them, I myself had an eco intuitive washing machine for 12 years, the computer started to play up flashing on and off so we decided to buy a new one which ended up being the 10kg WA1068P1. I was so excited to get a bigger machine, but have been so let down by this machine, I constantly find lindt all over my clothes and worse than anything this machine has been damaging many towels, linen, and clothes, the fabric is coming out with pilling, buttons are getting...Read more
ripped off, seams are be worn and starting to rip. I have had the machine for 18 months now, I had the fisher and paykel service man out to see the machine and I said this might sound stupid but this machine seems to be damaged our clothes and towels, he said "no, you not the only one, many people are experiencing the same issue, as there is a gap on the edge at the bottom of the machine between the bowl and the wide base of the agitator where items can get caught when the machine is spinning". I personally think the increase in speed during spinning to 1100 has not helped this issue either. This has caused many damaged items and due to the flaw in the machine, I sent an email with images to Fisher & Paykel about some sort of compensation for damage clothing and linen as fisher & paykel are well aware of this flaw in the machine. I didn't hear back for over a week, so I spoke with a someone from an apparently high-level investigations team and they told me they had sent me a return parcel satchel, and that I needed to send them all the damaged items as below, to them for investigation, I asked would I be getting the items back, they said NO. I asked how do I know whether you will compensate me, their response was "we are a big company we won't do that". They said they have had other situations like this and that those people sent their clothes in, I said well isn't their items enough to test then, and they said no. Damages Items: 1 x Sheridan Quilt cover (ripped at the buttons on the bottom) 1 x Sheridan Flat sheet (ripped edging) 2 x Sheridan Fitted Sheet (Ripped)Purchased in July 2021 at Harvey Norman for $1,388.00.

Worst Machine Ever
I purchased this machine because I have a large family. I previously had a 7kg machine which was fantastic. Also a fisher and Paykel and never gave me any problems.
With this machine I have had problems washing with cold water. It was leaving scud marks on my clothes, I only use the best liquid and when the technician came he told me it was best to wash in hot water. This is ridiculous that I can’t use cold water.
My next problem is I keep getting lint all over my black clothes. It is unexceptable that my children have lint on their school clot...Read more

So far so good
After having LG washing machines for 15 years, I was looking for a new washing machine that would not wrinkle my clothes and lint free.
Likes:
1. Has so many functions,
2. clothrs are wrinkle free,
3. Lint free,
4. Big size, grear for blankets,
Dislikes:
1. Speedy function is almost 40 minutes,
2. Regular and normal Cycles are quite lengthy,

Terrible Washing Machine -Terrible Customer Service - Buyer Beware!
I purchased on 18 February 2018. In April 2018 the machine is inoperable. The Fisher & Paykel WA1068P1 was recommended by Choice Magazine and I wanted a reliable washing machine that worked and did what it is supposed to do. I purchased from The Good Guys Alexandria and paid extra for premium delivery and installation to minimise any possible issues.
The manual was read and the washing machine was operated according to instructions. The machine was level. The automatic water level option was used.
On use the first issue to become obvious is th...Read more

Strong smart loader.
Plenty of options to choose from when washing. Have put in large loads consistently and seems to do a pretty good job. I have used Fisher front loaders but prefer the top loader edition seems to get the job and stir the suds around more effectively. Can be too aggressive

The little washer that could
Purchased in 2013, were were a little worried about the push-button controls, having only ever owned rotary knob washers. Since that time, we've been very impressed with the washer performance. It senses the level of clothing in the bowl, and adjusts the water level accordingly. It's saved us a bit of money on water usage, and it's ability to pre-program washes based on the dirtiness of clothing, rinsing, soaking and drying options is virtually endless.
Clothes are cleaned and rinsed well - there's no soapy residue (as we've experienced with ...Read more

Hmmmm....too early to call!!!
Replaced our 10 year dud Simpson with this one but it's too early to judge the performance. My other half is not enterly convinced yet! She chose this one because it had an agitator so am staying right out of it!! However, it's not as versatile as stated on the brochure! On the hindsight maybe the basic model would have been a better choice.

Not the best.
Cleans clothes fine but we have had to have it serviced twice.
The agitator wings broke off through normal wear and tear. Had to replace that.
The computer died, had to replace that.
Otherwise, it's a washing machine, it does what a washing machine should do.
If I could go back, I would buy a machine without an agitator.

Cleans like a dream
After our Hoover decided to die after 18 years I decided to go for something a little more intelligent. The Fisher & Paykel 10kg washing machine is an absolute beauty! a major upgrade from my previous washer. It cleans clothes perfectly and is easy to use with all its pre selected modes. It's great on water efficiency and runs fairly quietly compared to my previous machine. I love the feature of the washing detergent being circulated when the machine is filling up.

Not as good as expected.
Frustrating that you can't fill the machine with water and pause or stop it for a few minutes - or longer - and start it when you want. The machine will drain the water out...They say it's a safety feature however it's quite a tall at almost 1m high at the front. Well I'm sorry if someone chooses to put their heads into the washing machine while it's filling - or stopped - who am I to stop them... Tells you how long left to go - which isn't accurate - and doesn't tell you what part of the cycle it's on eg wash/first rinse/second rinse/ or spin...Read more
. I find this extremely annoying - if I want to add something to the spin cycle I can't - it goes back to rinse again. Seems hard on clothes. Would prefer better lint removal. Do like it can hold more items - but that's one reason why you would get it in the first place. The hoses are flimsy - not like previous F & P washing machines. Did prefer previous models.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Not as impressed as I was hoping to be.
I was a bit unsure about this machine as I'd read a few reviews that said it wasn't very good at filtering the lint out, but I'd also read a lot of good reviews. I'm mostly happy with it as it does a good job of washing the clothes, however I do sometimes have a problem with lint, especially on the towels.
That being said, the 10kg capacity is absolutely fantastic! I can fit twice as much washing in as I could in my old Ariston 8kg front loader, and it washes them quicker too.
I'm overall fairly happy with it, but the lint issue can get a tad annoying.

Would Definitely Recommend
I have had 2 previous F&P top loading washing machines.
The first "Eco-Active" model I sold to my mother when I had to downsize when moving into a unit. She totally loved it, as did I.
The second was the smaller version on the original and after approx 13 years of loyal service it started to get a little tired.
There was no hesitation in buying another F&P machine. In fact, I was a little sad to see my old machine go ... but ... I think I am a little in love with the new machine.
I have read some of the other reviews but can't agree. I have always been a laundry sorter and have never had a problem with lint.

Best Machine Ever!!
Got rid of the over $1000 Panasonic front loader always chewing up my clothes. After extensive research I went with this machine. Best choice I ever made. I am so happy with this machine, it cleans clothes really well and the agitator is not too big so it doesn't tangle clothes. The only thing is there was a fair bit of lint on the clothes, it's suppose to be a no filter machine that washes away lint. I called Fisher and Paykal and they sent me out a filter. I will give it 5 stars for quality of machine and service. ★♥¨*:•.THANK YOU.•:*¨¨*♥

Lint!
I love the capacity of this machine. Do not need to do so many loads as drum is so large. What would have been 1.5 loads only takes 1 load for this machine. Have read reports about not being to add in clothes but you can. Don't pause the machine just add before the spin. Maybe certain cycles you can do this. I can do this on regular. But my biggest gripe is the lint. I've read the Instructions about separating the lint givers and receivers but keep coming up with articles that need to have lint removed frequently. Have never had to use tape so ...Read more

Good top loader
We bought this washing machine to replace an Electrolux 7.5KG front loader one that died and was struggling with the volume of washing for a family of 4 with 2 boys.
We wanted the 10KG volume because we were doing so many loads of washing and it was taking a whole day to do washing on the weekend. With this change we've gone from 6 loads to 2.
On the machine itself (will get onto the top vs front loader issue in a second) its fine and does what you want with no issues and the build and finish quality seems to be good.
It fits a lot of ...Read more
washing in it. I know there are 10KG+ front loaders but I can't see how they could compare, this thing is huge. It has a lot of programs which is good but we only use the quick wash and easy iron really anyway. It has auto water level sensing which seems to work well and the lid has an auto lock but allows you access when its not spinning or is paused (another plus for top loaders...). Its also very quite.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love it!
Bought this machine 6 months ago and so far it is a dream! Very quiet, touch controls with a smooth selection dial. The panel for the touch controls is glass and the lid toughen glass, so I know this will last for a very long time, if treated properly. The 10kg capacity is great for king sized sheets or a weeks of dirty clothes.

Best thing I've spent my money on!
This washing machine is the best after having a sensor machine, going from agitater then a sensor to agitater again I would never recommend a sensor machine ever they are a waste of money and water! we were recommended a sensor machine and wished we had never brought it from the start. This machine cleans within 40minutes and it's the quietist machine I've been around. You have more options with water levels soil levels and also has a echo wash if you like to save water. The noise for when it's finished isn't annoying and is loud enough to be h...Read more
eard with a door closed. I'm glad I spent the money I did for it because it's definitely going to last me a while. My previous one wasn't even 6 years old before it started to die leaving rust over clothes and not cleaning anything properly eg socks would still come out smelling like socks still. If you are looking for a good long lasting reliable machine I would recommend this one.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Questions & Answers
Jo W.asked
My machine fills up, very slowly because we have low water pressure. I open the lid and watch the level of water covering the clothes. Then the lid locks, it does some kind of surge sound, and when I can open up the lid again it seems to have emptied itself and the detergent and then it starts again. After 10-12 minutes into the cycle, it then starts washing. It doesn't matter if I choose auto fill or not, or Eco wash? Also it is very noisy clonking sound as it is detecting the water level.

My control dial only allows me to select two options Regular and Heavy. It won’t turn to highlight any other options. Any ideas?

Since we have received our lint filter our machine washes much better. Still have ‘some’ lint issues but not as bad as before. Have been advised to manually adjust water level as machine will automatically use least amount of water.
