That's time I'll never get back

published

The set up is overly complicated and the drivers were out of date necessitating 4 calls to the helpdesk in the Philippines to update properly. One of the links that they sent still doesn't work and they haven't sent the correct one yet. I wish that I checked out this forum 1st and bought something else. On the plus side, the prints of photo's are pretty good.

Still a bad printer

published

This is my second Epson 2530. The first one was Dead on Arrival. The current one worked briefly, then gave up. Epson "Help" was able to re-start it but it has again stopped working. A computer expert was able to start it again but once more it has died. Epson online help didn't help very much and there is their usual shortcoming of my having to deal with someone whose first language is not English, which really complicates things. I will NEVER buy another Epson.

Waste of money

published

I bought this printer as I was desperate for one at the time, and it was on special at Dick Smith so I thought yeah it can't be that bad... But it is really that bad. I cannot figure out how to scan to my computer wirelessly, and it doesn't even come with a USB cable! It doesn't even allow me to select wireless scanning as an option (on the printer itself). Printing seems okay... quite intermittent. I also agree with the other reviews that it uses a lot of ink.

Worst printer I've ever had - waste of money

published

WiFi option is intermittent at best, requires frequent reinstallation of software.
Ink cartridges are consumed too quickly.
Status levels indicate up to a quarter of ink remaining but printer won't function.
When ink levels are low the remaining functionality (i.e. scanning) is inoperable.
Use of non-genuine cartridges is also intermittent and inconsistent.
Would never buy another Epson, prefer simple Brother laser printers instead. These are cheap, reliable and have much longer lasting consumables.

Soooo easy to install

published

After returning other brands because of difficulties in start-up. (Plenty of reviews to confirm my problems) I reviewed the EPSON WORKFORCE 2530 and saw there were plenty of reviews reporting ease of set-up and reliability. This is the one for me! So easy to get started (and I'm no tekkie), just follow the simple instructions provided then load the DVD. What followed was very straightforward regarding installing the print drivers and connecting to WiFi. Very competitive price.

My printer stopped printing, just without any reason. I replaced ink cartridges, cleaned the head, but nothing helps. It doesn’t show any mistakes. Have no ideas what else it could be...any ideas, please?
