Great tyre for price point
The Dunlop SP SportMaxx TT is an excellent all rounder. I would doubt there is a better tyre for most cars & conditions in this price point. I noticed the complaint from a Subaru AWD owner and in Dunlops defence, Subaru's AWD system chews out front tyres faster than the rears for some reason. I think they get 'pushed' a little whilst cornering or the drive split perhaps, but there is definitely something to it. Anyway, the Sport Maxx TT are awesome. I got a full set for $600 fitted in 245-40-18. My car has around 400hp & the V8 develops a lot o...Read more
f torque. I don't drive it in the rain but the dry weather grip is very good. They look good, are quiet and offer exceptional grip even under duress. The Dunlops replaced Hankook S2 Nobles which wore faster than I would have liked. They are down to the wear indicators @28000km. I check tyre pressure every two weeks without fail & rotate my own wheels when I do the oil change every 4-5000 kms. My reason to purchase the Dunlop besides the great deal, was the amount of positive reviews relating to handling and tyre endurance. I am impressed at this stage and will be interested to check their progress at the first rotation. I cannot stress how important it is to check tyre pressure regularly. Every month is a good habit to get into and rotate your tyres every six months. I believe most people's tyre issues come from alignment & failing to rotate/check pressure on a consistent basis. Safe driving folks & thanks Dunlop.Purchased in May 2021 for $620.00.

Top Tyres Great Wear
I have them on my 2014 Mazda 3 Astina 6s 2.5 ltr. I have driven over 213,000 km's so far (that's correct), mostly highway but also a lot of city, and on my 2nd set only. Got 120,000km out of my first set and now ready to purchase my 3rd set. Great tyres, great grip and extra long wearing. Luv em

High performance, low mileage.
These tyres were factory fitted as original equipment. The specific tyre size in this review refers to 225/40/R18 92W.
I really enjoyed driving my Alfa Giulietta with the Sport Maxx TT. They responded beautifully and kept their composure under duress which inspired confidence in both wet and dry conditions.
They weren’t too noisy either, though that is dictated by surface conditions as well.
One thing they didn’t have was longevity, but that is to be expected.
Therefore if you expect longevity (ie 50,000km and above) and fantastic performan...Read more

3 tyres drive well!
25K and back tyre has split all the way around on the inside wall. It wasn't just a flat tyre! Was highway driving so have no idea what could have caused it. I hope it is not a common occurrence for these tyres. Any suggestions on what could have cause this?

Brilliant tyres
Seriously grippy tyres. I have these on an Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV and I've never gone around corners faster. There's no sidewall roll under heavy Gs and steering response is immediate and direct. I've done 30k and being a front wheel drive, I have just replaced the fronts. They get very loose when at the end of their life and very hard. My traction control absolutely gets confused and does not work when these tyres are old.
The rears are barely touched so I see another gentleman posting he's done nearly 80k on them. I think it's fair to say I burn through rubber quite fast (ex race driver) so expect life between 30-80k depending on how you drive them. You can drive these hard though no doubt about it and confident feel while doing so.

Very good tyre
These came as standard on my Mazda 3 SP25. I do mostly freeway driving commuting between Sutherland and Wollongong. Very good in dry and wet conditions. Incredibly durable. I've done almost 80k so far and perhaps another 5-10k to go although I'm starting to lose some grip in the wet.

Good at Start, but terrible after 30%
This tyre may be designed to perform tracks for three laps. I had these tyres in my Subaru Impreza front left and right. Yokohama stood three times of life than this crappy tyres. Good if you intend to swap every 10K. Otherwise forget it.
Started wearing off unevenly. Checked in two different places for wheel alignment and balancing. No issues.

Solid performance and durable
Came standard on 2014 Mazda 3, size 215/45r18. Good all round performance but getting a loud drone at 80-90km/h. Up to 75000km now, and still 3-4mm remaining. 4mm centre grooves, 3mm outside grooves, on 44psi fronts and 36psi rears. Ride a bit firm on those pressures but wear pattern suggest they are optimal for this car.
Trying a new tyre next time round.

Very Impressive Tyre
These came standard on my new 2015 Mazda 3 SP25GT, an excellent handling and braking tyre in wet and dry conditions. Little bit noisy on some road surfaces, So far just over 24,000 km's om them now and they about half worn so I expect to get about 50,000 km's out of them, but I do run them 2psi more than what Mazda recommends 37 front - 35 rear, and the dealer rotates them every 10,000 km's.
Overall a very impressive tyre.

UPDATE: I have now done over 47,000 KM's on these tyres and it looks like there is about 20,000 KM's left in them.

Pretty Good Tire
Got a set of 215/45/18s stock on my new 2014 Mazda 3. Being summertime all the time in Thailand these tires handle excellent in wet and dry conditions. The only complaint I have is that they are noisy on rough roads.

Best tyres ever
I bought a VW Passat V6 AWD 2007 car second hand off a guy who didn't know anything about tryes. He had to replace 4 tryes to make it roadworthy and he asked me what i would like. Of course he didn't want to blow out a lot of money on someone else so i paid the differene to get the Sport Maxx TT fitted before i bought it. Having previously owned and VW Golf R32 2008 with the same tyres, which came standard from Germany, which is were they are made. I instantly fell in love with the traction in the wet and dry. The first ever tyre to squeal in t...Read more
he wet when cornering hard. The guy drove his passat home awaiting his roadworthy and called me as soon as he got home to say how unbelievable the Sport Maxx TT's were. His words were (I had no idea that there was a difference between good and bad tyres untill now) For between $250 - $350 a trye i am suprised to hear that the previous 2 reviewers have been getting poor lifespan out of their Tyres. Maybe the Sport Maxx TT dont suit those cars very well !!! I have now had my passat for over 2 years and travelled 45,000 and i live in the mountains and drive my car very hard around the corners and still have not used half my tread. My previous Golf R32 was sold with the original Tyres with half the tread left and might i add it had 52,000 clicks on it. Maybe German tyres are made for German Cars !!! All i can say is bloody awesome tyre with mind blowing handling for a pretty good price if you shop around. Sticky Tyre in both Wet & Dry, Unbelievably long lifespan in my last 2 cars even being driven hard on the corners. Exceptional Value for money. Good looking tyres too.Similar opinion? Good tyres but very short life span!!!
Well, I had these tyres on my 07 Subaru Liberty STi when I bought her from the first owner last year May. All the tyres were in good condition I would say abou 90% thread left. The owner claimed that he had them replaced (original PZero Rosso 215/45ZR/18) a few months ago with these Dunlops 225/40ZR/18. To my opinion they are good tyres if you just after dry and wet performance, the front two tyres on my STi gone bold in about 10,000kms, and the rear ones had about 40% thread left. I couldn't believe it. They were too noisy too. I got them repla...Read more

Excellent
I have these on my car at the moment and I honestly have to put in some effort to make them slip in the wet, even on a slope. They truly are a performance tyre. As previously mentioned they are not a long-life tyre, but I'll take a safe tyre over a long-life tyre any day of the week.
Exceptional grip in both wet and dry conditions.
Not much really. Not a long lasting tyre, but tyre performance is always a trade-off between longevity and safety. Probably good for about 40,000km, but that's still about 3 years or so for the average driver.

efore they need replacing, although if you're gonna fork out the cash for performance tyres in the first place you're probably also the kind of person who will replace tyres early anyway, since the equation always favoured the safety variable over everything else.Similar opinion? It's short for Touch Technology. See here: http://www.dunloptyres.com.au/about-us/dunlop-tyre-technology/
But in the end, it's just marketing speak. All they're saying is that the Sport MAXX TT is a tyre designed to perform well in a variety of driving conditions.
