Perfect
Just purchased this last week. So happy with my purchase. I purchased the stacking kit with my dryer as I have an Electrolux washing machine. This kit was easy to assemble and he dryer fits snug as a bug. Dries clothes efficiently provided that you have your setting ms right. Have read a lot of reviews of this dryer not drying properly but I have had no trouble yet.

Love it!
This is a very quite dryer for such a big machine. We struggle to usually dry our blankets for a queen bed, but this dryer easily fits it in. Has easily read controls and easy to clean filter vent which is amazing. We use our dryer on a daily basis and it barely impacted our bill at all.

King Sheets don't Ball
Purchased Electrolux EDV6552 6.5k Auto Sensor Dryer June 2018
This dryer has reverse cycle! 60 seconds one way then 60 seconds the other. Sheets do NOT ball up !!! A King Sheet set - 1x top & 1x base sheet & 4x pillowcases dry on extra dry auto sensor takes 1 hour. No need to stop machine to untangle.....its a miracle! We have an Airbnb & this is vital for me. This machine is not expensive and it works. I researched for weeks condenser & expensive heat pump options but they still ball sheets. My research found that the old style Simpson & the...Read more
Electrolux model that I purchased were about the only machines that did a 50/50 reverse cycle. Most machines go only one way & some such as Miele go 10 cycles one way to 300 the other way .....expensive & still ball sheets. All Bosch machines only go one direction & sheets are impossible to dry. My EDV6552 drys guest towels on Normal dry Auto Sensor perfectly. I felt compelled to share this information as I wasted weeks researching. I bought the vented kit to go out the back wall but so far have not fitted as the dryer is right next to the laundry door & by opening the laundry door 20cm the vent angles right out the door so no condensation issue. With door shut venting would be definitely be necessary though. I had to ring each manufacturer directly to find out reverse cycle information & could have easily wasted my money on something fancy that could not dry sheets! Cost Breakdown 6.5 k Dryer with 2 year manufacturers warranty plus additional 4 year replacement warranty total 6 years $540 plus venting kit $35 and Stacking rubber kit $25 Final price $600 Harvey Norman Bendigo

Great Value Dryer
This is a great value dryer i ever had, it has a great quality for Sensor Dryer, It will stop itself if the clothes has dry and this is a BIG advantage for saving electricity. However other bad thing about this makes the whole room condensation, and also it is a little bit noisy but still acceptable.

Very good machine, wall mountable
Great little dryer at an excellent price, bought from JB Hi-fi, wall mounted it upside down to save space, which was great, came with a replacement stick in face plate for the selection menu so that everything wasn't upside down. Very easy and intuitive to use, hardly needed the manual at all. Highly recommended.

Good Dryer with a Fair Price
This is not the best energy efficient dryer in the market but all the energy efficient ones are very more expensive than this one .
This dryer has a lot of options, very easy to use and it has a sensor dry. It has also child saftey on its door. Very Reliable Product !

Dryzabone
This is a great dryer, with 6.5 kgs capacity it takes the biggest load of wet washing and with its great range of settings there is a suitable drying setting for all type of clothes, linen etc. The unit is seriously quiet and the filter works a treat. Get the dry clothes out at the end of cycle and there is minimal creasing. Would be good to have a visual timer so you know how long to go in the cycle.

Good for rainy days
Good clothes dryer. The price is reasonable as well. Dries them nicely without damaging the clothes and making them wrinkled. Has nice modes and options. Its not energy efficient and a bit noisy but ok as in my house the laundry is separate and i am keeping it as a back up for rainy days.

Great dryer
Happy with my new dryer - quiet, can either do a sensor dry or set the time eg: 60min. I fill the dryer after a few loads of washing, so the size is good ( my previous dryer was only 4kg but I'm sure I exceeded that weight and it kept on working) basically set and forget. The only con for me is that you cant tell how much time is remaining - just if it is drying or at cooling down stage. An easy to operate dryer with a few nifty features like a refresh and anti-crease function. Still need to clean the filter after each load as per normal - a good little vented clothes dryer that I am happy with so far.

It's okay. It eventually gets clothes dry
I brought this drier to mainly dry my daughter sleeping bags which they are thick and hard to dry in a day in winter. The sensor function even on 'extra dry' doesn't work very well at all, i always find some damp stuff in my washing. I never over fill it or even close so bit of a shame. I just set it on a timer and go check it occasionally. It is easy to open filter to clean, open/ close door and use buttons.

good capacity
Dryer is not too noisy and got various functions. Easy to remove lint and clean interior. To avoid moisture build up in the laundry, it is better to buy a hose that can lead to the exterior. The dryer energy rating is not so great so may consume more electricity than a condenser or other dryers. Overall I am pleased with its performance

Perfect for drying king size feather doona.
I was looking for the closest thing to a commercial dryer at domestic prices to dry bedding during winter. I was told buy several sales men it was impossible to dry a doona in a domestic dryer yet I went for the Electrolux 6.5kg. It's fantastic & does the job well with plenty of room to move around & the bowl changes rotation throughout the cycle, so no damp patches. The "dry sensor" only works if you either clean the lint filter or turn off the machine in between loads, & I believe it's a gimmick but this is a great machine & needs no gimmicks.

Love this dryer
We bought this as a cheap option due our older dryer not working any more. We have enjoyed having this dryer as a back up to the clothes line. It has variable time settings and is easy to use. There are no difficult settings to try and negotiate when using this dryer.

great model, good value for money
The first dryer we have owned, and we are very happy. Plenty of different settings to suit exactly what you are looking for. It isn't noisy - we use it mostly at night and it never keeps us awake or disturbs it. Has a good quick setting, and doesn't seem to use too much power. Definitely recommend.

Love this dryer!
I love this dryer, for the following reasons:
(1) My clothes/linens always come out dry - previously I had a Fisher and Paykel and often I'd have to put the load on for another round, because parts of it would still be damp.
(2) It's easy to use - it remembers the setting from the previous load, and there's a light to reminds you to clean the filter
(3) It makes a sound when it's done to notify you (you can turn this off if you don't like it, but I find it useful).
(4) The handle has a safety feature button - you need to push in to operate ...Read more

Good product but not the best
Okay, so I can not live without a dryer and it's used literally every single day, and it's still working great, haven't had any problems with it at all, it's super easy to clean and holds a lot of clothes, the only problem I have is it does take alittle longer to dry a load of washing than my old dryer, but it still does a good job

Fantastic but slow
I find it to be slow if you don’t select extra dry.
However it works really well if you do 2 lots of the normal dry. Also throw in a dry towel to help dry the clothes quicker. It pulls out the lint very well and is easy to access the filter. Definitely recommend to small family.

Excellent.
I had to purchase a dryer after having a baby and having massive clothes to wash everyday. Thank God for the dryer. I can do my laundry every other day and still stay on top of my laundry. Clothes are dried well. Lint are removed well. Towels are nice and fluffy.

The cotton-like substance inside the filter is called the lint. Is this meant to be removed and disposed off or left to be part of the plastic holder ?
1 answer
Victor, you're meant to empty the filter (remove and dispose of the lint) after each cycle.

We've just put our dryer on the wall. It came with a control panel sticker. How is it meant to be applied? Do you remove the old one first, or put it over the top?
gerryasked
I would like to wall mount this dryer upside down. Does it come with a sticker for the controls so it is easy to read?
