Antibac has your back

published

I find the anti bac has good coverage. The smell takes a couple weeks to disappear though. You need to get it up quick and roll on wet to avoid roller lines. The low sheen finish is probably a bit shinier than other brands and what I would prefer, and it does texture/orange peel more easily than other brands, but the colour is perfect and it is easy to clean compared to other paints. I’ve rolled it, sprayed it and also sprayed with an airless and back rolled and all methods work well. Spraying does tend to go through more.

Purchased in April 2021 at Dulux Trade Centre for A$200.00.

I agree and for those who have purchased the product from The retailer you should request a credit from them then perhaps they can register your complaint. As a professional painter that's had very bad experiences with this product I'm disgusted to receive a report from the manufacturer saying I'm the only one to complain about the poor coverage. Poor response when you consider how poorly the product rates here and how many others experienced the same issues.
To all you DIYers, it's happening to us pro's as well so don't accept excuses from them!

Paint drying too fast?? and going grainy

published

I am so happy to see this post as my husband and I just nearly pulled out our hair trying to work out what was going on with the paint. This is exactly what is happening! It is drying before we get it on and so beads the paint on brushes and roller. We still have the tin and will make contact with the reseller tomorrow

Hi.
Thank you for your reply. The reseller replaced our tin with another of the same product. The new tin was great.

Peels Off During Painting

published

This product is terrible, peels off as you're painting. The paint clumped on both the brush and the roller before half of a wall was completed. When you roll over, your last run in your next run the paint just pulls straight off the wall. Coverage is poor and dried paint debris is left all through the finished coat now have to return the product sand and start again. I've renovated 5 houses and never had this issue before.

Wash & Wear +Plus Anti-Bac

Can I use white wash and wear + anti bac in my bathroom ceiling?

Hi Elizabeth,
Thanks for your question. Yes you can use Dulux Wash&Wear +PLUS Anti Bac on your ceilings. Note this is a low sheen finish. We also have a ceiling product with mould resistance properties designed for bathroom spaces - Dulux Ceiling White, Kitchen & Bathroom. The advantage of using this over Dulux Wash&Wear is that you'll achieve a flatter finish which is often desired on ceilings to help reduce the appearance of imperfections. When applying in a small area, remember to keep doors & windows open to help with ventilation. Ideally keep them open until your paint smell has dissipated. A fan can also be handy to help with this.
Kind regards,
Dulux Australia

Wash & Wear +Plus Anti-Bac

How long does it take to dry using wash and wear any bacterial?

I did not use the bacterial wash & Wear and it perhaps did look like it was going to take longer to dry so we applied the 2nd coat the next day....as for drying after 1st application I could not be totally sure as we left as soon as coat one was done.

Hi Gailee,

The standard recoat time for Wash&Wear +Plus Anti-Bac is 2 hours. That time is based on a standardised room temperature of 25 degrees and 50% humidity. In reality, environmental conditions vary and should be taken into account when painting. When applied in lower temperatures or in higher humidity, the drying and recoat time will take longer. On the other hand, when applied in hotter temperatures and lower humidity, paint dry times will be less.

Regards,
