good family size dryer at mid range pricing
the electrolux 6.5 kg auto sense dryer is a good size for `a family of 4 adults.
It takes a full laundry size load of underwear, socks etc which included cotton and was dry after using the 40 minute quick cycle
it is also quiet when running.
Ideal dryer for mid.range price

Great Product
Really good machine, sensor is excellent. Many on the market but this cannot be beat for price, size of load capacity and how it works. Very happy with decision. Had for 3 months now and works well every time no matter if clothes, sheets or blankets. Certainly recommend this machine.

So far so good
I got this dryer a few weeks ago and so far I'm happy. It's a large dryer so I'm able to fit more clothes and it fits blankets. We use our dryer every day because our dogs jump and wild rip our clothes of our clothesline. The only problem I find is that even on Boost mode, some loads still come out slightly damp
Overall I'm happy

Questionable sensor and noisy
Dryer seems to dry fine. However it is noisy but I believe this is standard for vented dryers.
My issue with it is that the sensor doesnt seem to be working properly. It has three sensor drying settings: Iron, Normal, Extra. I have been using Iron Dry and the clothes never come out slightly damp as is how it should be. But instead come out completely Dry. As a test I put my newly "Iron Dry" clothes back in the dryer when it had cooled and ran it again on Iron Dry, and the dryer took 15 mins ofdrying before it turned off the heat.
I bought this dryer specifically becuase it had a sensor so this is dissapointing. I have contacted Electrolux about this and will update my review with thier response.

A compact clothes dryer without comprising on capacity
I reside in an inner city apartment and my laundry is of a minimal size, and thus my vented clothes dryer needs to be wall mounted above my Fisher & Paykel Washing Machine. Allowing for my wishing machine's lid, I needed a clothes dryer which was no more than 795mm tall. It was harder than you think. The only brand I could find that met these height restrictions was the Electrolux brand. All other remaining brands were over 800mm in height. I was very pleased to find the Electrolux Vented Clothes Dryer, Model EDV6552, of 6.5kg capacity, s...Read more
tainless steel drum, sensor dry & crease free options, and able to be wall mounted. Though much research, I located this clothes dryer at Winning Appliances internet site for $487, being part of the EOFY specials. Of course, installation was an extra $150 as they contract all installation of appliances to a private company, and it includes two men coming to your home to install. I chose this option for peace of mind, but should you have an existing Westinghouse or Electrolux clothes dryer, the wall brackets are the same and does not require installation, other than lifting and placing the dryer onto the wall brackets. I have had the dryer for a month now and have used it daily. The dryer is quiet and efficient with all my clothes coming out crease free and thoroughly dry. You cannot ask more than that from a dryer. It is without hesitation I recommend the Electrolux EDV6552 6.5kg Vented Clothes Dryer.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

The cotton-like substance inside the filter is called the lint. Is this meant to be removed and disposed off or left to be part of the plastic holder ?
1 answer
Victor, you're meant to empty the filter (remove and dispose of the lint) after each cycle.

We've just put our dryer on the wall. It came with a control panel sticker. How is it meant to be applied? Do you remove the old one first, or put it over the top?

I would like to wall mount this dryer upside down. Does it come with a sticker for the controls so it is easy to read?
